Dear Shiftnative, I have a question about the characters we have currently and their future. Currently, I have two characters, Theodore Larvendale and Hydrose Goldhand, and I am currently playing Theodore so I can experience some new rp. But, I still want to play Hydrose and I'm worried if I don't play him during the transition that I will not be allowed to play him anymore. Can we rp our other characters without fling them in game to keep them alive in the transition. Thankyou

Right. So I was deliberating actually being the bearer of bad news here, but I fear these questions should be addressed else we still be in the dark about the future of LotC.

While I appreciate and am impressed by the quick work of creating the 2.5 and hastening of 3.0, we are clearing up an effect of the main issue, mainly the malicious and almost constant and regular DDoS of our servers. My question is, what is going to be done about the main issue? If the attacks persist, regardless of 3.0 or not, it will ultimately push players out of LotC as the attackers want. What are options we can explore? :(

I think the best thing to do for the staff is give an ETA on when 3.0 will actually get here. LoTC definitely could use rejuvenation and a fresh start after all the downtime and Asulon drama.
