The Womping Wizard 400 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Please yes, this looks familiar/is our Aegis shop that worked perfectly fine, was very easy to understand and use as well.
Goldd 126 Share Posted November 4, 2012 So we buy shops not from the landowners but from the GMs?
Redbaron™ 690 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Yes, you should make it so the NPCS inventory is the only thing that can you stock items with unless there was a chest next time him that would in terms connect onto the things you can buy. Adding real realism and not everyone can sell a million things.
Danny 2232 Author Share Posted November 4, 2012 So we buy shops not from the landowners but from the GMs? No? The land you already must own. You build your shop and the structure. The plugin makes an automated NPC that does the trading rather than you having to be there all the time. The only payment is 500 minas, which goes nowhere to ensure people don't make shops just for the sake of it.
Alan 1815 Share Posted November 4, 2012 So we buy shops not from the landowners but from the GMs? That's not what was said, in fact GMs aren't involved at all, we simply have the ability to edit your shop if we need to. If you want a stall, you'll still need to pay the landowners for one, but according to mechanics you can essentially set one up anywhere, if you have the money,
Hunter (sckolar) 50 Share Posted November 4, 2012 I love the idea! I was wondering when we would add this in.
Rilath 3719 Share Posted November 4, 2012 *Reads the suggestion for 'new' shop plugin.* *Realizes it's basically the exact same as what was in Aegis.* Seems legit.
Austin 697 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Teehee, I remember using the Aegis Shop System to transfer 67k cobblestone from my old base to War Nation ;
SuperiorGrape 20 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Love it! Even if this is /basically/ the same thing as the shops in Aegis, I wouldn't know, having not been a part of LOTC that long. Still, this is a great idea, and I applaud your wanting to add this. :D
SkyyoBee 249 Share Posted November 4, 2012 I like the idea, as long as there are still some RP shops- I heard this could possibly be a donor only thing, which would solve that problem.(if not, this could cause citizens to loose jobs) and I enjoy RP buying things from other people. But it is a good idea, because a lot of people just sell their wares on the street- this will get shop owners more business and allow them to collect wares rather than man the shop the whole time. nppeck 601 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Just one question. Is this an already existing plugin or would the tech team code it?

Golden_Harvest_Richards 37 Share Posted November 4, 2012 A) The shop plugin is long overdue, thanks for starting to think about implementing it B) With the amount of work this will require as well as to keep the number of shops from getting out of hand this should be a donator perk. C) Limit number of items to something like 2 pages, but allow people to buy multiple (but still somehow limited) numbers of shopkeepers. D) Mobs need to drop minas again, that was the way that money was introduced to the world. As it is right now with everyone running around with 20 minas the economy will never take off again with or without shops. E) Godspeed, the economy has ground to a halt without shops Thanks for reading
Wizard 125 Share Posted November 4, 2012 This will be great for merchants. Thanks, Danny.
