[Lore] Al'khazar Blighted

 Share

Recommended Posts

*Standing on top of Al'Khazar's cathedral, his white robe flattering in the stormy wind, the night falls over the capital of the once so mighty nation of Oren. Next to him Lirinya, in her pink robe. Staring at the slowly moving lava, he whispers a few words.*

We should consider marrying here, dear..

*Grinning wickedly, he throws a rose into the flames. It burns immediatly, leaving some ash.*

This was just the beginning...

*Smiling meekly at Lirinya, he continues staring into the flames which are swirling through the night.*

So discontent. With the unwinnable event featuring undead on top of the keep's outer ceiling raining down lightning and spawned minions (how did they get up there anyway if not teleportation by someone with OP?), but I actually managed to peg one with an arrow when they would duck out from cover, cast a bunch of lightning, then jump back into cover behind a chimney or something...

...YOU ARE IN A NO-PVP AREA...

Then come to find out, oh yeah, they did turn pvp on... right about the time undead players started playing "Summoned_Skeletal_Infantry" and the like. And then this plague nonsense. Seriously. I could understand making it so that if you were to STAY in the city you'd be killed, but it's beyond obnoxious to have it insta-slay anyone who either logged off in alkhazar (Gee, who would log off in a capital city? a bunchafugginfolk?), soulstones to there, or got sucked back to it in a rollback.

Is -1 heart a second (people said it's 'been buffed' from that, so what is it, -4 hearts a second? Like falling into the void?) really necessary?

I mean, look at the nether, the place where no life can stand, where if you are to go there, the lore says your soul is siphoned from your body until you're just a lifeless husk of a corpse.... That place does one heart A FREAKIN MINUTE to you.

Would one heart every 10 seconds be too much to ask? Unless you were in the dead center of the city, you should be able to run in any direction and at least escape with your life.... wasn't that the whole point of the RP event? People can escape with their lives, or fight to the death (since it was unwinnable to begin with), but it isn't just instant death for everyone who logged off there or used a soulstone or whatever.

*In the dead of the night The Heretic Cara walks the streets of 'Al'khazar'. Admiring the remains of the once Human city. The Soulsand and Netherack litter the streets and lava runs in streams down the once 'normal' keep. She giggles to herself while thinking back at how easily their 'King' was kidnapped and what little threat he posed.*

You will learn soon enough that the forces of Iblees are not to be messed with. Even your glorious Ascended could not help you.

Im surpised it did not fall sooner. The humans have been keeping up the fight for so long.... how long did they think they can protect it? They must have fought hard and valiantly and may those who lost there souls not serve in the nether........

But we all know we cant stop fighting now! We must fight on! No matter where it can take us! Protect your homes and families! We must protect what we have left, if we dont everything will fall!

We will win no matter what! Some may die but there lives may bring a new era, an era of finally ridding the world of this taint! I will gladly give my life for those who may step over me and push on!

We will win, we have to!

*Deltaro walks away and disappears into the dead of night clutching what seems to be a book and some weird bag of powder

-Vardak walks upon the ruins of Al'khazar, staff in hand as he raises his hands in the air, twisting his staff horizontally as his purple eye glows, the dead rising from the ground with ease. He looks around, the dead bodies rotting to the miasma as he removes his hood, the final pieces of his flesh now falling off, he looks up to the sky, an eternal darkness blankets him in the warmth of the Fallen Lord.-

"The heretic Aengul bloods did nothing to stop us, My.... Overlord himself made sure that they would not interfere today..."

-Vardak takes to the rooftops, looking down at the poisonous clouds that envelop Al'khazar, jumping roof to roof as he sees the other undead, Throwing lightning into the sky like he would his roars, both eyes glowed now, looking at the Overlord and High prophet.-

"This... This was too easy... Your wrath has been felt, and my staff ripped apart all you see down ....there. This eternal night is yours, m'lords. We shall take Aegis soon.... I won't let anyone get in our way."'

-Vardak motions to the walking dead, a small sea of monsters, the miasma pouring around them as they swam around in it, he looked over them, nodding slowly.-

"The end....is near.

The Worst has come to pass... Yet I see even blacker storms on the horizon... The game has been set, the table is ready, yet what are we to do... I can tell you what we must do... we must strike the undead now... Before more cities fall... And If only I could say how...

No, we do not need a defense, we need an offense! If we sit and let the undead come to us then they will have the advantage of where and when. Now the forces of Aegis have a TARGET. If the undead can sweep over the city of Al'khazar and capture it in a single night then we can do the same!

May I consider a few things.

All able bodied men and women who are willing to fight for Ageis.

You must join your local guard or military and fight alongside them.

When a battle comes, run the long miles to fight.

When an abush occurs, gather reinforcements rather than try and go as a one-man-army.

Farmers and miners, set up shops and you will be promised wealth from your local warriors.

Strength in numbers and strength in heart, that is the key.

This war is not for Oren, not for Krumgar, not for Malinor, Kal'Urgran, or Alras.

It's for Ageis.

Remember that as your morale.

Teamwork equals survival.

May you help Ageis prosper through this hardship.

Be safe.
