Narthok 9213 Popular Post Share Posted February 1 14th of the Snow’s Maiden, 1962 THE MIND OF GROMMASH Despite the involvement of the Horde in the Huwagh of the Midlands, the Horde is more populous and cohesive than it has been in centuries. Conflicts between clans are generally non-existent. Those that do exist are resolved through formal ritual. However, the new Horde has seen a marked absence of some of its elder wargoths, leading to a flood of young Urukhim who find themselves without a clan. In addition to matters within Orcgrimmar proper, there are also new developments within the broader Hordelands. The Hordespeaker has always been very clear that the desert belongs to the Horde and that all who live within it must do so with the permission of the Rex, due to the land’s strong ties to the spirits. It is not a situation of power, but rather a sacred land to all practicing shamans. However, the war in the midlands has led to a flood of refugees and new settlements establishing themselves within the desert. This has raised a problem for the Horde. To watch as what is sacred to the Urukhim be so nonchalantly squatted on, the land pillaged and disrespected, is an insult to the very spirits. To live in unity means to live in peaceful co-existence, with those who dwell within the Desert. While failing to even share meat and drink in acknowledgement of the position of the Urukhim is a grave insult, there are also those who would exploit the oases and thin the herds that roam the dunes. While the Horde has grown strong, the Horde must adapt to the changing world. Our lands are flooded with foreigners who do not offer respect. In the face of this rising tide of threats and challenges, the Horde must be prepared for change, while tackling those who refuse even an ounce of respect. The Hordespeaker publicly lays out the following goals for the Horde: ⇀Peace and stability in the desert. For new settlers to share a meal with the Rex in a display of respect for the sacred lands, and willingness to contribute to the advancements of the region. For those who refuse to share meat and drink while invading the Hordelands shall be known as disrespectful enemies. ⇀The fortification of the desert to protect not just the Urukhim but all of the desert peoples who call the Horde their home from the foreigners who seek to steal our lands, despoil our oases and oppress us. ⇀The unification of all peoples of the desert into a great union of the sands with a proper council of chieftains. The union shall be established in order to collectively address threats to all of our peoples, with each tribe capable of electing their own chieftain(s) to represent their people. THE HANDS OF THE REX In light of the rapid expansion of the Horde, the influx of many new clans, tribes, and peoples into the Hordelands, and their subsequent alignment with the Horde proper, as well as those who invade and attempt to steal our lands, it is necessary for the leadership of the Horde to change accordingly. The Hordespeaker henceforth establishes the Hands of the Rex. The affairs of the Horde shall be divided into the Right Hand, the left hand, and the independents. The Right Hand, led by the Dominus of the Horde, shall henceforth manage all internal affairs of the Horde. The Left Hand, led by the Vizier of the Horde, shall henceforth manage all external affairs of the Horde. The Motsham & Keshigoth shall remain independent of the Right and the Left Hand. The Dominus, the Vizier, the Motsham, and the Keshigoth will all answer directly and personally to the Rex concerning the matters that have been delegated to them. Furthermore, by the will of the Hordespeaker, the ranks of the Rex Council, the Goth Council, and the Lodgemasters will no longer be limited to the Urukhim alone. Non-Urukhim may now seek a seat on the Rex Council or the Mastership of one of the Horde’s Lodges. The Horde understands a Non-Urukhim as any who are not children of Krug by way of blood or by way of adoption through the honourary trials. Rex - Grommash After succeeding the Ologarch, Grommash has implemented many reforms and changes to the Horde. Many attribute the current state of the Horde to his leadership. Senior members of the Horde, such as Minto’Lur and Azfrai’Lur, have called the Horde the ‘New Horde’ to signify the beginning of a new era. Some know him as the ‘Uniter’ for his feat in unifying all the tribes and bringing all of the Urukhim into one settlement. Others know him as the ‘Red Hand’ due to his habit of signing all of his letters and pronouncements with a bloody handprint rather than the script favoured by others. His critics generally accuse him of keeping the Horde into the Huwagh of the midlands for far longer than necessary to satisfy Honour's demands. Others have criticized him for excessive and unneeded reform. Grommash has been expanding the Horde government, dividing the responsibilities of the Rex amongst the Goths and Chieftains, and has been pursuing a policy of diplomacy and friendship rather than isolation and aggressive tributing. He has, however, been uncompromising on the Orcish claim to dominion of the southern desert. The Right Hand of the Horde, governed by the Dominus, shall henceforth attend to all internal matters of the Horde. All Goths and Lodgemasters dealing with internal matters of the Horde are now subject to the supervision of the Dominus. The Right hand will ensure that the Horde is internally stable and prosperous. The Right Hand will see to the functioning of the Orconomy, the resolution of internal disputes, and the selection of Lodgemasters. Dominus - Minto’Lur Despite being born a halfling, Minto stands as one of the most authoritative figures in the New Horde. Minto earned the respect of the Horde for his leadership of the Orconomy reforms that enabled the fledgling horde to sustain a war production that would have otherwise been far beyond his means. His immaculate management of the Horde logistics, including