TOWN CHARTER

MC Name:

shiinchan

RP Name:

Baron Maximillion Draghon

Town Name:

Trade Town of Boria

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

Me / My character is starting this town as a central hub for trade, Boria is a town that will be given racial theme'ed districts that sell items from all over the world, it will house many of shops and homes, even trading companies may take up shop for there workings there. Its going to have a central plaza that is dedicated to festivals of all sorts, from Dwarven drinking festivals, to Elven festivals... Any nation will be allowed to host a festival in our square at any time with the proper advanced notice. It will also house a decent sized arena dedicated to Klomp fights / tournaments and Sword fights to the death (Not rp kill off character death) this will bring people from all over to a central place in the middle, creating RP interaction between all races in a non hostile place.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

The Political system will be as follows, Me as the leader, Then i will have a court of advisers, Advising me on Finances, to Trade route agreements, to even planning and organizing events such as the festivals, as well as Public Relations with other nations to ensure peace and prosperity.

Leader: Shiinchan

Court Member of Trade: Arthus (ErcMan)

Court Member of Public Relations:

Court Member of Resources: Ash (Edronos)

Court Member of Festivals:

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

residents will exhibit peaceful and supporting behavior. As a citizen there job is to support the merchants, the citizens who do not own shops will be able to "apply" to the other merchants for work, as well as apply to the town, this is going to create an RP economy that supports auto shop economy, bringing RP back to purchases.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

i would Prefer there very center of the of 4 major nations (Orc, Dwarf, Elf, Human) This way im as close to one nation as i am the other, giving the purpose of my town more reason, and creating a shorter distance for those coming to festivals and arena matches.

Size? to start out we have someone who MAY get diamond donator so i believe thats 100x100 is a very good size for us to start, but the "square" where the festivals are going to be held is going to built to its full size so "temp" shops will be erected there for once more merchants and residents move in, more space will be needed as required by the growth.

The lay out is very simple, its going to have a decent size "square" where all the festivals will be held.... (think like a roman festival square) This will also house "open" shop tents these tents are designed for one purpose, manual shops, no auto shops will be granted in the festival square tents, the reason behind this is to promote RP trade / barter and exchanges.

in each "corner" of the town, will be a racial district, this is NOT to segregate at all, in fact its for the opposite, items that elves would sell more then dwarves would be in the elven district right? this makes dwarves orcs and humans travel there, creating cross race RP and unity, As well as flow through the city giving every shop owner equal chances at business

Now picture your looking down on our town, at the "top" of the square will be the only government building, a humble one to keep on staff worker information as well as trade agreements (I will be writing these in books) to even (if i do it) Shop Deeds.

And behind that with 2 nice flowing avenues will be the Arena, where all klomp and sword matches go on during festivals, or when i host Boria Tournaments.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

This town is going to be host to not only all 4 races but many clans, guilds and companies that hose a shop in my town, all types of architecture will be present.

I will not prebuild any shops i feel that it would be alot better for our town culture if the players built there own shop, showing there own style of building, with the only restriction of staying in theme of the district, Does this mean a dwarf can only build in the dwarf district? Absolutely not, a dwarf is absolutely allowed to buy and build a house / shop in say the elven district so long as he keeps its elven

The town is going to start off "Poorish" because im the founder and im migrating here with little supplies right? to keep it in line with RP, instead of these other towns "popping up" over night... Im going to RP our town into lavishness, starting out with a wood festival square, and slowley transforming the town into the lavish festival town its going to be. This will give the town a rich History on the knew map and build its lore, ill have a library chronicling all the events also.

ATTENTION PLAYERS: If you are a resident (own a house) in Boria, i need you to put RESIDENT on your post, If you are just a merchant (own just a shop ) i need you to put MERCHANT on your post, this is because i was OKAYED to have NRM's (Non Resident Merchants) who own a shop but live in another town to sign my charter, this will help alot.

Town Lore to date:

Maximillion and 2 travelers he met spent days traveling the lands, passing through towns such as Alras, Galahar and the now destroyed Whispering Isle's. Coming across a small patch of land unused by any nation, a patch of land perfect for his idea of a town... A town devoted to one cause, Bringing joy to the hard working citizens of Aegis, to claim a champion of aegis in Lethal and Non Lethal combat, Even combat against beast and monsters of Aegis that could be safely caged and trapped! Ahh all this in one nation and ontop of all that, to have festivals of drinking, friendship and prizes? What a nation Maximillion thought to himself, and so Maximillion, Thorak, and Arthus began breaking ground forming the land, building shops and houses, Naming this new founded town Boria, A tribute to his childhood pet, "Bori".

