[8.0] VORTEX PROGRESSION TIPS

Preface

You've made it to bronze tier, great! You've just reached the tip of the iceberg of the vortex plugin. As a player of the beta, I'm here to enlighten you guys on some ways we can crack this bronze wall and progress even further.

 

While most vortex materials can be crafted with the vortex blast furnace as well as vortex blacksmith table, they happen to be only tier 1 vortex crafting stations. Tier 2 vortex crafting stations are needed to progress pass this tier. These vortex crafting stations are crafted with tier 2 versions of the standard vortex material. For example, while the vortex blast furnace is made out of smooth stone, a normal furnace and iron  - the second tier vortex blast furnace is made of 'vortex thick stone', a vortex blast furnace and iron.

 

As such, the vortex materials needed to upgrade your vortex crafting benches are:

 

Vortex Sturdy wood -> Vortex Blacksmith table T2  &  Vortex Loom T2

Vortex Thick stone -> Vortex Blast Furnace T2, Vortex Stone Cutter T2

 

Gaining these materials is very difficult, with a 0.1% drop chance from any normal stone or wood node.

 

HERBOLOGY

 Use of the 'Vortex rich loam soil' block is needed to grow herbs and produce potions. A pit has been provided near spawn and will require the use of a steel shovel to harvest.

 

NEW RECIPES

An example of these new Vortex recipes being unlocked for you are:

 

Vortex Steel! Crafted using Vortex iron ingots and vortex charcoal.

 

Vortex Thanic steel! Crafted using Vortex thanic shard and 5 ingots of Vortex steel.

- A resource pit for 100% drop chance Vortex thanic shards has been provided at spawn.

 

Vortex Fae Steel! Crafted using a Vortex fae shard and 5 ingots of Vortex steel.

 

Vortex Daemon steel! Crafted using Vortex inferi blood and 5 ingots of Vortex steel.

 

Vortex Aengul steel! Crafted using an Vortex aengul eye and 5 ingots of Vortex steel.

 

Keep in mind these are all high tier items unlocked by vortex progression to T2 vortex work stations and may process special properties ;). Hint: one of them allows you to teleport small distances. Vortex Reagents are also rare drops from stone with an unknown drop percentage.

 

 

Bear in mind I don't have all the answers, just wanted to provide some tips for players to progress

Different Tiers of crafting tables were not present in the Vortex Alpha (base tier could craft anything if u had enough proficiency to do it), nor were Fae or Aengul Steel. Vortex Alpha team has not been contacted or informed about any of the information here.

 

You can't be a member of the Vortex Beta because there is no Vortex Beta, only the Alpha team and the player testing going on in the transition map right now.

Am I the only one who's bothered about the complete ignoring of years old lore? Thanhium is supposed to be a highly dangerous material. The fact that joe shmoe can go out and mine it and then turn it into an alloy is wild to me. How is this okay? The complete disregard for a basic piece of lore has me really worried about what alchemy and enchanting are going to look like..

Day 100 in the Vortex. @FlemishSupremacy is the only player managing to Vortex craft Vortex Tier 5 Vortex Goods. Every day she logs in with over 15 minecraft alts combined from a pool of my accounts, Wolfkite's, and their own. She can Surge Kill you in one Surge Click. New players are personally Vortex calling Nickrocky's IRL Vortex phone to beg him for more energy. Vortex microtransactions are Vortex approved to reset your own energy bar for 99c. Sham404 has Vortex Joined the Development Team using a custom in-game Vortex recipe that Vortex sets your Vortex Pex to Tech. People are still Vortex begging in OOC chat about how to Vortex use the Vortex Loamy Soil Vortex Dropdown Menu.
