The Dark Lotus [A Wedding]

You are hereby invited to the wedding of Chen Wenping and ‘Naerth’ Twilight 

 

 

As the sun set over the Jade State of Yong Ping, the city was bustling with preparations for the impending festivities. The union of Chen Wenping, soon-to-be Patriarch of the Chen household and Minister of Justice, and Naerth Twilight, the Helpful Secretariat, called for a joyous celebration. 

 

Parade

The long-awaited and auspicious wedding will first begin with a parade as is traditional. The bride will be met at the Chen household, where she’d be escorted into a palanquin and taken to the temple amidst great fanfare.

 

 

Ceremony

When the palanquin arrives at the temple, the bride will be escorted out and into the temple where a monk will begin the ceremony. Respect is offered to the parents, before a cup of wine is shared and the ceremony concludes.

 

 

 

Catering and Performance

With the conclusion of the wedding, the festivities will continue to the Tianrui teahouse where those will be invited to partake in a variety of food and drinks, alongside various entertainment organized for the prosperous event.

 

Invitations were extended to all of Almaris, with a handful of distinguished invitations.

Chen Linli looked at the invitation with her mother, and could hardly contain her excitement. She wrapped her little arms around her mother, bouncing up and down. She kissed her hand, placing it on the invitation, counting down the days until the wedding. 

 

This was difficult, as she kept forgetting what numbers came after seven...

A particular 'ker adorned in red would hear of this wedding.. a look of surprise settling over her face. She would carefully set the missive down as she accepted such, smiling and wishing she could congratulate the bride "I believe I have a wedding to attend."

After viewing the invitation, a certain brewer of tea would pour over it again. The lass only setting the missive upon her table after having run through it a total of five times. “It’s about time.” She’d state to herself, before rising so as to prepare her... “special” gifts..

Chen Yunya smiled tentatively, gaze panning over the invite she'd helped the bride to create in the first place. "Wenping-shushu will be getting married soon! We need to get a good gift for him and Twilight-meimei both." She hummed out, though dread filled her at the thought of their parents coming down.

Chen Wenqian Was clearly annoyed at the fact this marriage was not due to her pristine skills in matchmaking and romance. Nevertheless; she was proud of Wenping. He was clearly the favorite, due to the fact of her other grandchildren's failed romances. "I shall prepare the rings. They'd never dare, not let me prepare the rings."
