Zebanamana 410 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Zibaen Vivyaen raises his eyebrows when his nephew the Grand Marshall interjects when the discussion had concluded. Sighing, he grasps his cane tightly and taps the ground with it while looking at Artorus wearily. “Grand Marshall, thou art always welcomed to oversee the training of military groups within our Empire. I hath little doubt that Baelish would be honored by thy request, however I must deny you pledging the entirity of thy military force and all officers as that is grossly neglegant. As the Duke of Westfall I shall not allow thee to leave thy lands and family unattended in Ildon.” The old man shook his head slightly. “Military men of Westfall need stay where they are needed, aid Baelish in raising levies from the Crownlands to serve in the Watch, in such a case they shalt have more stake in defending their home than a Westfallian.”

Senda 472 Share Posted July 15, 2012 A hushed silence falls as Gerrard Lane steps into the Throne Room. Faces turn to watch as the elderly knight stands just beyond the entrance, taking a moment to look around the room before walking in proper. Nodding briefly in greeting to a few familiar faces, Gerrard Lane walks along the path to the throne, stopping a few yards in front of it. Falling one one knee, as well as inclining his head in a gesture of respect, Gerrard speaks a single line as he adresses Godfrey: "Your Imperial Majesty." As Godfrey coughs politely and mentions for him to speak, Gerrard slowly raises his head to look upon his Emperor. Taking a moment to determine exactly how he wants to continue, Gerrard starts to speak: "My liege, It has been close to five years since the founding of Heaford, by your benevolent grace, home to myself and my following. With great joy and fervent abandon have we made work of employing our trade in your name, rebuilding Riven Castle for Ser Uthor, as well as erecting the fortification known as Shadow's Edge Keep for Ser Charles. By your wisdom, we have been granted leave to assist the Orcs in the reconstruction of their capitol city, that our efforts may reflect in a positive light upon the diplomatic relations between our two races. My liege, we wish to express gratitude. Gratitude towards your person, for the chances given and the rewards granted in your name." Gerrard pauzes a moment, allowing for his message to sink in with the Emperor, as well as the small crowd of people, who stand and watch in silence. "My liege, I come before you today to resolve a matter you brought up when you visited Heaford in person, almost two years ago." Taking note of a small glimmer of recognition in Godfrey's eyes, Gerrard continues: "By your wisdom, I have come to open my eyes to the world in a broader way then before. It is by the grace of your foresight, that I have been given the priviledge of meeting someone in your court, that has become unto me.. a person of deeper interest then mere friendship. A person of such kindness, that it impossible for a man not to feel moved by her very presence. A person of such beauty, that she would illuminate the world around us, simply by smiling. A person of such quality, that she would enrich the life of your faithfull servant. As the entire Throne Room is dead silent, all attention concentrated upon Gerrard Lane, he delivers the final words of his message: Your Imperial Highness, I would wish for Lady Katherine Argent, Lady in Waiting at your court, to become my wife in marriage."
Strife 266 Share Posted July 17, 2012 *Strife rides into the Keep, his warhorse's hooves clopping across the pavement. He looks to the scribe, smiling benevolently.* "I am Strife Talos, the baron of Resmore in the Crownlands. I am here to discuss of land to Godfrey." *the scribe nods and he unmounts his horse, walking to the throne room. When he arrives, he kneels before looking up to Godfrey, and begins to speak* "Your Majesty. I would like to perhaps take claim to the small slum city near my docks. I would be willing to pay for the lands, and reform the housing. It would be my pleasure to do so."
Kickstarted and Running 965 Share Posted July 17, 2012 *Alexander sits upon his throne next to his father, looking at Strife, and gives a chuckle* "Strife, those are part of the original city. Allowing you to claim them would mean you are taking some of the same soil this nation was founded upon. Not to mention it is in use for projects for the Empire. This request is futile" *Looks away from Strife whom he clearly left out their title, and shakes his head in amusement, and his sips his wine, before turning and hearing a joke from the knight at his side* "Amusing, Ser Knight, but true also. I also find him rather.. Hmm.. He is still standing here.. Interesting"
VIROS 2915 Share Posted July 24, 2012 *Scribe Cecil Virosi waits for the Prince to finish and speaks from his desk near the dais. He puts some of his weight on his cane, leaning forward in an effort to see Talos Strife.* "My lord baron, I hate to interject, but being the scribe, I have documents here outlining why the area you've brought up is unavailable. You have my and this court's sincerest apologies, but the abandoned slums near the docks are abandoned for a reason. The land they rest upon will soon become part of the foundation for the Imperial Palace. Your offer, while very honorable and thoroughly appreciated by His Imperial Majesty and His Imperial Highness, I'm sure, is simply impossible to accept." *The aging scribe finally gives up on trying to see the Baron, and readjusts his seat so he can at least lean forward without needing to rest on his cane.*
Sultan 3953 Author Share Posted July 25, 2012 Godfrey leans to the side and looks at Ser Gerrard and smiles, ''Very well ser, but it is as noble costume that the groom pays the Bride price, and we shall pay the dowry for the bride, so we bless this marriage, if the lady accepts you as her Lord Husband.'' Motions for his herald to summon the Lady in question to hear her.
