The Execution of a Daniel de Falstaff

Not long after the ISA and other faithful servants of The Holy Orenian Empire defended a conscripted and confused child soldier who was abandoned by the group’s leader - his own father - from the traitors and desperate vagrants of Sedan, it seems the fleeing army left a singular man behind, without any thought to his wellbeing, safety, or allegiance to their group. The traitorous Sedanites attempted for some long hours to break into the nearly impenetrable Bastion but they were held off from their child soldier by some mere planks of wood as a barricade. After they realized there was no chance that they could bust the locks, they promptly fled to their country-side hobbles. Soon after this group retreated, the situation was explained to the child before he was released without injury.

After a prompt capture, the ISA hauled the traitorous man by the name of Daniel de Falstaff into the courtyard where he was then executed. Let this be a public notice to all traitors of the Holy Orenian Empire, death will be swift and your ‘rebellion’ will be crushed even quicker.

Sitting at the countryside of Provins, the Ensign of the Fourth brigade sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Conrad and Daniel de Falstaff, and Olivier Renault - he felt betrayed as he drew his blade against the turncoats - men that he once fought with, broke bread with, his former comrades. He stood up, crumpling the missive; he knew only one thing:

The traitors of the Empire would pay with their life.

"Sad." Commented Sergeant Anastasia O'Rourke. "You think the men who attack Oren would at least know how to use a sword & not get captured."

Captain Ruthern exits the cells where the child was held, "That poor lad, his family didn't even try to rescue him. Left him in the cells while they ran around in their bloodlust."

Alexander d'Arkent would be happy to hear that the child was let go free of harm.

Yuliya Styrne receives the news at the home she shares with her fiancee, Edward Napier. She lets out a long, low sigh as she set the notice down on the dinner table and knits her fingers together.

"Daniel de Falstaff and his wife were the leading roles in my play," she says quite matter-of-factly to Edward. "Our first rehearsal was tomorrow... Off to a rollicking good start, aren't we?"

Lieutenant Colonel William Darkwood would look upon the missive and note to the soldiers near him "My fellow comrades, the traitors have shown their true colors, they are nothing more but barbaric beasts, looking for power, they have no honor to the point of dressing children in armor and sending then out, their simple minds cant penetrate our defenses and their blades have failed to take us down, so let us note this victory and continue onwards!"

"A shame, I called them both brother at one point." Caspian said, looking down at the lifeless body of Daniel. He shook his head before departing outside of the bastion to help explain what had occurred to the growing crowd.

Giselle let's out a huff upon hearing the news. Crossing her arms, the woman's eyebrows pinch down. "A shame his family didn't care... horrible folk, really." Comment's the Rosier to her cousin, Megan.

Hearing of the recent events, Edric muses...

"Surely, the ISA didn't hide behind walls in fear of so-called 'rebels'?"

"It seems those who betray their Empire never fare well. I suppose it is time for me to start my own service," says Sigismund, making his way down to the recruitment center.
