"Okay." Otto shrugged, seemingly unimpressed.

Tristand Dresnay's eyes burned with a mixture of sadness and seething anger as he recited the words, "Blood for blood." The deep sense of sorrow for his brother's untimely death was now intertwined with an unwavering desire for vengeance.

After Vespers prayers, Villorik spared a moment to eye the latest Stassion declaration.

When he saw it was still not a declaration of war, he gave it not a moment longer.

From within his home in Fredericksburg, Henri Frederic said a solemn prayer for the murdered Louis Dresnay. Admittedly, he had only been a distant acquaintance of Louis, though he had heard many great things of him from the townsfolk and held high expectations for his future within Stassion. Thus it had come as quite a surprise to the Lieutenant, that when he'd next heard of the young Louis, it was of his demise at the hand of the Haeseni King. And so did the de Falstaff scion pray; he prayed to GOD for salvation of Louis' soul and for the condemnation of those who had so ruthlessly taken his life.

"The poor boy, poor teenager, but a man too when et suits the public notices. Was he niet already a man, nearly in his twenties? Or so ea've heard wailed. Unless Stassion boys only reach their majority in their thirties, ea think et a rather poor tale to spin. The Haeseni is a man at eighteen, and his actions are his own. Et must niet be the same in the Heartlands." The Duke of Vidaus rolled his eyes slightly as he regarded the parchment, before placing it aside for later. He presumed he must be right, since they lamented that fool as a child so.

Willem studied the missive with a growing frown. “They called him a man at first, I certainly wasn’t playing with toys at his age. Now they call him a child. I wonder what the Stassions will turn this poor fellow into next.”

He sighed, setting the missive down. “All this bickering… and for what? Staining his memory with the blood of more innocents will fix nothing.”

The barkeep awkwardly nodded along, unsure why this man was rambling to him.

"Men are evermore serpents than we are, when it means that meaning itself must change, warp and dance to their ever changing tunes. In this way, they are all liars." Mused the Azdrazi from between his books.
