STAMUS CONTRA MALO “WE STAND AGAINST EVIL”

Dearly beloved, the Gospel tells us that in every era, God provides signs of His watchfulness (Gospel 5:27). Though the Prophets have passed into the Skies, we do not live in the time of Silence--He speaks to us each day, issuing His command to those faithful who will listen.

I write to you now from my office in the Basilica of the Final Revelation, where just a few feet from me, some hours ago the Archangel Michael manifested to me in a holy apparition. In view of the Grandmaster of the Palatine Guard and Viktor Lorenz Barclay, I was spirited away to a holy realm, where the Prince of Flames commanded me with the Voice of God. I am humbled by this blessing, which is beyond any for which I have prayed.

I relay to you now God’s message to His people: in less than a fortnight, the city of Al-Faiz will fall to the Inferi invasion. But hope is not lost! In our defense of Korvassa, we will save the lives of its people and win a greater prize, which is the favor of the Lord and His protection over them.

You may have heard that the wicked Inferi seized the Hammer of Urguan from its keepers, the dwarven people.  The Prince of Fires has revealed to me that this hammer is in fact Perpatiel, angelic sister of Michael, given worldly form such that Urguan could wield it against Iblees in that battle at the beginning of time. As the Auspice foretells, the wicked have seized the Lord’s earthly gifts, seeking to turn them against His people. But take heart: “And though they are many, the strength of God does not serve the wicked” (Auspice 2:45). Thus God commands that we recover Perpatiel from her demonic captors, rendering her unto the Archangel Michael--this will be our salvation.

Thus I proclaim a Crusade for Perpatiel, the first holy war of its kind in generations. The faithful, all who can bear arms, are called to Korvassa to defend the city of Al-Faiz and seize what the Inferi have stolen. Finally, Michael has given us another gift: as a sign of God’s favor, the faithful will march under the Archangel’s symbol. Let all who serve God in this battle carry the sign of a blazing silver sun on a red field.

“Thus arrayed are the forces of God.” (Auspice 2:22)

DEO GRATIAS,

High Pontiff James II

Spoiler

Lieutenant Viktoriya-Marie, of the Fourth ‘Drazimann’ Brigade would peer down at the missive, a relieved smile forming upon her features as she’d read. Just a Saint’s Hour ago, she’d witnessed the Prince Imperial – Lieutenant Augustus Helena – bust through the doors of the Novellen, screaming of the Pontiff’s supposed capture. Now, was she at ease to know that His Holiness had been within the care of Archangel Michael all along.

”The tides o’ battle ‘ave begun tah turn, comrades! Dun’ give up quite yet!” she’d shout atop her position, alongside her 14 brethren attending the siege – Captain DeNurem, Lieutenant Colonel Baldwin, Captain Othaman, Captain Darkwood, Lieutenant Helena, Lieutenant Pruvia, and Captain Reine, among the few.

”Today, we kick t’ose ugleh bastards en te’ arse n get t’at ‘ammer back te our Dwarven brot’ers n’ sisters!” Viktoriya would then hoist her sheild up – Upon it, painted a regal symbol: the Archangel’s.

Sir Alaric DeNurem casted a confused gaze as per the sudden developments, ”Seems like the tides might be turning, at last.” The Captain remarked within his office, nodding a few.

Philip Augustus can be seen at the corner of the Bastille’s assembly yard, draping a banner across his shield. He grins as the spirit of His good works flow into him, his hands shaking as he fixes the banner, and hefts the shield onto his arm. He steps before a line of Imperial State Army soldiers, and raises it high above his head, for all to see,

“Behold, the Lord gives us the aegis of His faith! So holy are we, to fight with His emblem! To be His crusaders!”

Grandmaster Ademar got down onto one knee, his hands resting upon the hilt to his sword as the point was aiming the ground. He lowered his head before the altar, shut his eyes, and prayed in preparation for the upcoming Holy War. “GOD wills it.” He said aloud after he had concluded the prayer.
