PURPOSE:

 

Established in 27th of Tobias’ Bounty 1823, the IVFB was established by Edwin Henry de Sarkozy in light of recent fires started in the MoJ building and an O’Rourke shop. The Sarkozy family bought Barbara 9 and established it as a headquarters for the IVFB. 

 

From there, the IVFB is to serve as a civilian volunteer Fire Brigade. It’s purpose is to train and outfit the common Imperial to combat fires and take away a little of the stress of the ISA so His Imperial Majesty’s army can focus entirely on the war effort. 

 

The IVFB will hold common and public fire safety drills that any Imperial can partake in for free!

 

Ultimately, the purpose of the IVFB is to make an effective halt to the fire plague of Providence without costing the City a penny in doing so.

OUTFITTING:

 

Golden Fireman Helm

Despite what the name suggests, the helm is not pure gold; but rather made of brass and painted with the Brigade’s colors. This helm protects the Fireman’s head while they enter hazardous conditions.

 

IVFB Mask

Air purifying alchemical masks; these were commissioned by Edwin Henry de Sarkozy to protect the wearer’s lungs in smoke-filled areas. They are also outfitted with some goggles to protect the eyes.

 

Thick IVFB jacket

Just a regular, padded jacket that helps protect the wearer from falling debris. 

 

Fireman Boots

The pride of the Brigade, every fireman loves their shiny black boots! They are padded with steel as to protect the wearer’s feet from heavy objects.

LOCATION

The Front of the I.V.F.B department

 

The department was placed at a strategic position; at the heart of the housing district but in a straight line close enough to the main Square that firemen can be deployed rapidly to assist the city.

 HIERARCHY

 

The IVFB is mostly an informal civilian organization, so it’s hierarchy differs from that of the ISA or MoJ. Simply, there are IVFB trainees and instructors. IVFB instructors would hold fire drills, lead the IVFB in an actual situation; whilst also supplying the trainees with the equipment necessary.
