CheekyNolan 5420 Popular Post Share Posted May 23, 2024 Spoiler @MadOne @Xarkly A MIRACLE IN NEW VALDEV OUTSIDE THE BASILICA OF SAINT JOREN & THE BROKEN CHAINS 8th of Horen’s Welcome, 1978 Imperial | 8th of Jula ag Piov, 531 E.S. “Queen Amaya of our most reverent Faith, who's holy blood, martyr's blood, calls out for justice and sanctifies the world on which it had spilt for that God had so loved her” HIGH PONTIFF CAIUS I, THE CONCORD FOR QUEEN AMAYA As witnessed by Yuri Ostrov and many other Haeseni residents. This open letter to His Holiness and His Curia is sent with all due reverence and may the blessings of divine grace continue to be bestowed by Godan on His Holy Church. I believe an act I can only describe as without explanation other than by the will of Godan and divine intercession should be brought to your attention but requires an explanation first. I, Yuri Ostrov, was the one who, on the orders of King Ivan, took the killer up onto the gallows and hung her until she was dead. The killer was the cold-blooded murderer of the late venerable Queen of Haense, Amaya of Venzia. I do not regret my role in the execution for I believe it to be wholly just but I cannot deny that the late Queen was an advocate of mercy even to the extreme I would say. More pious and forgiving than any I have had the pleasure of meeting. On the next Saint’s morning after the execution, the gallows had inexplicably sprouted with red flowers. Having grown in the dead of night and bloomed with the most vibrant red roses I have ever seen through cracks of wood and stone, I cannot fathom any other cause for this than the intercession of one from the Skies. For the Church’s benefit I shall include the date when the flowers were first noticed and the date when they wilted suddenly and disappeared: 6th of the Grand Harvest, 1977 | 6th of Gronna ag Droba, 530 E.S. to 12th of the Snow’s Maiden, 1978 | 12th of Wzuvar ag Byvca, 531 E.S. The bewildering event began in the middle of summer and the plants did not vanish until after the deepest part of winter. It is not my place to interpret the will of the Creator nor can I guess which sky each person has ascended to but I feel I must point out the obvious connection. The spot where the fiendish murderer of the merciful and pure Queen Amaya was executed saw roses shoot out of any hole they could. For this reason I have decided it best to submit Your Holiness and the rest of Canondom the facts as you will know more than I on the nature of Godan and His Saints. Should it be verified as a genuine miracle I would petition that it be attributed to venerable Queen Amaya. “And verily the virtuous dead are worthy of our regard, for from them we may claim precious wisdom.” THE SCROLL OF SPIRIT, 5:4 Signed by Firr Yuri Ostrov, Tavernkeep of the Tispy Tarchar Tavern & Inn and Sergeant in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl

winterblood 11181 Share Posted May 23, 2024 Rezalisa clutches the cross of Saint Emma as she heard of this missive, the very cross that the Late-Queen Amaya had bestowed upon her as a child; and the very cross to have successfully banished a wicked geist that sought to take the life of The White Flame's most devoted soul, the Patriarch of Jorenus; Villorik. Perhaps there is more miracles to be found in the world by the virtue of The People's Queen.
Ramon 5186 Share Posted May 23, 2024 "The late Queen Amaya was certainly among the most pious exemplars of faith of our current age,"Mused John of Aaun upon having glanced over the missive. Setting aside some time to light a candle in her memory."It would be no surprise to me were she in the company of the Saints. Her martyr's death already warrants beatification alone."
prophetisms 982 Share Posted May 23, 2024 Mahaut sat quietly, tucked away in her favorite hiding spot as she read over the missive. Although she was too young to grasp the ardent hatred against the she-devil, who took Amaya’s life, she was not too young to remember its effects. The cries of patriotic soldiers on and surrounding the gallows, to the sharp snapping of the she-devil’s neck. It was a haunting sound at least, as Verena would never let the Leuven see it. Fear would’ve followed Mahaut every time she looked to the gallows since that day, had it not been for the blooming and beautiful roses that made their stand. They offered Mahaut the same solace that Amaya did in life. If this is truly work done by Amaya’s venerated hands, perhaps, it would be another reason for Mahaut to love roses.

sprtn 3341 Share Posted May 23, 2024 "No devil or darkspawn truly dies in our world. They always find a way back to the mortal plane. Yet they continue to kill." "Bloodshed solves nothing, only fueling the cycle of hatred for generations to come. Cleansing of the mind and soul is the only way to stop this evil- but they don't seem to get it. Yet."Vahlok quietly spoke to himself atop a plateau donning a bright red monastery."Is this what you wanted, Villorik?"
Frawlic 1602 Share Posted May 23, 2024 Amari dug through her storage, withdrawing a chest piece that had once belonged to the venerated Amaya. Her fingers tracing the new nicks, dents, and scratches which she had contributed to on the armor. There were more times than she could count where the thing had scarcely saved her life, due to it being well-made or simple miracles. Though she mostly believed the latter. The People's Queen always had a way with watching over those around her. Always pointing out, or in this case, leaving signs.
Cheese 8899 Share Posted May 23, 2024 Esfir clutched her ruby necklace, gifted to her by her own Grandmother and Queen. Its gems were as red as the flowers that had miraculously bloomed. "She deserves all the recognition in the world... She's as much ein Saint as they get." Still, despite Amaya's supposed mercy, there was still a churning in Esfir's stomach. Something angry, nauseous, and vengeful.
Dramatude 861 Share Posted May 24, 2024 Adelina sat on the edge of her bed, reading over the open letter. A single tear would roll down her cheek as she fiddled with the angel necklace handing from her neck - a gift from the late queen. Nothing but joy and admiration filled her heart as she reminisced on the times spent with her Queen-Friend. "Firr Yuri es correct - this es an obvious connection. Queen Amaya continues to bless our kingdom! Forever will she receive my gratitude."