The first building to be erected was a church to Aeriel, this was a shrine of sorts to ask for protection as the town blossomed into more then an outpost. Soon merchants took notice of the traffic the town brought to its small two streets and after weeks, a merchant names Hildor took notice opening a shop there. This also brought some attention not wanted, as Warlord Magroka's orcs came around informing Maximillion that a tax of 3 blocks of diamond will be payed or the town will be brought to the grown in flames. Fearing the death of his citizens and merchants, Maximillion agreed to said tax. At first there was a small Klomp Pit and Maximillion was the undefeated champion even besting the orc Gralka, luckily Maximillion was able to befriend this orc and not get killed or ate by the orc. This Klomp Pit is how Maximillion met the Noble Sir Baldwin of Galahar, making good friends Maximillion would later call upon his assistance.

Eventually another merchant moved shop into the small town, she was a gorgeous high elf by the name of Awren Silverblade, She being able to fix almost any blade or tool, opened a elven style black smith just at the end of a main path. A few months have passed and the merchants were making a fine amount of wealth from there shops in boria, Maximillion went around collecting taxes, when he suspected a merchant.... Hildor was skimping on the taxes and holding back on how much profit he was truly making as well as indulging information that him and another citizen were part of a group called the "Purge". One day after a great plague affected Galahar the baron met a dwarf that went by the name Ingot, Informing Maximillion of the future attack on Galahar, Asking Maximillion for his Allegiance. Fearing that the wrong answer may cause Boria to be attacked by the Dwarven army as well, he falsely pledged his assistance to ingot, While holding his tongue of his true Allegiance to Galahar and Sir Baldwin.

After learning all this information, Maximillion could not properly sleep for many nights, then hearing the attack on Galahar and its failing... Maximillion decided to visit Sir Baldwin in Galahar discussing the events that unfolded at Boria days before the attack, and Hildors roll in it, including Hildor being part of the attack it self. Maximillion also told Sir Baldwin of the tax that was not given, and asked for assistance in removing Hildor from the town. Three days time pass when a force of 5 Galaharian Knights come to Boria bearing force led by Sir Baldwin. They surrounded Hildor and declared that Boria was under law of galahar and he must leave for his treachery. Hearing this Hildor packed up and left town, vowing revenge on Boria and the Baron Maximillion.

Months passed since those events, Since then many new merchants have moved in to Boria, Including the Aegean Trading Company, bringing reliable stock to our merchants. The citizenship of Boria has shot up from the days of creation of Boria. Now housing a few Mansions, a new tavern and many more shops then expected Baron Maximillion Draghon hosted Boria's first ever Borian Ale Fest! The festivities lasted 4 days of Drinking, Partying, Laughter and Friendship! Drunken songs could be heard for miles at end, the slamming of tankards echoing through the hills. the last day of the Festival prizes were given out, Stone... Plants... Dyes... and a grand prize toss out of Diamonds! TnT! and Gold! lavishing its citizens and Party goes alike in luxury.

Written By a Mysterious Follower of Maximillion....

...This is the last entry into the book found, a small chronical of a town coming into its own, By a gentlemen that goes by the name of Maximillion. I one day hope to see this town for my self... to Gaze upon such a town that is so devoted to Joy and Happiness, Something rare in this time of hell.... Hell from the undead.... Boria a town of dreams...

EDIT:

I have figured out a pricing and tax plan, to make sure that money is constantly generated for the town, Yes the money goes to me but a percentage of the money i make from taxes and sales goes back into the town, buying materials from out of town suppliers to sell to the merchants at a cheaper price then there suppliers, to get materials to grow the town, and to pay town hired contract workers.

Shops:

These are the back bone of Boria, Both AutoShop and RP shops will be accepted, How ever i want RP trade and bargaining to happen so discounts will be given to people willing to open RP shops that they must stay in shop to make there money.

Shop prices will not be considered based on size as most shops will be the same size give or take a few blocks, But they will be based on proximity to major focus points of the city, such as you will pay more being next to the square, and less if you are farther back, likewaise being next to the arena.

Also i prefer and almost require all shops to sell specified goods, no one shop will be allowed to sell everything, this is not to control you, or to limit your profit as that hurts me. This is to ensure that every shop owner be able to make profit in this town. Making Boria rich makes you rich.

Shop Prices and tax:

RP Shop Initial Purchase:

1300 - 2500

RP Shop Tax (Once every RL week):

250 - 450

Auto Shop (Limited amount near Square):

(Limited space near square): 6000

Auto Shop Initial Purchase:

2500 - 4500

Auto Shop Tax (Once every RL week):

350 - 650

Houses:

Houses will NOT be next to the square at all, they will actually how ever be spread out around behind the shops, some will even mix in with shops! This i feel will give a great experience to mingle in RP. Like shops houses will be ranging in price.

Housing Prices and tax:

Houses Initial Purchase:

800 - 4500

Houses Tax (Once per week):

150 - 250 if you are a merchant in the town.

250 - 350 if you are just a resident.

This pricing set up IS subject to change, it subject to slight negotiations and will help Boria become a great nation.

Once you own a shop and want to get rid of it, you MAY sell it but you MUST contact me or my court and a percentage of the sell must go to town. this is not figured out but roughly around 30% of the sell will go to Boria, With that said if you want to sell your shop that you payed 2000 for, for 20,000 and you can sell it, More power to you, just make sure you pay the sales tax please.
