The Reform of Oren

I fully support this idea because this way the matters that will be decided will be viewed from all prospective. A royal family inevitably ends up developing tunnel-vision. A council would be much more fair and effective.

The Royal Family Can fail, Whilst a council can unite each and every single one of you will stand united against any threat that is to come to Oren here for all time!

Dawn is a cook, not a leader.

Felix can barely lead the army let alone the kingdom.

Saint Daniel is the architect of the kingdom and has a long history as a leader and commander.

I don't know the other candidates so I can't judge them.

So my first choice would be Saint Daniel but my second choice would be a council.

This council idea is the best around, having them as ministers is the best choice, I hope King Enor pick this as his goverment

Just fyi, im not dead, i was on a trip. I am now king.

no offence to you, i don't want to insult the possible future king, but the Sheffields, and infact all out royal kings have let us down or got lazy and left.

if we put our trust in one man, as king then its allows the gm's to manipulate our country through him, just as they did with redninja. a council is not one man, it is many and would ensure we are able to do what is best for the country, there would be no selfish king. we wouldn't be slaves to a ruler who proclaimed himself in charge and hides behind a sword with a hangman's noose behind him to remind people to do as he says.

a council would give the people the power they have deserved, in the battle last night the people won the fight, Enor didn't fight, perea didn't fight. the people won the battle, so the people should rule the nation.

many brave men fought and died in the that battle, they fought for freedom, no so they can be a slave to yet another king.

following rp, nations of that time typically when the had bad kings, or emperor's or whatever would form either a parliament or a republic, the Romans did it, and look how powerful they became, the Greeks invented democracy thousands of years ago.

a nation should be ruled by its people, the future carved to their wishes, not those of a rich powerful king who sits on a throne and claims divine right.

there are many many people that live in Oren, it is the largest nation in the ageis, its citizens our wise, a republic would serve the wishes of the people and would be run by the people, they're voice is heard, no matter if they are a lord or a lowly beggar. the council members get a fixed salary, they wouldn't say no to an idea because it would take away too much money that they could spend on themselves, the council would carry out the wishes of the people, not the gm's, Oren would be able to shape its own future

if for no other reason it would be interesting to see how well the republic would work, it is getting boring having all these kings come and go, ruling in the same manner.

lets see if the council will work, who knows maybe Oren will increase its power 1000 times, who knows, the whole point of rp is non planned events, its up to us to invent the future.

(Not sure if OOC or in character...)

(Anyway, going on now. You cannot down someone for not being on 24/7, I mean.. Some of these plans are when people are away and I'd never say THIS PERSON DIDN'T SHOW UP IN BATTLE, THEY ARE HIDING.. When they were naturally enjoying life.

Also Enor isn't a GM, and sure he talks to the GMs, but in no way are they controlling his actions. I say give him time.. See how it does and just not completely ignore what he has done for our nation, just so you can have a seat in the council.)

i neither want nor will ask for a seat on the throne, i have a job in Oren which i believe to be more effective, and more worth while than any politician.

and i never said that a king not being on 24/7 is his fault, i understand that people have other lives to lead, i am not on anywhere near 24/7, one benefit of a council is that there is more likely to be someone with power on at any one time.

what i meant by gm's controlling and so is, if enor was killed the nation would fall into chaos. the king could do what he wanted, just because he has 'king' in front of his name doesn't mean he is right, a republic would have 12 people to discus what is right, plus the entire population of Oren, and if the people want something, then they're decisions cant be wrong.

Enor isnt a gm, but if the gm's asked him to do something for rp, my bet is he would, also he has a gm app on the forums atm, who knows the future of that.

many people want dawn, Gauis, dangerdan, now Perea again. if there is such split desions about the ruler, who should it be?

if Oren became a Republic it is very likely that most if not all these people would have a seat on the council in their area of expertise. i may be wrong but i would think (correct me if im wrong, and this is just a guess and sudgestion)

dawn- patron

dan- artisan

felix- sword

giaus- sheild

Perea- magnate perhaps

this way, we would have the person best suited for the job, specializing in that job, all these people have thier strengths and weaknesses, why not use their strengths, and let their weaknesses be covered by the person who's strength that is

It's amazing to me how you bicker about the next leader while Oren is honestly about to crumble to the ground in the most literal sense possible. how about building defenses an army and winning a war as a democracy and then start arguing.
