WHAT I SAW AND MY EXPERICE

DURING 1 YEAR OF LOTC

Hi everyone,

With the new year just around the corner, and after spending over a year here on LOTC, I felt like this was finally the right moment to say hello properly and share a bit of my journey.

So, hi! I’m Jade. I joined LOTC in May 2024, during a time in my life when things were pretty quiet and I was dealing with some personal struggles that made me shut myself away a little. Like many others, I came here looking for an escape, somewhere warm and comforting where I could breathe for a while and take a break from a tiring reality.

My self within the server

I’ve always been someone who deeply loves fantasy. Just like my character, I’ve picked up so many different skills and hobbies over time, never really settling on just one thing. I’ve always been drawn to anything that isn’t modern — from war novels to fantasy stories, to essays about history and battles.

When I first joined, I honestly had no idea what an RP server even was — I was completely new to everything. But with time, patience, and the help of so many kind people, I grew to truly love LOTC. Even though I’ve experienced moments of toxicity and personal hurt that still linger,

I’ve continued to stay, to enjoy what this place offers, and to do what I can to make others’ experiences better.

Someone once told me that I love making people happy — they called it a good trait, and I think they were right. It’s something I truly care about.

I don’t really know if I’ll keep playing on this server in the future, but I know that the people who know me and have roleplayed with me are a big reason I’m still here. Maybe they’ll be the ones who keep me around — who knows? I’m always open to whatever the future brings.

I don’t usually talk much or show my emotions openly, but I think it’s important to say this:

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has shaped my LOTC experience. Whether in big ways or small, you’ve made a difference, and I genuinely appreciate it.

@Apricette

Spoiler

I know that what happened hurt you deeply, and I still hate that someone wounded your kind and trusting heart. But if it hadn’t been for you, I would’ve never had the chance to meet so many wonderful people in Petra — honestly one of the most beautiful things that happened to me this past year. I really hope everything in your life is going well, Apri. Sending you lots of love.

@Dramatude @_RoyalCrafter_

Spoiler

I don’t know you very well yet, but you and Royal truly made this last month unforgettable for me. I absolutely love the dynamic you two have, and even if I don’t get the chance to say it again, I want you both to know how much I love you. And Drama — please always stay the way you are, never change. I love you too, Royal. <3

@ValleyOfLavender@Echo_42069

Spoiler

You two are honestly just like cats and dogs in the best possible way — I adore your dynamic so much. I really appreciate how you’ve supported me, and how I’ve been able to support your ideas too. And Lava, you know I’ll always be there with you to tease Echo! I wish both of you all the love and happiness in the world. Thank you for trusting me and letting me be part of your journey.

@Flutterc4t@Snow1770

Spoiler

I never would have imagined that I could trust people online as much as I trust both of you every single day. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank you enough for all the love and patience you’ve shown me. I always look forward to your presence in my daily life… it truly means so much to me. Thank you, really. I hope you’ll continue to be my besties and keep putting up with my silly shenanigans. :3

The Auclair fam @Muckelpu@Lokvank

Spoiler

I never really felt like Auclair was truly “mine” at the beginning. Back then, it was mostly me being there to support Apri and help with the family. A lot has happened since then, but lately I’ve finally started to feel like it is a family — a place where I can just hang out and be surrounded by wonderful people.

All I ask is that you bear with my madness a little, and I truly hope we can keep building something even better together — a place where we can enjoy ourselves, support each other, and feel like we belong.

@Hom

Spoiler

I know that most of the time I probably bother you a lot… and there are moments where we just don’t fully understand each other — whether it’s a language barrier or simply me being a bit silly sometimes. But despite that, I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me throughout my LOTC journey. Thank you so much, Hom, for always looking out for me. It truly means a lot.

@tilly

Spoiler

What can I even say… most of the time I don’t have the words to describe how wonderful you are. Just like everyone in Petra, you made me not want to leave LOTC or Petra at all. I love who you are, and sometimes I honestly look up to you — you inspire me to try to be better, to make others feel comfortable, happy, and welcomed when I play or chat with them.

Thank you for being exactly who you are. Thank you for everything, hottie! <3

@drtrollado @Crshirk@GaggedBrain

Spoiler

Even though we didn’t roleplay together a lot, our time in Venice will always be a precious memory that I’ll cherish deeply. It was a project I truly loved, even if it didn’t turn out the way I hoped it would. When Nuker asked me to play Elayne, I didn’t think much of it at first — but when all of you joined the family, that feeling came back. I found that spark again, that place I loved, and I got to experience it once more because of you.

I’m sorry it didn’t go exactly as expected, but I genuinely loved playing with all of you again. Thank you, truly. I will always love and cherish those memories.

@russijaka

Spoiler

I honestly don’t know where I’d be without you. You’ve been there through it all — Chambery, Auclair, and the guild — always by my side, a true partner in ideas and in chaos. I can’t thank you enough for all the incredible moments we’ve shared. Your presence has made everything so much more fun, meaningful, and memorable.

Thank you for being you, for sticking around, and for making this journey something I’ll always treasure. I’m so grateful for every laugh, every plan, and every little moment we’ve had together.

@Zemzy_Oakheart

Spoiler

I don’t always have the right words, but I want you to know that I truly cherish you. Even if you don’t say much, your presence matters more than you realize. I want to be here for you, to support you and make things a little easier whenever I can. You can always count on me — I’ll be present, cheering you on, and ready to help however you need.

You’re important, and I’m grateful to have the chance to share this journey with you.

Of all the folks I’ve met on this server in my months here, you are by far the most passionate. The level of dedication you take to cultivating a family and even more so to making me feel apart of it despite my late entry is astounding❤️

I adore playing your IC daughter and can’t wait to see where this next year leads!

I don't think I've met you much here, but you seem like a nice genuine person, :D.

I wish I could've made my path on here differently, recently I've been seeing a lot of newer players than myself, enjoying the server. Sep 2023 player here; and since then I've hardened in a way and became more cynical to the playerbase and staff team, and lost a lot of motivation and joy after the idea of the game being rigged OOCly and ICly stayed in my mind, but here's hoping that it'll change, it may someday, and I might be back, and we could possibly RP together :D

We've never met, but there is never a lack of appreciation for kind-hearted individuals contributing to the collective story-making process of this server.
You will certainly come across some unpleasant people and situations, but even they are here for the same purpose we are: participating in creating an endearing story and bettering our own interpersonal skills (not to mention writing quality).

Thank you for enjoying this server and tolerating the community for a whole year and more; we immensely appreciate those who make our slice of minecraft tolerable.

Jade, I'm proud of how much you've learned and how far you've gone with your characters, even when being true to their personalities can be a challenge. You've been fun to talk to and create with, and I look forward to another year with you <3

You are  a great friend Jade with plenty to offer LOTC, and those around you so here’s to hopefully many more memories to come. (Thanks for playing Ely even though it didn’t go as we had planned.) 🙂
