1832

In the evening of the 17th, Katherine Carrington felt panic. The elderly Carrington rushed into the tavern in hopes to find help, for her body was weak and she felt dangerously weak. Inside the tavern the young Alex Foucault lead her to the hospital where soon the lovely Helena Charlotte Helvets of Rochefort came and held the elderly woman in her arms. She sent the young soldier off to find a priest and comforted the dying Carrington. In her dying moments Katherine was comforted by the priest and Helena, her last words uttered being "I regret so much".

As a young girl most would describe Katherine as wild and uncontained. She was the splitting image of her mother, not being one to be held down. She admired soldiers and as she grew up moved away from tea parties and dresses and instead donned the ISA uniform! She served for a long time and got herself up to the rank of Specialist! While serving in the ISA Katherine also spent most of her days helping Alpha Carrington- following her around like a little lost dog.  They were quite close and eventually Alpha taught Katherine the skill of Illusion Magic! Katherine takes such a talent to the grave with her.

With all her family and ones she was near to passed and gone, Katherine departed rather lonely, her heart aching as she took her last breath, but in her dying thoughts she was excited to once more see all her friends and family who had left the world before her. She was finally free of expectations and loneliness. She was happy.

Beryl Jasper Carrington, the scion of similar relations to the late Katherine would receive news of the younger of his two aunts demise, frowning deeply at the thought "Aunt Alpha, and now Aunt Katherine, how grim to think they've simply disappeared with the wind." The figure remarked to himself, within his office "I wonder if Uncle Grouch is still around.."

From Ebrietaes, a long dead Swint idly continued his unrelenting work, though he took a pause upon somehow hearing of the death. “Unfortunate, though many things in life are...”

"My father met Katherine Carrington in Helena. He always told me that she was an amazing woman full of life, energy and a smile. She will be missed. Rest in peace, my lady."

Sir Charles Galbraith would shrug afterwards and sign the Lorraine cross.

Maisie d'Arkent read over the news, scrunching up her nose. "Another Carrington gone." she'd huff out, recalling Rhea.

Upon hearing of the departure of her daughter, Caestella simply mourned in silence. She knew eventually the day would come where the consequences of  a half-elven child would reach her ears, a departure that was far to early. As the stars flickered above in the night sky, the elfess stepped out towards the edge going to sit down in order to overlook the floating city. Thoughts raced through her mind endlessly as one emotion remained clear at the forefront of all the thoughts spinning around, regret. Perhaps if she had been around more things would have been different, perhaps if she was a better mother, wife, friend, it could have made Katherine's life better, at least one which was happier. "Another life..."She thought to herself, another life which she would see Katherine and ensure that this time, she did not make so many mistakes, that she did not have to lose her time and time again; however this being the only time that was not in her control.

Somewhere the timid cries of aged wood croaked in its decaying state, softly releasing its melody of anguish, akin to the shallow ache she tolerate. Her location was far from the deceased Carrington's own, yet eventually far into the future she was made aware, and such knowledge destroyed her. In a flourish of rose-hued pastels and gentle lace she crouched before a maroon wooden box, prying it open via soft click of its golden clasp, peering to the contents within. An assortment of trinkets rest in the graveyard of memories. The pale digits soared through mountains of paintings, jewelry, jars, and more -- searching through what seemed an endless amount of time -- digging across useless documents and cherished regalia. Slowly she scoffed out a broken sob, backside of her palm pressing upright to her eyes, trembling some. "Katherine." She spoke, plucking up a small bokolo feather bound to a small golden disc via twine from the confines. A gift never granted. An undelivered treasure brought into this world nearly a week after Katherine, now forever forgotten and unknown to most, and beside it the small aureate charm. With a sense of urgency and a head hung low the weeping elfess stare to the insignia on its spine, mouth unhinged with animalistic mewl. Her voice sworn to be raw in the morn. The etching was simple; 'V&K'.
