Update:: The new Money Management System

Just because you don't doesn't mean no one else can. Some people worked hard to get all that money. and just saying "Chill out" won't change anything. People will still be upset because hey have a right to. And nice language.

I had more money then most people - I worked hard for it - I got over my own petty needs and realised this is the better move for the server. People need to realise this and stop hating on the admins and GM's.

Yeah it is good for the server, but with most changes in the past they could have notified, warned, or asked us our opinion. If they ignore the community, or just pay no heed to our woes, then what has LOTC become?

A simple "Hey guys new money system, please change all notes to emeralds" a week in advance would have solved the majority of these woes.

Upon retrospect, this seems like a pretty terrible idea.

Why on earth would you implement this without some kind of poll first?

There's almonst no positive response on the thread, and this system is so ridiculously cumbersome and unwieldy -it hurts-.

You also made no effort whatsoever to sustain the wealth of IMPORTANT RP factions, or at least to inform them first. This is seriously disruptive to the whole SERVER. Empires and nations are now literally penniless. Why? The fact that Mogroka, an admin, does not appear to have even been informed of this thing (I'm judging by his post) is nothing short of ridiculous.

We would if the plugin actually still worked vaq is the only person who has the jar and as far as I am aware he has changed it massively so his version won't work with ours anymore. So there isn't anything we can do about it although we wish we could. If we were to had a choice on this we would of done something different but alas we don't have that luxury. Laos if we were to say we will pay your your loss to the leaders everyone would want to be repaid and how do we check how much everyone has? go by their word? I'm afraid I don't believe that would work.

Typhus is right, The GM's do want to help to give you your money back but there are a lot of people that would lie about. Guess we have to live with the changes now everybody listen to David Bowie singing his song changes.

Give everyone a Base set amount of Minas, a small but livable amount, and then set a "kingdom" amount to be distributed to leaders who can then portion it out. It's better than people having to trade in things for currency, and it gets it out in the world.

*shrug* For the kingdoms, I think that maybe the admins can vote on how much money to give to each nation based on how wealthy the nations are. Just my two cents.

Also, (and I'll just let you know that I don't even have any mina notes so this would mean nothing to me personally), why aren't players with mina notes allowed to just show them to an admin/moderator and get compensation? Is it because of the sheer amount of players in the possession of mina notes?

Oh, and where exactly do players get emeralds? To begin with? Everybody is very poor right now, are they not?

Going to pelt silly men, women, children, poor, rich, dwarf, elf, cat, or human with pointless monies.

I do not mind the plugin I mind, the ''No refunds'' if a person has screenshot proof of how much money he had I see no reason not to give him his money.

what's the reasoning of some having 1 million minas?

Oh wait... it was given to them when the minas were reset...

Not everyone screenshots their minas, so only a handful of millionaires would be compensated. The only fair and balanced way to approach it is with a minas wipe. We've gone through a few wipes already and I've never heard of anyone being refunded unless it was through biased, backdoor handouts under the "good ole boy" system.

Actually it did happen before, and we refunded people.

I play for rp also. I do not play to win. When someone says that me getting all this minas is playing to win then your wrong. I've rped over the last 6-10 months acquiring minas and merchanting, buying, selling properties. My rp is surrounded around the minas system. Now its all gone, I either kill off the character or... I dont know.

  • The community is the one who really plays the game, so the community so at least have a say in one thing. When we have GM's going around and saying , "This is not a democracy, there will be no debate," why the hell should we even care slightly about the server then? We all want to contribute to its advancement but when GMs say things like this it hurts all of us.
  • Where is the fairness in players who decided to keep minas become rich, and they could before be very poor. Example of this, peasants become rich citizens and rich citizens revert back to peasants. I won't allow that.
  • We should wipe everyone's money, everyone starts at zero minas then we implement charters for money like we did before.
