SDJFDSJNFDSLKJVNDFBN 315 Share Posted October 17, 2012 *Several notes written in jet black ink on rough parchment sit pinned onto noticeboards and walls around Arethor, The Cloud Temple, Norjun and Auvergne.* "My good people of the Empire, several days past a private ship was hijacked off the coast of Norjun. The uniformed navy sailors were tossed overboard, the cargo ransacked and stolen. Amedaius armored soldiers, now in control of Norjun, stormed the small vessel and harrassed the sailors by hurling them over the ramparts. A large shipment of bread and sugarcane on its way to our glorious Capitol of Arethor was stolen and claimed by these vile pirates. A sign was then nailed upon the ship in grim remark, declaring it annexed by Amedaius. Norjun has long been ruled by House Vallark, but now disbanded and gone, Amedaius has taken an iron grasp on the land and even resorts to pirating private vessels on trade missions. Thousands of Mina were lost to the pirates of Amedaius and countless sailors shaken by the cold waters. This serves as a warning to my fellow countrymen: the seas and docks of Norjun are not safe from Amedaius hijackers! Auvergne best be of utmost caution, as their merchant ships are at high risk. Will (TauFirewarrior) 2466 Share Posted October 17, 2012 * Lord High Sheriff Kais Ishikawa comes across these notes while in his office, he reads them and says to himself "House Vallark reformed into House Amedaius this is likely some sort of failed propaganda against Norjun" * Kais then hands notices to the many heralds of the Empire from Hansetti to Seventis it reads "To those who have recieved information about false raids performed by members of House Amedaius know that House Vallark did not disband but reformed back into House Amedaius with the consent of His Imperial Majesty's consent. Members of House Amedaius are not pirates or villains of any sort, the Office of the Lord High Sheriff assures you that they are an innocent House. It usurped it long ago, in its mere infancy! They even attempted it twice, though thwarted by Renati. I see the third time is the charm, eh? Sir, we can not allow them to continue hijacking private vessels. It paints our Empire as being composed of thieves and pirates! Their power over a once proud nation is despicable enough, but damn -Piracy- is intolerable." *sighs with discontent*, "I do hope my ship and goods are returned and the Amedaius pirates brought to justice. Thank you for your time, Sir." *turns to an approaching Herald and listens.* "Then, Sir, why has my ship been hijacked and it's goods taken if they are innocent? Why has my most prized possession, in which I have invested thousands, been torn from me? Why were my sailors thrown into the icy water, if they are innocent, Sir?" Without so much as a word he attempts to pop the man in the jaw with a swift right hook* "Lies and slander! You speak ill of my kin once more and I'll personally make sure you never speak again. I have a lot of doubt for your words. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole story was little more then a fabrication. To drive people away from the reformed House Amedaius." If it wasn't true, why are you abrasive enough to assault me before even speaking? The Stallion was mine, but was viciously stolen. It should still be off the shore of where Tahnaki once was...go look for yourself! An entire shipment taken, men tossed overboard, and cannons hijacked. It is piracy at it's finest. Now, Sir, if you would, speak like a civilized man rather than smacking me like a dirty barbarian! All I request is the rightful return of my property and goods. Anything less is thievery and the good sailors of the Empire ought to be warned of the Amedaius piracy acts. Will (TauFirewarrior) 2466 Share Posted October 17, 2012 * Heralds across the Empire are given notes written by the Lord High Sheriff Kais Ishikawa, they read "To those who continue to slander the good name of Amedaius will be punished for speaking treason against a Great House of Oren, it has been stated House Vallark reformed into House Amedaius with the direct consent of His Imperial Majesty Godfrey I, to those of military authority who hear of these slanderous words from the mouth of a common man you are to arrest offenders for the crime of Treason. That make your stomach turn.* "I am abrasive because the buffoon that stands before me slanders the name and reputation my family. I will -not- allow such disrespect to go unanswered. I can assure you as a member of the Amedaius, that no such event took place to our knowledge." *Slowly turns the blades end towards the man, his tone of voice lowering to an eire threatening octave that shoots shivers down your spine.* "Now. The Dutchy of Norjun is undergoing reform to irradicate issues such as this. The way the former leader left it in shambles, it's going to be an uphill battle. And your lies and slander are not helping the matter any. However, if we fight here in the street, it will prove that Amedaius will not stand by and allow its name to be diminished by these lies." *Flicks his blade up into the air, and quickly places it back within its scabbard, giving a quick nod to the herald* "Another word against my kin, and I will be taking you tongue as a souvenir. Frustration of his low birth and the fact that he still does not have his rightful private ship.* "Farewell. I have a meeting to attend to, anyways. A very important meeting. FORƎST 1312 Share Posted October 18, 2012 Davey raises both eyebrows at the title of the notice, barely managing to suppress a possibly-guilty-sounding gasp. skimming over the rest of it, he quickly relaxes. The sailor eventually twists his mouth disapprovingly as he reaches the end of the notice. Must've turned out to be a helluva pay day. And one one even bothered to let me know..."HMPH!"
