TO THE DENIZENS OF OUR ORENIAN EMPIRE,

 

We approach a peak time in the Holy Orenian Empire, passing the recent Ruby Jubilee for the longest reigning emperor, Peter III, as well as war that seems to occupy our thoughts. 

 

This grand empire that seems to stand the test of time, treasonous vipers, and a plethora of other vices, has now been blessed with approaching the quatercentenary of our beloved dynasty. Four hundred years has this Empire stood strong, swayed and broken but always returning to the glory that the human race has been known for. Connecting all of man and woman in joyous bouts of nationalist spirit, truly making what is known as one of the strongest civilizations in every realm and continent

 

BRIEF HISTORY ON THE BEGINNINGS:

 

The beginning of the Holy Oren Empire can be traced as far back to the continent of Asulon which spanned through the years 1351-1414. When former Emperor Godfrey Horen was regarded a prophet by the Church of the True Faith, he united the Kingdoms of Seventis, Salvus, Hanseti, and Renatus back into one political state formally  formering the first Holy Oreninan Empire in the year 1378.

 

[!] This is the first coat of arms established by his Imperial Majesty, Godfrey I.

 

Shortly after Godfrey’s death in 1414, his eldest son Horen I took onto the throne and became the second ruler of the Holy Orenian Empire, his reign spanning from 1414 to 1420. Thereafter his son took the crown, William I, reigning a similar six years such as his father from the date 1420-1426.

FIVE DAY FACTION TOURNAMENT:

 

TO BEGIN THE CELEBRATION WE WILL HOLD AN EMPIRE WIDE AND FIVE DAY LONG TOURNAMENT WHERE THE CITIZENS OF THE HOLY ORENIAN EMPIRE WILL BE SPLIT INTO THREE FACTIONS:

 

Faction Nauzica: (Written by @erik0821

The Nauzica, an organization founded by Charles Henry Horen. It originally began as his personal retinue granted to him by Benda Chivay. From the moment John Fredreick took the throne to the Holy Orenian Empire from Guy de Bar, it would be elevated to the prestigious position as defenders of His Imperial Majesty.

 

The Nauzica Brigade was mostly composed of second sons, knights, and on occasion lowborns.The Brigade will fall into disuse after the death of Emperor John VI, it’s Captain would disappear, and there would be multiple attempts by future Emperors to reform the Brigade as it was during the Johannian Era.

 

Faction White Rose: (Written by @Urara)

The Order of the White Rose was founded by four friends - the brother Thomas and Peter Chivay, Velwyn Ashford, and Baldir Toov. The four friends initially founded the White Rose to be a guild of monster hunters. They came to the attention of Exalted Godfrey after battling and successfully slaying the infamous Frost Witch Brunhylde Volsung. 

 

Exalted Godfrey saw great potential in the fledgling Order and began to promote their growth. He named Thomas and Peter as counts, placing them under direct vassalage to the crown, and made the White Rose an official chapter of Oren's knightly order - The Order of the Red Dragon. 

 

The White Rose and the Chivays would meet their final end, however, in the Vibian Coup of 1467. Vibius de Sola, the Lord Marshal of Oren, lead a coup against Emperor Robert I Chivay - leading to his exile and replacement with Boris I Carrion.

 

Faction Teuton: (Written by @Mirtok)

The Teutonic Order was a military organization founded by Hochmeister Gaius Marius in Aegis to strengthen Humanity against the Undead incursion. Through a number of victorious campaigns, the Order eventually gained control of half of Humanity and created the Realm of Hanseti composed of mostly Northerners. 

 

In the realms of Asulon, the Teutonic Order led by Hochmeister Mirtok DeNurem was the last to be conquered by Godfrey Horen, forming the first Holy Oren Empire. Despite this, their tenure within the Empire was that of fierce loyalty and unmatched zeal, bringing immense glory to the Empire through military conquest. The Order saw its last days as a part of the Empire in Anthos repelling hordes of mutant invaders in the North from within the legendary Castle Greywynn.

(OOC: WITHIN THE FIVE DAYS, SURPRISE EVENTS WILL SPRING UP DURING THE DAY TIME AND NIGHT. EACH EVENT A FACTION WINS WILL GATHER ONE POINT FOR THEIR WHOLE TEAM. THESE EVENTS WILL INCLUDE PVP AND NON-PVP TO ACCOMMODATE EVERYONE.)

 

FESTIVAL AND FAIR:

The city of Helena will be hosting a festival and fair to celebrate, with stalls and shops from all over the Empire to browse while events happen throughout the day.

 

At four o’clock: A mass from his Holiness, James II!

At thirty minutes after four: The Carrington Casino under the tavern will open and you will be able to gamble and drink!

At five o’clock: A drinking contest held by Alpha Carrington, with a thousand mina prize to whoever can drink the most.

At six o’clock:  A speech held by the Arch-Chancellor, Simon Basrid

At seven o’clock: The closing ceremony for the winning faction, as well as prizes given out to the most actively participated member of each faction.
