Dearest reader, in light of troublesome times and hardship, we've heard of. We seek to formally invite you to the Vortician Knox-o-ween Party!

There will be music, refreshments, apple bobbing, a costume contest and even pumpkin carving. Both of the latter two will have prizes! 


How apple bobbing works

Apple bobbing is a roll based “sport”
Players will roll out of 20 and rply you have 30 seconds to get as many apples as you can. The reward is that you keep your apples and get bragging rights

1-2 You get water up your nose, missing the coveted apple completely
3-5 You miss the apple though are fine and only have a somewhat wet face
6-10 You are able to grab the apple, though it slips from your teeth at the last moment
11-13 You get that nice crisp apple! Congrats
12-15 You try for a second one, though are unable to attain it
16-19 You get that second apple
20 You get a third apple in the nick of time

How the pumpkin carving contest will work

The contest will start at 2pm est unless stated otherwise

Each person participating will get half an hour to work on their pumpkin. Everyone will get a set of pumpkin carving knives, two different scoops, a tea light candle, and one item of choice that an overseer must approve of  before the competition’s start.

You will be given a pumpkin (MC Skin)  to “carve” and an OOC half hour to complete. Once the half hour is up you will send in what you’ve done via the discord chat that will be set up on that day. From there our team of judges will pick winners based on  your creation.

OOC Note: If you aren’t in the Vortice discord, please ask for a link and one will be granted to you. It’s done this way so that we can make sure nothing fishy is going on with links (not that I think anything fishy will actually happen. Though rather be safe than sorry) and that everyone has the same amount of time
 

How the costume contest will work

Show up in your best costume, there isn’t a theme so get creative! What do you think would be the best look you can come up with?

The contest will be taking place for the whole time the party is going on and the winners will be announced sometime after the pumpkin carving contest concludes! We wish you the best of luck
