Was this really thought out for nation leaders? It's going to be difficult to pay guards now that everything previously had that isn't emeralds is essentially worthless...

CORRECTION: Impossible to make payroll.

I honestly don't see a problem with this. I had some mina notes that were worth a lot, but Meh. Its a game, Il just earn it back.

You don't have to pay people wages, and you probably lost a tiny fraction of the amounts some people lost.

I know 3.0 is coming up and a plethora of new plugins are rolling out but I don't think that means they should be pushed out with little thought of how it will affect current roleplay.

If you take whats best for the server being a new economy system that promotes a healthy economy, limits mass amounts of hoarding, and gives a physical presence to currency then yes, you have been f*****. It isn't about you or any single player, it is what is best for the server. A lot of plugins have been replaced, and more will be. New ones, replacements, and removals; but all is done to better the gameplay of the player. The mina system had been broken anyways and it have been long overdue for a new one. This new plugin is a brilliant addition to the server. This along with other future plugins will create tons of new Roleplay. Even banks would make more sense. Promising re-enforced multiple gated rooms to store your vaults in to ensure that breaking into them would be difficult.

so if you fail to see the bigger picture here, then you should reevaluate the reason you play LOTC. Play To win, or play to RP.

Yeah, your probably right. I only lost 30,000 Minas in notes. Still, its just a game and no reason why it should be a problem. OOC the people you pay wages to are human beings as well, so they will understand that you lost your Mina from the update. They will live without a week of Ingame money.

So does this mean that there will finally be no more mina resets? And would the minas ever have the chance to be carried over to 3.0 IF any can make it over?

You know..my only issue with this is that after the 3 or four very long forum posts on minas drops from mobs where it was pretty clear most players wanted them to stay or to have a system of bounties replace them, is that this just ignores that.

But for now I expect that this is simply a stop gap system until 3.0 since this economy is already so messed up.

Problem is Mobs dropping Mina, only give warriors/hunters/soldiers a way to easily get Mina. The community wants it back, but really Mob drops is the way the economy got screwed up. Everyone can just keep hunting, and it makes sence in RP. The monsters are dropping money, everyone wants a share of the pie.

I being a knight (and in olden times a simple hunter) had gotten much more money than even some lords, and traders.

I am also guilty of killing off a monster spawner, I got most of my 30k out of that. I thought it was unfair but a good idea overall, since I wanted all the things. (Tis' fine everyone, I already broke it after someone found me out.)

Money should be able to be had from RP'ing not running around, left clicking a million times when you could be RP'ing. I think the solution we currently have is perfect. 0-2 Mina per zombie, making the actual hunt/loot off the bodies being the viable things to sell.

Here's the thing, it's is knly possible for the traders to make money off what the hunters earn. They are the only way new money is brought into the economy. So killing that = killing the economy.

It might just be me, but I don't like physical minas. It doesn't bother me that much though. I was poor in Aegis and in Asulon so I never had more than 3000 minas to at any time. Apart from the one time we all had 10k, what a fun day that was! Like christmas had come early. How does someone get minas now that zombies drop feeble amounts though?

Changing the money plugin is fine but when it gets changed seemingly every other week it gets frustrating. Furthermore, when money mysteriously disappears it's difficult to pay people for the RP they do. My guards don't make much and I assume they use the money they get to buy food and pay taxes. When the money plugin changes as frequently as it does I feel it disrupts RP more than helps it (despite probably being good in the long term).

And it seems more likely that people will just put a chest in the ground somewhere in the wilds as it would probably be much safer than storing things in a bank. Banks are targets for villains who almost always find some miraculous way to get around obstacles.
