seannie 7443 Share Posted February 7, 2020 The Lady of Haense, Spirit Incarnate of all Highlanders. “Ea byk zwem zanyotsk ter ea byk denpetravesk.” “I would have Perished had I not Persisted.” The First Address of His Majesty, the King of Haense, Otto Sigismund Barbanov, 6th Godfrey’s Triumph, 1754 | 6th of Vyzmey and Hyff, 307 With the passing of a new solstice, we see the rise of tensions once more. As the land returns to its peaceful origins, its inhabitants seek to spill more of each other’s blood. We find ourselves upon the precipice of this war, watching from our walls as an army looms over our lands like wolves stumbling upon a pen of sheep. The Boy-King of Haense and his entourage upon the newly constructed ‘Geltenkaros’, ready for the Expedition to Athera. But we Haeseni are guardians, shepherds of the masses against unholy forces of evil. Since forevermore, we have guarded the realms of men from the unnatural, and most of the time, from itself. It is due to this inherent nature that we have bound ourselves to the Holy Orenian Empire, pledging our eternal loyalty to the Apex of Humanity, the Emperor Peter. With our forces combined, we are capable of achieving feats beyond the norm - an illustrious Empire that stretches from shining sea to shining sea, where both the land and its people are at peace with one another. A land where the law is paramount, a land with defined hierarchy, a land where gentlemanly conduct is expected. However, as aforementioned, nefarious foes would attempt to see our dreams undone; brigands of Lorraine, Orcish crazed Vikingr of Morsgrad, and Ruberni cossack traitors, each and every one of them agents of chaos. They do not adhere to law and order like our fair people - instead, they rut in the mud like pigs and cattle, opting out to slay each other by the sword rather than abide to the laws of civilization. Their tendrils spreading far and wide, greedily sinking their claws into whatever they can, oblivious to the repercussions of their actions. These people wish to destroy our way of life, returning us back to a dark age of regression akin to that of the Courlandic Empire. The Trial of the Century. Crown v Carrington. And though our numbers are raw and in some cases, inexperienced (an indication of our unparalleled growth), and while we do suffer setbacks on the warfront, there is one thing our enemies have no hold over us; our indomitable will. There have been many instances in history where we, the Haeseni, should have been destroyed entirely, our people scattered to the wind - but Godan Above has instilled within us a spirit so unbreakable that we persist. In this, we have bestowed our attitude to our compatriots throughout the Empire, fighting side by side in our own band of brothers and sisters, in valiant defense of our integrity. To the very end, we persist, like an enraged Ursus Polaris protecting her cubs, taking blows to the chin, we spit in the face of our enemies, and continue the fight, our heads still held high. However, in this state of mind, we must resolve ourselves to not become like our enemies. We must meet them with clarity and acceptance. There have been too many times where I must count out the passing of the innocence, in the occasions that our people do harm to those who cannot return it. I do officially reprimand such actions, labeling such acts as barbaric, and will seek to prosecute those who would continue such activities. Our qualms are with the governing bodies of these hostile nations - the head of the snake, not the poor and destitute. Soldiers of the Imperial State Army in attendance for a lesson regarding the importance of canine training. I call upon all sane and like minded people - do your part, continue the fight against evil. In this war, we must triumph, we must ensure the survival of our ways, so our children may experience life in a land untouched by heinous conflicts. I shall part ways with this final conclusion, One God, One Emperor, One Country. “To each freeman is his own life, to take it is to be a thief, To each freeman his own time, to take it is to be a slaver, To each freeman his own sword, to take it is to blind him, To each freeman his own wife, to take it is to injure him, And to each freeman his own farm, to take is to make him no man.” The Baptism of Armsman Robin Kartyr, officiated by Father Harald and witnessed by the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. Written on behalf of, Otto Sigismund Barbanov, Ekaterinburg Palace, Royal Capital of Haense, Reza, Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, Holy Orenian Empire, By Georg Lothar Alimar, Ekaterinburg Palace, Royal Capital of Haense, Reza, Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, Holy Orenian Empire. AndrewTech 3331 Share Posted February 7, 2020 Sir Konrad Stafyr KM looks up from a copy of the proclamation. Grinning, the elderly knight says to a pair of nearby Hussars, “Time to finish up this fight, lads.” Shortly thereafter, he saddles up his horse to prepare for the battles that are yet to come. King Andrik IV of Haense can’t help but to sniffle, wiping away a tear as he catches wind of the Palatine’s statement on behalf of his son from the Seven Skies.”You’ll do well, Otto Sigismund, for history will remember that our side of this war was the side of that which is right. The men of the North shall yet prevail!”