Nimshae Annamea Najade 117 Share Posted July 25, 2012 Lady Katherine cautiously entered the throne room, stepping carefully with her wide skirts slightly elevated. Her cheeks were slightly flushed from the exertion of rushing to the summons, but also slight trepidation as to what warranted her presence so abruptly. Spotting Ser Gerard as she entered the room, she smiled a quick greeting, reassured by his quick and easy smile. She found herself breathing a sigh of relief, she obviously hadn’t offended him too grievously the other evening in the palace gardens so hopefully this would not be a reprimand... Curtsying low before King Godfrey she lowered her eyes.... “Your Majesty?”
Tsuyose 3285 Share Posted July 25, 2012 *Adorellan waits for everyone to finish, he then walks into the Throne room, his armour clanks, as he walks, a girl follows behind him, she stands tall trying to make herself look strong. Adorellan looks to the Guards and nods then turns his attention to Godfrey, he bows his head then looks up* "My Liege I wish to speak about making" *Points to the Girl* "My Squire, she is a skilled fighter and knows how to survive, she has beaten a few Squires from what I've seen." *Nudges the girl and whsipers to her* "Speak your name" *The Girl looks up to Godfrey and bows her head then speaks* "Neri is my name" *Adorellan nods to the girl then looks back to Godfrey to await his anwser*

fireball137 5 Share Posted July 26, 2012 *Captain William enters the throne room in shock of all the valuables scattered around the room* *Bows down in front of his majesty's throne and looks up before saying:* Greetings my Liege. My Names is Captain William Horn. I have come from my crew of privateers to ask you for 3 simple things. My crew goes by the name of the Blackburn Privateers. Although we have a skilled crew we have not a ship. However I have the money to build my own. I simply ask in return for serving you as privateers the following 3 things. 1) Permission to build my ship on your land. Said permissions would be taken away from me once the Ship has finished its construction. 2) A locksmith to lock chests on board so that only I and other crew members may access them. 3) A letter of Marque written and signed by you giving me permission to sink the ships of your foes. I will now leave it in your infinite wisdom to decide if said things should be done. Thank you and Farewell. *stands up strait and walks out of the throne room in a most formal manor*
Nimshae Annamea Najade 117 Share Posted July 30, 2012 Katherine smiled widely as she listened to King Godfrey’s words, her eyes seeking Ser Gerrard who answered her smile with a warm one of his own. She felt the familiar blush creeping to her cheeks as she turned away from him, contemplating his proposal. Walking forward on quiet sure steps till she stood in-front of the King she rewarded him with a warm smile, he had been patient and kind with her, when she had been shy and awkward, he had given her a chance when she knew others wouldn’t, He wasn’t fooled by her curtness, He saw the shy and troubled woman within. She knew she owed a lot to this great man, and the family she had served. Suddenly she looked sad, Princess Anne she would surely miss her, but she felt instinctively that this, this was her path.... “Your Majesty, I will miss you, and your great family, none more than the Princess Anne herself, however I accept Ser Gerard's proposal and I thank you most dearly not only for your blessing, but for all you have done for me. In your service I have felt....truly blessed” Katherine delivered her speech with great heart and emotion, her eyes wet with tears unshed, as she lowered her head and curtsied low before her King... Senda 472 Share Posted July 31, 2012 Ser Gerrard bows deeply to Godfrey, before rising again and looking over to Katherine. As he walks over to her, a warm smile is shared between them. Gently taking her hand in his, his eyes begin to water slightly. Swallowing with effort to remain composed, he turns back to Godfrey. "As you command my Liege, the wedding shall be held two elven days from now.." Ser Gerrard turns back to Katherine as he finishes the sentence. "Notice shall be made across the lands, that we.. shall be married."
