To the esteemed leaders of Númenedil, it is good to write to those we have considered brethren in these unruly years. We have heard much of your issues regarding the voidalites, and the horror, and seek to offer our aid and support towards you in regards to this. Our men crave battle, verily, we seek to crack open the skulls of those wretches that seek to harm our friends. Know what we say next is not done to gap the bridge in the relationship that we have so sought to build with your people, who have been welcoming to us.

 

Sadly, we do not write this missive out of only a requirement to aid. Amongst your dynasty, there is a guard that has insulted the honor of Sólgaard. To this end, we have sought the blessing of both our HIGH KEEPER and of TAR-CARANETH.  Both have provided this blessing. He has time and time again, provoked conflict with our POWERFUL THEGN, KONAN, for no reason but to cause strife. At first, we saw this display as the firm nature of a pious, law-abiding man, who cared for his nation. Yet, this cur, he has deigned to insult our people, and to call upon our great Thegn as a rodent, belittling him behind our ears. Indeed, this villain has attempted to kill our brothers, for no purpose. His serpentine eyes leer at us whenever we walk into your city, looking to taunt us into conflict.

 

We call out Belegorn, guard of our númenedain comrades, to a HOLMGANG to settle this dispute. This challenge for battle is beckoned to you now. You have ridiculed our people for no reason after we offered the branch of friendship. You taint the image of your esteemed retinue by abusing your power as a guardsmen - we have seen how drunk you are on the drug of your legislation. Let us show you the strength of the norn, and that your tongue-dancing words are not worthy of a warrior’s heart. You do not have the blood of a lion; you are bleating sheep that cannot back your vitriol against us. Fight our MIGHTY THEGN, be it to exhaustion, or death, so that your lips may be sealed.

 

Know that we understand you have been unfortunate enough to be struck with injuries. For that reason, we shall wait for you to heal from your ailments and become fit and ready; us norn do not take pleasure in bullying the weak.