the Horde miners and smiths, has enabled the Horde to punch far above its weight. With the resignation of Kho’Gorkil from the position of Dominus, Minto was raised to the role of Dominus by the Rex’s appointment. He is now charged with managing the internal affairs of the Horde, both in Orcgrimmar and in the broader Hordelands. Yazgurtan - [Unfilled] Krimpgoth - Drus With the revival of the Krimpgoth role, the well-travelled keeper of Urukhim culture has volunteered for Krimpgoth. Drus will be expected to teach the many Nurukhim the ways of the Horde and to lead the charge in the hunting and executing of the many whitewashed Uruks who live outside the Hordelands. Rukagoth - Ghan-Buri With the promotion of Minto’Lur to Dominus, a new master of the Orconomy had to be found. Grommash offered the position to one of his most loyal Urukhim. Ghan-Buri has long been one of the hardest workers of the horde, doing the thankless task of mining and shepherding the herds of the Horde to ensure that the warriors are well equipped for battle and that the builders, under the watchful eye of the Yazgurtan, have sufficient materials to construct Horde fortifications. The Left hand of the Horde, governed by the Vizier, shall henceforth attend to all external matters of the Horde. All Goths dealing with external matters are now subject to the supervision of the Vizier. The Left Hand shall ensure that the Horde is secure from foreign threats, whether by diplomacy or military prowess. Vizier - Kezmur’Vinteki Kezmur brought his massive horde of wild Urukhim to the Horde at the beginning of Grommash’s reign as Rex. He and his warriors have repeatedly proven themselves unrivalled fighters throughout the Hugwagh of the Midlands. The majority of the Keshig and many of the Rex council trace their roots back to the ranks of the Vinteki Urukhim. Kezmur has proven himself wise in the eyes of the Horde, giving sage advice on martial and diplomatic matters. Grommash created a new role within the Rex council, the role of Vizier, direct senior advisor to the Rex. Much like the Dominus, the Vizier is empowered to speak with the voice of the Rex in the absence of the Rex. If the Dominus is the right hand of the Rex, then the Vizier is the left hand of the Rex. The Vizier will be charged with the external rather than the internal affairs of the horde. The Vizier will ensure that foreign alliances are formed and maintained and will speak to foreign nations regarding the position of the Horde on important matters. As the Huwagh approaches its end, the Horde seeks to offer its warriors the service of others for a price. Those prices and contracts will be negotiated by Kezmur. Targoth - Gazdul’Vinteki After defeating the famous Crimson Death Apek’Gorkil in single combat, Gazdul’Vinteki assumed the role of Targoth. The Rex has charged him with reforming the Krughai and overseeing the completion of the new Horde fortresses. The new Orcish warlord has yet to select his elite war bosses to help him lead the Krughai. Much is expected of him. Master of Whispers - [Redacted] RedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedactedRedacted Motsham - Madoc’Lur Madoc’Lur has proven himself an able and moderate governor of the Shamanistic matters of the Urukhim. Presiding over the various Shamklamors of the Horde, Madoc’, assisted by Grothzark' Dom, has begun to solidify the role of the Spirit Lodge in both the Horde and broader spirit affairs. Empowered by the Rex, the Spirit Lodge and, by extension, its head incarnate in Madoc have begun to preside over buurz trials and conduct investigations into buurz lairs and whitewashes. Keshigoth - Apek’Gorkil The widely feared Crimson Death of the midlands, Apek made his name in the early days of the War of Ten by burning and pillaging the cattle barns of the human realms in an attempt to damage their ability to produce arms and armour. Widely considered to be one of the greatest duelists ever produced by the Horde, Apek has only lost to Gazdul’Vinteki. After a lengthy time as Targoth, Apek was defeated by the challenge of Gazduk. Recognizing his talent for warfare Grommash has appointed Apek to lead the Keshig. From now on, Apek and the Keshig will undertake the most dangerous of missions for the Rex and ensure he is safe from all assassins and danger. In accordance with the will of the Rex, the Goths and Chieftains of the Hordelands shall be given greater influence over the affairs of the Horde. The leaders of Urukhim clans and the leaders of Non-Urukhim Horde settlements and tribes shall be given seats on the Goth Council, where they will be entitled to vote on Horde matters. Any member of the Goth Council may introduce a matter to the Goth Council to be voted upon. Votes must be passed by a majority. The Rex reserves a veto over all Goth Council votes. While the beating heart of the Horde and the Desert is the Urukhim settlement of Orcgrimmar, there are members of the Horde who are not Urukhim and who do not dwell in Orcgrimmar. The Horde is more than its largest part; with this in mind, understanding that all people of the sands will eventually lend their voice to the council, the Goth Council is created and formally empowered. The following Goths and Chieftains are those recognized by The Hordespeaker as having seats on the Goth Council. Those seeking new seats must have their seats approved by the Goth Council. New Horde settlements will stand as an exception and will automatically receive a seat in the Goth Council. Sub-clans of Horde settlements may seek a seat on the Goth Council if they wish. Lodges are formed by Horde members of common interest coming together to establish an industry within the Horde. New Lodges can be established. The Hordespeaker and giver of water summoned his Rukagoth and Rukas to the Rex rock, if they were to visit their desert neighbours then the feasting must involve the choicest calves and lambs of the Orcished herds nourished by the oasis.
