Louis was not fond of mega coalitions; despite his loyalty to one of the nations that was now apart of said coalition. He'd hope that war was to be soon. But he also hoped it wouldnt be a mega stomp.

The perpetual known as Aesingyr stirred behind youthful eyes.

The memories were not really memories; more like sensations, a reflex that hadn't been roused in decades. Dream-like visions of battlefields, of a hundred banners in a thousand coloured patterns rippling above fields of corpses and smouldering ramparts, flashed unbidden through his mind. The vessel that hosted Aesingyr could not say how he knew, but all he knew was that there could be no future where Mankind flourished without the restoration of the Mandate of Heaven.

Without the reunification of Man.

It was inevitable. Without that, the ken of Horen would wither.

And yet, in the same vein, there was a second sensation that accompanied that.

That there was none living who was worthy of the mantle.

Not yet, at least.

Not yet.

“I did not see this coming.” Princess Mattea of the Petra noted the lack of certain realms being included as signatories on the holiest alliance she’d ever seen - most notably the Holy Mother Church itself and its devout followers. “What could it mean that the Pontifical States and Numendil have not been invited to such a GODly covenant?” She asked her husband over their breakfast that morning.

Alaric stood, looking out a windowsill at the top of St. Joren's, directly across the Kastell Lesanov, the covenant sat behind him on a table. He rythmically tapped his fingers against the flagstone of the sill, with an empty stare peering into the quiet of the night, in deep contemplation.

"...Alea Iacta Est..."

"I believe it speaks volumes to their faith that they deliberately excluded the Pontifical States and Numendil from their pact... I wonder how the See will respond-- I pray they show them true mercy." commented Lord Charles Halcourt to his close relative within the Blessed Heart.
