Multiple Soulstone Pillars

Edit: This system will continue to have changes until we get it right!

NOTE: Your soulstone data has been wiped! You'll need to reset your locations. Sorry!

In a previous poll, I gathered your feedback on the soulstone pillars. Today, put together mechanics for having multiple pillars.

Controls for Soulstones:

/soulstone - Gives you a new soulstone

/setsoul - Sets your one custom soulstone location

/bindsoul - binds your soulstone to a nearby soulstone pillar

Left Click - Teleport to your Selected Soulstone Pillar

Right Click - Teleport to your /setsoul location.

Sneak+Left or Right Click - Shifts through your soulstone pillar slots.

Soulstone Pillars now have names, and when you shift through your pillars with sneak clicking, it will display the name and location of that pillar.

The higher rank of a donator you are, the more Soulstone Pillar slots you'll unlock.

Edited:

VIP Ranks:

None - 1 slot

VIP10 - 2 slots

VIP50 - 3 slots

VIP100 - 4 slots

VIP300 - 5 slots

If these controls seem odd or uncomfortable, post a reply and give me your best feedback! My goal is to make this as smooth as possible!

Another thing I'd also like to point out is that you currently do not have multiple /setsoul locations. There is only one. Dgco and I both agreed on this. Sorry if that's a disappointment!

Overall Change Log:

-Reworked Soulstones and Soulstone Pillars.

-Enabled a large variety of sound effects

-Lowered the volume on the soulstone sound effect.

-Added /sing to a donator rank of $10

-Fixed /msg and /r

-Disabled MAGIC and BLACK chat colors in character cards.

-Fixed a lot of wandering soul permission issues.

-Added my customized handy dandy tools for the staff.

-Fixed /name from only gathering information from the first argument.

-Banned Iblees and wiped his data from the server.

Thank you all again for your patience. I will never stop thanking you for being an awesome, supportive community.

Can't wait to try out the new soul stones now ^_^

Also, can you elaborate what the "/sing" does? Just curious as to what that is.

Soulstones not working for me, I used the soulstone pilar and I'm not teleporting...... And I think we should have 1 soulstone location in 3.0, It is ok in this map. Edit: And it keeps glitching.

Tythus or Tyrions ult character, I am guessing it's a joke.

This probably isn't the place to be asking, but I have been experiencing some issues with the server. Whenever I try to login, it freezes, and then unfreezes with the message "Failed to login: java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable:connect".

Any reason for this?

I would really much prefer having multiple /setsouls and only one bound pillar. It makes a lot more sense in my opinion, since many players don't live in a capital or large city.

As an example, the Frost Witches likely won't get a soulstone pillar, despite the fact that there are ~10 members who want to get to and from frostwitch tower easily. Of course, they can use their /setsoul for that, it makes sense, and they can just teleport to the cloud temple or their capital of choice to return to the main player base.

Except what if they have another character who lives in a smaller city or town, let's say Malin's Gorge, for example. Or perhaps they have a character living in a fort farther away from many cities. Or maybe somebody has an explorer character, and they want to set their soul at a point that there character is currently at on his exploration.

Well, that sucks, because this system does not take into two factors. The first is the vastness of Asulon. Yes, travelling a certain distance by foot is more than reasonable, and ought to be expected, but with a size that (from what I've been told many times) is far larger than Aegis, it makes travel hard even with the fast travels. If somebody has a character which is exploring, or lives in a discreet location, this system makes meeting up with the majority of the server difficult at best. Secondly, it doesn't take into account alt accounts, which could be spread even further around Asulon.

Now, I am sure I could come to live with this system, but unless getting these pillars becomes fairly easy, I think it's a less than ideal solution to the broken plugins Vaq left us with. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm hating on you two, I'm really glad we have you guys on board, I just disagree with some of your choices, something my guess is you two can respect, even if you disagree. Good work guys, and keep things up.

I agree in most of this, but we shouldn't have so many soulstone locations. because In my opinion alec is giving way too many.

Wow Stop Complaining and be Greatful! You should be thankful that they are even doing this if you want so bad we could go back to the broken codes of Vaq and have a broken system! I had to post after every post just being more HATE! Get a Grip!

Thank You enough of my ranting!

I think I can be thankful and critical at the same time. I really appreciate the work these guys are putting into the server, I just think that it would make more sense to have more /setsoul locations rather than more soul pillar locations, or that soul pillars ought to be somewhat easy to get.

I think part of the reason they made this post was to get the insight of the community, as well as to inform.
