501warhead 1796 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Hello! I am Royal Engineer Kalen Forseth, Head of the the Engineering of Alras. I am here today to set up the Alrasian Guild of Engineers. ASULON UPDATE We're not dead yet! No, ohhh no! We're still recruiting, and the Engineer's guildhouse will be resurrected as soon as I get the chance! We're going all out here, and I have lots of plans! Engineers will get RP training and experience in various mechanics and technologies, as to aptly be a 'Engineer'. Soon, I'll have something setup to identify the role of an 'Engineer' in the world. Purpose We are here to serve Aegis, and all of it's engineering and redstone needs. We serve under the rule of Alras and are based in Alras. We are paid per job, and MUST keep documentation of every single device made(I use a SSP save.) Amendment 1. to Purpose by Kalen Forseth, ((501warhead)): The Engineer's guild has overstepped natural redstone and explosives, and now are devoting time to enhancing technologies of Asulon. We aim to make subtle hop-scotch jumps in tech, only reaching MAJOR tech, such as airships, steam power, fuel, etc. ONLY with the approval of Game Masters/Admins. This tech will be taught to students depending on rank, and trustworthiness. It will be strictly limited to avoid powergaming. Dealings Engineers of the guild must beable to deal with Redstone, and have a BASIC understanding of structures, gates, and tools. We deal with the allies of Alras, and will be SELECTIVE about jobs! Amd. 1: We will also construct Balistas, Catapults, and other RP seige-type weaponry, as our RP dictates. Ranks Royal Engineer - Head of the guild, and is on the Alrasian Council. Chosen by High King and Viceroy. Master Engineer - Advanced member, and is under only the Royal Engineer. Chosen by Royal Engineer after he has displayed a large understanding of how redstone works, and has completed atleast (3) Large Device(s). Veteran Engineer - Advanced member, Under Royal and Master Engineers. Chosen by Royal and Master Engineers. Requirements - Completed (1) Large Device(s). Engineer - Basic member. The 'Basic' Rank of the guild. Chosen by Royal and Master Engineers. Must have completed (2) Medium Device(s). Must have displayed a decent understanding of standard Redstone. Journeyman Engineer - Basic Member. Chosen by Royal and Master Engineers. Must have completed (1) Medium Device(s) and (3) Small Device(s). Should understand redstone basics and a handful of gates. Apprentice Engineer - Entry Member. Chosen by Royal, Master, and Veteran Engineers. Must display interest in redstone and mechanics, and should be familiar with all imputs and outputs of Redstone. Members Royal Engineer(Head) - Kalen Forseth Master Engineer - Jed_Goldrush, Raeg Veteran Engineer - None. Engineer - Treco Journeyman Engineer - Vardemis_Varcorlav, Tyler_Isbord Apprentice Engineer - None. Device(s) Large - Has at least (1) Imput(s) and at least (15) Output(s). Medium - Has at least (1) Imput(s) and at least (4) Output(s). Small - Has at least (1) Imput(s) and at least (2) Output(s). Tech. Inventors will be promoted based on detail of RP involving their devices! ALL RP DEVICES MADE MUST HAVE DETAILED RP BEHIND IT. The Royal Engineer will judge RP detail! We are experienced with redstone mechanics and are capable of a lot, we have a stockpile of materials that we can use to help you. We also keep records of ALL Devices. Should you ever have a problem, where someone broke in and took/broke your redstone, we will repair it given the proper materials. We offer a 1 Week Warranty on ALL devices for free. Should anyone break your redstone device and you cannot easily repair it within a week of the finished product, we will repair it for free with our own materials. (*NOTE: Abusing this to gain redstone-products by breaking your own device will result in a 'BLACK-LIST' from the guild, as well as disfavor in the eyes of the Alrasian Nation.) I have a decent knowledge of redstone, but sadly I have a more jury rigged aspect of it, which means I usually do some different things not according to the book to create devices or use older techniques. I cannot name a majority of the extensive logic gates, but I do have a decent knowledge of how majority of them work. I think I am good in dealing with redstone, my strenght is to compress circuits so they are very small, but this takes a little time. I invented very much interesting devices with my friend and I know most of the things you can know about redstone. I know how it behaves with which blocks and how to build a mechanism using different gates etc. Any links to redstone devices you've made before and documented(Screenshots/Video). Song-Composer Just put solid blocks between the glass. Depending on where you place it a note will be played when the block passes the repeaters. Train Thats awesome! I saw a video where some guys built a train using pistons that push each other so the blocks moved, but they used masses of repeaters! Me and my friend thought about it and invented a very compressed method! My friend helped me! He is the perfect guy when you need a song in minecraft! He built songs like Popcorn, Funky Town, Jeopardy, Barbara Streisand, Star Wars Imperial March, In The End Remix, Somewhere I belong, Tetris, Thriller and Zelda Theme.*** Why do you wish to join the guild? I want to join the guild, because I'm very interested in redstoneing, I live in Alras (Windmill at the big farm *.*) and I like it to help other people with defence-systems, door-circuits etc. I'd also like it to have some friends in the city!
