Dont take me wrong, I still love to kill, Maybe I worded that wrong Blaw, I mean by a Merciful Orc, not a Kill on sight Orc, I still love to Murder and Whatnot.

If this somehow happens, I will keep on the xtreme downlow and NO MATING IS INVOLVED, (Too graphic).

Due to the amount of hate and flaming I am getting, I am going to give up on this maybe until the new map.

(go for it all the power to you, but if i found out ingame its not going to be nice :P so better keep it real down low.)

I honestly think you should do it, and even push it in character a bit as well. Just because yer preference is for the same gender doesn't mean you can't be an orc. In fact, I think it might make it more interesting.

Orcs are stubborn, tough, bloodthirsty, violent, and have the very interesting way of showing affection via violence. A gay orc could be very subtle or very pronounced, depends on which route you want to go, but as I think of it, I can see two bulky males slamming heads over and over and over trying to figure out just who's the 'male' would be very interesting

And the in character conflict could be very interesting, especially in the orc culture, where the real point of mating is to make cubs, to reproduce. The heat you'd get from within the culture itself would be an interesting struggle to watch

( Imagine if Rogash was still around, maaan.... You'd have a mate pretty much, he loves trees, apples, and likes to help old women in their homes. )

((Don't get me wrong here. Im certainly not bashing the idea of being a gay Orc, in fact I personally think Orcs would be the first culture to not give a crap who you mate with (I really have a hard time believing a culture which says "After battle, mate with the strongest nearby person" would frown upon homosexual relationships).

That being said, if I see you being on any level in game, I will pound the living hell out of you. Orcs are a culture of strength and Honor. When you meet someone too weak and pitiful to take care of themself, the greatest mercy you can give them is an honorable death. They are a burden to society as well as themselves. They endanger and dishonor those whom they live with and must be culled. Those who break the law are dishonored and disgraced and should be thrown in the arena and made to fight for their life under the judgement of Krug. Mercy is for the weak, given by those too weak to give true justice, and I just told you what happens to the weak. You want to be a merciful murderer? Go be a human or an elf.))

((Blaw hit the nail on the head again. It's not the homosexuality. In-fact we've actually had discussions before that orcs can basically mate with whatever they want without care, as long as you can defend it in the arena. All problems are solved by arena battles. If you want to mate with a cactus, and somebody has a problem with that; then they would challenge you to a fight in the arena. If you can't be beaten than you have proved that Krug favors your decision over person X. That is how "right and wrong" are generally decided.

The problem with the story is what Blaw highlighted. If you act this way in public (in front of other orcs) the average orc should not hesitate to challenge you to a fight in the arena.))

Most warrior cultures had a fair share of homosexuality among their ranks. No problem there.

If you show weakness in Krugmar though, like refusing to fight or kissing in public (lawl) you and your mate will probably get klomped around a bit. I'm sure most of us are mature enough not to take it too far out of context though.

I say go for it and see what happens. It's a game, enjoy it. I don't see this softcore orc epidemic threatening our very existence that some of the others are referring to, other than the usual split interests wrapped in GM red tape that we've had during the entire time I've played.

I also agree with what Ned has said, and also i think you are bringing a total new aspect to LotC itself.

Even though, some may not agree with what you are doing. But that shouldn´t be a problem.

Oh, I love my pvp, I will never pass up a chance for a good klomp.

And I am trying to keep it secret IC.

Is he asking for orcs to be happt, prancing, loving, and caring? We already have some of those. They don't live with us, they live with humiez.

Yay, philosophy time. An appeal for ugliness is something developed over hundreds of years. I imagine the first reaction of Krug was like "AAAAH! MY FACE!" But after years I imagine the orcish people (descendants) took the ugliness as a sign of pride. Almost like a badge of honor. "We actually tried to stop Ibless and have the scars to prove it; you 'pretty' races didn't do jack." A thousand or so years developing like this means that ugliness becomes a a positive trait for orcs. The reason why we don't consider "ugly" as "pretty" is because we actually have a reference point (the other races).
