I sent this idea "Don't let mobs spawn in light level 0 or 1 becouse they lag, and they aren't addition to any RP" to SapphireShard aka Freya today :)

Edit: I don't want to know how many mobs will be on surface :D

Was this in effect last night as well? I noticed a significant increase in the spawning of mobs above ground and under the surface. It was great.

So If I build a massive fortress deep underground, and turn all my lights off when I go to bed, I don't have to worry about getting slimed when I wake up?

I have already seen a huge change in the mob spawn rate. Unfortunately they have been spawning all over the city of Normandor... Time to light the place up a bit more. Great job though... I can finally make some money again

Yes. I means we can reduce the mob spawn rates without the player base noticing any change :D

Doesn't this make it disadvantageous to light up underground areas, as mobs will spawn where it is dim, but not completely dark?

That is great! Will finally not have glitched mobs all over my fort takeing potshots at me and my soliders >,<

Yeah, I had trouble with a couple skeletons while I was finishing the ceiling xD
