  1. 1. Should an optional quotation Chat Style be implemented?

The ability to name and give descriptions tools and if possible, items.

Like a Iron sword, but with a blue name

A gold sword, and when you hover over it it says :

Xiphos, the Lightbringer.

A pale yellow sword that seams to gleam even without the sun, it has the initials A.F carved onto its beak shaped hilt.

Excellent.

There is one thing i would like.

ALPHANUMERIC NICKNAMES!

Why?

Because a ??? nickname is un-meta able Also it can help in so many more ways just to remove a small trifling matter (i think it is)

Just a few things:

You are physically unable to bind your soul here.

Contradicts the soulstone lore. "You cannot bind your soulstone here," would fit.

"You will be punished if you metagame this information," is a rather harsh phrasing, sounding almost like an accusation. "Please do not metagame this information" or "Remember, this is OOC information", something softer like that, would probably work better in my opinion.

Aren't character cards only for visually apparent information anyway?

The only thing I'm not liking so far is the soulstones. Once, on my elf character, I had a soulstone set in one small town I RP'd in a lot, plus my home. I didn't have build perms in that small town, so the new system would mean I wouldn't be able to setsoul there. The only way to get there was either a fast travel that costed minas (minas my non-combat elf often did not have) or a long, dangerous walk with plenty of mobs.

Will ALL towns have a setsoul point?

Absolutely. I'm not much of a lore person myself, and these things will be configurable for the admins anyway.

Character Cards are abused all the time. To me, they're a nice tool to hold onto your information, to keep it in a solid state (if that makes any sense). Yet, at the same time it's abused constantly. I like "Please do not meta-game this information". Thanks!

The bio area of the Character Cards is really for describing aspects of your character that can't be done via a skin. E.g. My character card details my characters appearance, smell and voice.

"Aeriallas Galleon-Norodiir is a rather Poshly dressed elf. He walks elegantly, as any true gentleman should and smells strongly of a fragrance of mixed berries and roses. His voice is of quite a high tone, and he pronounces his words fluently and with a rather pretentious accent".

Perhaps changing the name of the section to something akin to Appearance, would be preferable - as most people who have their details meta gamed actually describe their characters life story inside the section.

People Metagaming the other sections isn't preventable really, if they do - speak with them and teach them the error of their ways. There's no need to set your name to ???.

While that would be great, Minecraft won't support this until the 1.4 update. But still, it would make a great future addition.

I love the quotation idea. It's just not something people use a lot of.

There shouldn't be a meta warning on the character card. Remove the Name, Gender, and Age areas and make the character card all about first impression. I've always abhorred people who put "meta" in their description, for they truly don't understand the purpose of it. When you see a new person, everybody's instinct in Aegis was to shift+click them. They'd immediately learn the things you'd notice off the bat about that character. Aka tattered clothing, a wound, a large scar across an eye, what have you.

This is the true purpose of a character card. This is an RP starter, and shouldn't contain any information that you couldn't deduce from looking at the person. All in all though I'm pleased with the speedy and more importantly cautious progress you guys are making. By cautious, I mean actually caring about our input on these things instead of making implementations as they catch your fancy. Thank you so much for your hard work guys, in between not only doing an amazing job at coding you've also been providing incredible RP for people, through miniature and large-scale events. Bravo!

These ideas are really good. I do like the idea of being to name Items with specific names. If that's possible It would be great.

Great things going on here, pretty much the answering of all the complaint topics in the Asulon Improvement Committee thread.

I like the idea of the soulstone. It forces people to actually have homes in cities to be able to soulstone there. Will there be checks in place for when someone has access to a region but later loses it? For example, someone purchases a home, sets their soul, but doesn't pay taxes and loses said home. Will the new changes prevent them from using that soulstone point?
