c.  1826

Earlier this saint month, a group of bandits known as the Rustlers captured an innocent civilian of the Vortice realm, publishing their missive of empty threats towards the Vortice realm to intimidate their denizens. Yet, these bandits did not anticipate the events that would occur next. For far too long had the Rustlers attempted to bandit even His Imperial Majesty's realm, and soon they would meet their demise.

After brief communication with the Vortice government, a squadron of Imperial troopers made haste towards the city of Talon’s, surrounding their fort with Orenian might. A skirmish soon ensued as the Rustlers were caught by surprise, seeking to hide in their fort instead of engaging with Imperial forces. But it made no difference. Quickly led by Lieutenant Olivier de Savoie and Erik Othaman, the Imperial forces squandered the Rustler bandits, saving the Praetor who had been kidnapped. No Imperial lives were lost, and no Rustlers were left. In this aftermath, our Imperial forces quickly secured the Praetor, escorting them safely to the Vortice capital.

To any aggressors of the Domain of Vortice, we tell you this: an attack on innocent denizens of our Orenian allies will be met with our equivalent force. Let today's action show the everlasting Imperial support for our allies.

SIGNED,

His Excellency the Foreign Minister, Viscount of Pruvia-Provins

The former Lord Commander of Elvenesse reads the missive and raises his brows. "The Rustlers attempted to enter their fort rather than face the larger force? Mmm." The elf then folds the missive and places it neatly into a small binder of similar reports from around the realm.

Elsil'Ceru arched a brow as she peered back and forth between the combat report and the piece of blatant Oren propaganda. "These do ne match at all! They never retrieved the prisoner, and my men slaughtered a fair amount of theirs...they also did ne wipe out our entire rally! If they had, then I would ne have been informed of this at all," she pondered aloud from the comforts of Rustler Fort, evidently perplexed. "I wonder who is telling the truth...my men, or those Imperial dogs." Tucking both away, she released a prolongued exhalation. "A true shame Talons requires the Imperial dogs to fight in their stead."

Lug finds this off a wall somewhere. He stares at it as he reads it. "Huh, tey t'ink dei can scare us? Or even stop us? Tats funny." he chuckles "Wae teh show propagandah oren! Woooooooooo! Lets not show dehm all teh losses yet onleh show teh victoriehs." he takes out his knife and slashes an 'R' into the missive. "Weh will onleh come back lateh on, wer ah growin' group. Now, tiome teh seh ef anyone escapehd or ef dis missive tells teh truth." He says before waddling off. Leaving the vandalism where it stood.

A simple chef reads the missive as he cooks a simple dish for himself, reading it over a couple of times before thinking for a moment. Looking to the gates of Elvenesse for a moment before raising a brow, he laughed. "Now where have I heard 'hide behind walls like cowards' before?"

"Let's trust in our allies this won't continue on, aye?  We're on such a good run in Oren's backdoor, we'll have them soon enough."

Moskau would remark from the lonely piece of carpentry in his office, looking over the desk to his comrade yet again.  His hand lifted up the missive and reread it, to be completely sure he hadn't misread it.  His tired eyes slid the missive across the wooden surface, before lifing it onto the pile.  @chacmul

Athri gave the missive a bit of a look... as she was not told about any of this.

After a long night of work, an elf finished his new attire and set it down upon a makeshift table, contemplating his work before looking at the missive and taking a quick read... Yet, upon finishing, he bursts into an hysterical laughter, hand pressed over his stomach as he continued on and on laughing for a few minutes. After he had finally calmed down, he wipes off some tears, a grin over his face and going from ear to ear. "Orenian dogs saving Vortice...? Quite the situation, both ironic and hilarious... Then again, dignity is not something they had to begin with." he briefly spoke to himself before walking out of the tent, a small traveling bag with him before being set at the side of a camel, simply sitting on top of the large animal and wandering off for more materials.
