_RoyalCrafter_ 3302 Share Posted June 16, 2023 [!] Portrait of Garedyn The Green THE GRAND LEGION OF URGUAN DA ARKAMMAR KATHAIK’OS ERON URGUAN With the fall of Kal’Drakaan, our Legionnaires did not have enough time to train since their reformation. I thank all citizens who put their lives on the line for the safety of the realm, and to ensure such a situation cannot happen again, military training needs to be improved for all of the citizenry. All citizens need to be experienced in some form of defence, so that the kingdom may have a plentiful reserve of capable fighters. Dwarves who ascend the ranks of the Legion and contribute to the kingdom must be rewarded by the Kingdom, such as tax cuts and improved equipment. The Grand Navy has floundered on its own in recent decades, thus to reduce needless splitting of forces, the navy must be integrated formally as a sect within the Legion, while still retaining its purpose and function. The Order of the Reforged has proven itself to be a valuable defensive force, thus I wish to have them cooperate with the legion as the Kingdom’s local defence force to uphold justice. YEMEKAR’S WORKFORCE YEMEKAR VOL’TIRARUMMAR The Industry of Urguan must be revitalised for the new age. Reforms have already been set in place for Yemekar’s Workforce, but further reforms are needed to ensure a consistent standard of operation between the various guilds of Urguan. Thus, all guilds should form part of the Workforce, and be subject to the Crown’s and Yemekar’s pick evaluation. This is to avoid the creation of unnecessary guilds that are left abandoned and to rot, and to ensure the swift removal of needless bureaucratic systems involved in the appointment of guild lords. Similarly to the reforms above, active and key members within the workforce shall be rewarded with recognition by the kingdom, as well as monetary and social benefits, such as reduced tax and commemorations. AGRICULTURE VORN’NOLVAR The dwarven people have always struggled with agriculture. But in these times this struggle is more dire than ever, the little farms we have are unable to support our population and we are one failed harvest away from a disaster. We greatly lack livestock to produce goods such as meat for consumption, and leather for armour which is a severe weak point which hinders us in the global economy as well. Thus more farms must be built and an intense leather-producing industry must be established to help Urguan shore up its defensive capabilities. MINING MUGDOR’GERON While our mines contain ores such as emerald and diamond, so do those of all other nations. However, what others have are plentiful supplies of iron. Our industry has faltered and the kingdom is experiencing a great shortage of necessary metals. Thus as King, it would be my imperative to organise mining runs and appoint people to gather ore to fill the kingdom’s stocks. GORD’MAR FACILITIES The kingdom has a great lack of necessary facilities such as merchant shops and stalls, with there being only 4 shops. This has resulted in a lack of business-making opportunities for dwarves which puts further strain on the economy, as well as giving fewer reasons for foreigners to visit and spend money within our kingdom. As Grand King, I will expand the necessary infrastructure to help trade flourish within the city. THE COUNCIL OF HONOUR DA NOZKRON ERON ANART In recent times, The Grand Kingdom of Urguan and its citizens suffered through ineffectual changes within its system of government. From the Grand Senate to Council, all of these systems are fundamentally the same, improving nothing, tweaking only unimportant minutiae. These systems were created to promote activity within the clans and to encourage them to have active dwarves so that the clan may sit upon decision-making. However, a fatal flaw in this is how a clan’s activity is measured. A simple tickbox marking the time a dwarf spent in the kingdom is not enough and is detrimental to progress as it does not encourage any participation within the kingdom. It will be my goal as Grand King, to establish a new system, which is not a simple name change from the bodies of the past. But a revitalisation of our government will see to promote the clans whose members actually contribute to the kingdom, whether through legion, workforce or other, rather than a simple and rudimentary check of time. THE CHAIN OF STONE DA KHOTA ERON BOKK The Chain of Stone is composed of a group of dwarves tasked with creating events, promoting culture and general managerial duties. Khronrik | Iron Baron - The Iron Baron must act as the event organiser/mayor for the city. They are given the authority, similarly to Yemekar’s Pick, to dismiss and appoint members of the Chain of Stone in order to promote activity within the city. And the Crown has his authority over the council as well. Guzind’in | Bartender - The lifeblood of dwarven revelry, bartenders are meant to promote feasts and drinking at taverns. It is a position of great respect and admiration, and dwarves should strive to be a bartender at least once in their lives. Kronosund’in | Legendkeeper – The grand archivist and scribe of the kingdom, responsible for researching dwarven lore, and transcribing important documents. Azwazzock | Great Fool - A jester, meant to lighten the mood of any given situation, attend feasts and gather per request and perform tricks, songs and dance for the audience. Rikkinokri | Lord Crafstman - A dwarf tasked with the creation of magical items, artefacts, restoration and research of relics and golemancy. ARANGR’MAR ERON FYLGI SEASONS OF FESTIVITY Our current kingdom does no effort to promote the dwarven culture. There are no statues of famous heroes, no relics on display, and most importantly THERE ARE NO FEASTS. It is an imperative part of our society, and we must organise a system to properly promote our culture: SEASON OF ANCESTORS: This stone month is dedicated to clans hosting feasts and events in honour of paragons and honoured members of their clans. SEASON OF HOLINESS: This stone month is dedicated to the individual sects and clans’ different beliefs in the Brathmordakin. They demonstrate traditional rituals to venerate the Brathmordakin. SEASON OF BLOOD: This stone month is dedicated to the relationships between dwarves and clans. It is in this season in which the tournament for the Grand Champion is to be held, as well a series of contests of sport between clans. ArmouredSkelly 6 Share Posted June 17, 2023 Having been interrupted from her stroll, Ash Paleheart stares at a poster while repeatedly flipping a coin. "Hmm, there's always a choice to make," she says as she catches the coin in her hand before peeking at it. "I think it's obvious, you'll do great friend," the elf smiles as she continues on her stroll and coin flipping.
