✠ A Papal Condemnation ✠

Dated 9th of Sigismund’s End 1714

On the eve of 27th of the Sun’s Smile, the armed group known as the ‘Owynists’ have taken up arms against the Holy Mother Church. This began when an imperial retinue were searching the forests of Adria for this group for it was alleged they were trying to force people to join their order and also murdered a baby. After this imperial retinue found them, a monk allegedly tried to intervene, demanding a trial for the Owynists. This was when the monk allegedly tried to hold a blade against Prince Yury’s neck in order to free the Owynists. The monk then fled the scene and were pursued by the imperials, they eventually caught him in Adria and after being tackled, he died. The incident in Adria was witnessed by one of our Archbishops who spoke with Prince Yury who gave him his version of events and requested a report of the incident he would give to the Pontiff so he can make his own decision whether it was lawful or not.

However, before the Archbishop even reached the Holy See to inform the Pontiff of these events, the Owynists were already causing a ruckus in Adria, posting missives about the Churches inaction, this was not even 24 saint hours later before a report was given to the Pontiff. The next saints day whilst most people were sleeping, a band of Owynists had broken into the Holy See with malicious intent. Whilst the Pontiff studied in his quarters, the Owynists burst through the doors with blades ready. They repeatedly stabbed our most beloved Pontiff with no mercy or remorse, citing him as a ‘Puppet Pope’ for the Emperor. Thankfully, with GOD’s grace, a valiant band of Haensetic knights heard this attack and raced to the Pontiffs aid. The assailants were quickly vanquished as physicians set to work on saving the Pontiffs life. It is with divine intervention that our Pontiff survived the attempt on his life, albeit it scarred, blind and severely injured.

In one of the Owynist missive, it names Imperial Prince Yury as a ‘killer of cloth’, and yet here the Owynists committed the most egregious crime and tried to assassinate the Pontiff. It is clear that the Owynists just used the death of the monk as a political point to make themselves appear righteous and pius, but they are nothing of the sort. It is rumoured that they also do not worship GOD himself but a form of clown god known as the ‘Laughing GOD’. Their lies and fallacies have been exposed for they are nothing but opportunists and schemers. It is therefore that we the Holy Mother Church publicly condemn the schismatic group known as the ‘Owynists’. For their crimes against Holy Mother Church and GOD.

Their Crimes

It is hereby that we charge the marauding heretical group known as the ‘Owynists’ with the following crimes. For intentionally spreading misinformation regarding the death of Monk Jedediah, we charge them with defamation and spreading falsities to discredit the Holy Mother Church. For following the pagan GOD called the ‘Laughing GOD’, common followed by the Dimpledorc wizards and/or the clowns, we charge them with heresy. For attempting to force people to join this cult and killing those who refuse, we charge them with murder. For spilling Canonist blood within a consecrated site, we charge them with sacrilege. For blinding and crippling the High Pontiff of the Canonist Church, we charge them with assault on a man of the cloth and an additional charge of sacrilege. For the nature in which the attack took place and the wounds inflicted, we charge the Owynists with the attempted murder of a clergyman and High Pontiff of the Canonist Faith. Any man or woman who takes up arms alongside these heretics will face GOD’s judgement. May GOD have mercy on their souls.

Conclusion

It is thus that we task all faithful men and women of GOD, to bring these heretics to justice no matter the cost. We also task the Fidei Defensor with evicting wherever this group may settle, be it in the Empire or outside of. For they shall be given no reprieve until justice is met. We as canonists have a moral duty to stomp out those who try to destroy or endanger our holy church, we must bring them to GOD so that they will face the consequences for their crimes.
