Yay, philosophy time. An appeal for ugliness is something developed over hundreds of years. I imagine the first reaction of Krug was like "AAAAH! MY FACE!" But after years I imagine the orcish people (descendants) took the ugliness as a sign of pride. Almost like a badge of honor. "We actually tried to stop Ibless and have the scars to prove it; you 'pretty' races didn't do jack." A thousand or so years developing like this means that ugliness becomes a a positive trait for orcs. The reason why we don't consider "ugly" as "pretty" is because we actually have a reference point (the other races).

actually the ugly part didn't come from Orcs it came from elfs and humans calling them ugly, instead of taking it as a insult the orcs took it as a point of pride and strength, because to humans they are ugly because there green, bulky, huge, deformed jaws and have tusks but all that to orcs is a sign of strength and pride as they gained thous es things by being the most hated of Ibless. Though if you relay look at orcs there not ugly in orc standards cause there is no standards, as orcs do not size things upon looks.

So here's something for philosophical debate:

Orcish culture has evolved to view Ugly as a positive trait, and beauty as a negative trait. That being said, Iblees' curse to the Dwarves was to make them the ugliest creatures alive. SO, doesn't that mean we view Dwarves as model perfection of the trait which we view positively?

And you all made fun of me for that first child of mine that came rolling into Krugmar...

Its like I said, its what we are that we are proud of, color, size, deformed jaw, and tusks.

Not really Ugliness, But our Ugliness as the humans say.

RP name: Malakai

Race: Elf

Why do you want to? I would like to do this for the simple fact that, There may be some younger members of the community who are confused by the concept of homosexuality, I think this would be a nice and easy way for those people are are to accept it, and yeah.

I get the whole "orcs are violent by nature" thing, but mine is half elf, I'm a whitewash.

Does that mean its still rong to think like an elf? My character is just as smart and literate as any elf or human. Have I been technically breaking lore by doing so?

The breed doesn't mater, but if you were raised by elves then i would expect you to be like them.

((I don't think being a homosexual orc is a bad idea at all. However, your idea that being a homosexual orc automatically makes you "merciful" or "kind" is very stereotypical of homosexuals to begin with.

Now, a homosexual orc that still is just as bloodthirsty, violent, stubborn, etc. as all other orcs....well, then that just seems to be really cool!))

(erm... Orks are smart and literate and can be more so than elfs and humans.)
