Update: 17th day of Plague Emergence. -Posted in Cloud Temple-

Crops have been reported to be blighted, withering and dying in the fields. Eating bread made from infested grain is reported to cause infection. Please, for your own safety, refrain from eating bread that smells suspicious.

Plague has come to the land, sweeping invisibly across the mountains and seas, spreading the seeds of Famine and Pestilence amongst the populations of the Kingdoms. Its most foul breath, filled with the stench of death and decay, causes both man, crops and beast to wither and die, and once-thriving towns to become haunted and abandoned graveyards overnight.

The tide of sickness is seemingly unstoppable, spreading to the four corners of the land. The only warning of the Plague was the prelude to it - fleeing survivors and infected, seeking refuge from the far-spread fingers of death itself - named “Garth’s Revenge” by several victims who fled to the temple. They came, in droves - family, friends, even strangers worked together to flee from the decaying husks of Seventis and Skravia, seeking refuge and aid from the Monks. They believe it was armageddon, a sign of coming retribution from their Deity, Garth.

However, as more and more of the blighted and afflicted poured into the Cloud Temple, the Monks were stretched to a breaking point trying to deal with the sheer number of dead and dying they had on their hands. The casualties were staggering. Pyres burnt in the temple, trailing black, pungent smoke into the air, as the Monks furiously tried to dispose of the dead before it spread the contagion further.

Seeking a way to cure the deadly malady, many cures have been tried, with little success- Magic accelerates the plague, killing the victims with renewed vigor and ferocity. The Druidic Arts likewise do little to help the suffering. Even Alchemy did little to ease the suffering.

The Monks and Healers resorted to triage, and more gruesome final resorts in order to save those infected. Few survived, many more becoming mindless, shambling husks, until they eventually succumbed to unconsciousness and became catatonic, before perishing soon after, whilst others went mad with agony and attacked their fellow friends and allies.

It was a losing battle, and the Monks soon became enemies in the eyes of the people - accused of murder and other crimes against Asulon. Those who were in containment - a way of protecting both themselves and others - broke free, running rampant and spreading the disease further.

The many Kingdoms and Nations of Asulon rush to stop the spread in their own futile ways, fervently trying to find a cure to that which seems unstoppable, whilst others seek a more nefarious path entirely...

This Plague will be the end of us all, if we do not find a way to stop it.

Monk Ario sits on the mountain and watches, along with the other monks.

"If they do not allow us to help them, then we cannot. We must try to find a cure before it's too late."

It was meant to just be for Seventis and end quickly, but look at it now! It's amazing! If you have any questions concerning the disease, symptoms, etc. Please PM me or refer to the original post under Seventis Role Play.

[if this plague was the result of the sicknesses started in Seventis, then add some IC usable information about the Subudai being immune, since we started it in Seventis :3]

[That is indeed true, the Subudai are immune. We probably perhaps should say that because they were the ones that started it in Seventis.]
