Opening Lament

"And so it is of our own doing, for our hand was not forced. And yet our hearts ache, for we know them to be ever led astray. They reject the Dark, for they have been taught to do so by their fathers and their fathers before them. But they do not see that all Descendants are of the Dark and not the Light. They have grown to despise the Dark, but with it have also come to hate themselves, and deep within their hearts they know this to be true, and so they have come to try to fill that void within themselves with Light and mortal desires."

Koyo-Kuni Raiding

And so we perpetuate the animosity between ourselves and the Descendants.

In light of continuous strife between the Shogunate of Koyo-Kuni and the Sixth Synod, exemplified by the theft of one of our relics and the public boasting about destroying our Tear, the Synod has carried out a successful raid on the Koyo-Kuni capital. Though easily regarded as an unprovoked attack, this raid is but a tangible repercussion of the conflict they have brought to our doorstep many moons ago. This operation was a direct result of the familiar sight of enemy scouts outside our walls, which were traced back to the Shogunate.

Our felicitations with the successful employment of Grub Bucket advertisement methods to propagate war and mislead Descendants. May you embrace the role of victim, Shugo, and be perceived only as such through the claims in your propaganda. It goes without saying that our raids do not seek the harm of the innocent, but Templars whom are Maleficar (for the layman: servants of Immortals whom are used to fight a proxy war in our realm to strengthen their patron in exchange for their boons) that have raided our lands numerous times. Be my guest to deny this.

We admit we have never heard of peasants and farmers wearing expensive armor, having explosives on their person, and wielding the magical arts of the monks... Truly unworthy adversaries then, in your own words, for the Sixth Synod. We will be careful to put your people under more scrutiny, as not to face those deemed harmless peasants

Declaration of War

Your declaration of war has been duly noted, we wish you nothing but bad fortune and total failure. Still, even in total victory and the razing of Lumbridge will you find naught but ash and blood. We hope your eyes will open, not as to your own cause nor ours, but in regards to Raguel who will serve as the textbook example of an Immortal (or imposter, because we know almost nothing about them) meddling with the Mortal Realm. Look back, and see that through you, he has set the world on fire already. How unfortunate that the disunity which Aeriel and her ilk sought to exploit has merely been replaced by whatever alternative you offer Mankind.

So mote it be.

"Shut up! No-one cares!" The Schnoz, risen on the third day of the Mystic raid prepares for Hyperwar, his nose as sharp as his blade.

"Barrowlord. You have never heard of the Oyashimen's utmost pride. Even in the paesant, strength lingers, always ready to face off with mere steel and will, no materials or magic. However, their true warriors dwell, ready to act. Now you have provoked them, and they will know no respite. No mercy."

The Oyashiman necromancer commented, her people hearing her thoughtful words. Some questioned why she was helping mortals rather than killing them. Thus, she eyed them with an angered glee in her visage. She stomped on the floor of her lair and pressed this missive against the wall. Screaming out loud.

"I MAY BE A EVILDOER LUNATIC BUT I'M AN OYASHIMAN EVILDOER LUNATIC! FOR HEITH-HEDRAN'S SAKE!"

Kosuke begins planning the circumvallation he desperately wants to erect around Lumbridge, as when faced in direct combat the Mystics are known to employ techniques one might call unnatural, even in the realm of magic. Thus, perhaps building a wall and making the xionists pay for it would be best.

"Perhaps in time all Xionists will learn, nothing will make them see." Tossed into the fires of a crypt did the missive burn. "Let only those of Umbridge remain. Let every mortal fall."

Fornotos sighed, her disappointment only growing. Alas, she continued to enjoy her indefinite vacation as she proceeded down her path of redemption.

An Oyashiman stared at this missive. "What lament is there in the pursuit of this righteous cause..." She muttered, in her halls, bloodied by the gore of slain undead.

The Soulwarden of Lumbridge hums to himself, reading the missive within his own home in the seat of Xion. His menhir downstairs moans, the souls of the Oyashi slain from the last raid churning restlessly.

"Is this the righteous path?" He asks himself, as the missive burns to ash in voidal flame. The mortal stands, walking towards a window to stare out into the cold wastes of Ailmere. He remains unmoving for a long time, questioning his own thought and action.
