After deliberation amongst the FM team, we've decided to unlock this thread to allow the continuation of discussion and feedback from the players regarding this change. I understand that most likely this will have no effect on the change but I firmly believe that silencing the complaints of players in such a way is counterproductive to the message they are trying to get across, which is "listen to us".

Keep in mind however that any troll images, flaming posts or rage will be unapproved and warnings will be issued. Let's discuss things in an adult-like manner.

If some of you disagree with the decisions taken, try to think about your reasons, and make them public in a less.. straight way. People tend to get hurt and offended easily, which leads to trouble.

I do think one of the players chosen does not deserve the promotion straight away. Not without being analyzed first. That's all I plan on saying, unless the situation forces me to speak up more.

This can only be for good... ... or so I hope...

She's a girl who've been sticking to the GM's and Admins like glue.

Like I said, BEFORE MY POST WAS EDITTED, I ponder the reality of her becoming a GM so easily without having some connections. Yes, she may be level headed and such, but I just see that due to the fact she is so new, she does not have the needed experience of the server to moderate the server and help it as much as a senior member could.

Edit: I know she is very liked, but just her newness to the server makes it feel like the veteran members would give her some questions that she won't be able to answer herself.

Rhia. I like the fact you submitted a GM app. But, I feel as if it is a favoritism throughout the GM team. Warn me for saying this but she hangs around just about every GM. Not sure how you cant see this as favoritism but without any of us being there personally, we cannot call it anything less then what it is from our stand point.

Dusk. Oh dusk. When I first met you, I have never heard of you. You were a GM and you were just building the menocress. When I came into the menocress with an ex-friend and joined the TS for the first time I heard just about how rude you were at the time. Sure ive heard rumors of you being rude, stubborn, and down right careless to most people in the community. I personally think you still dont care about us players but thats my personal opinion. I talked maybe for 3-4 seconds in TS, said a few words, and was greeted with some of the rudest and down right be-littling comments I have had like "Who is this kid that joined?" "We should kick him from the channel because he is not welcome." "Stupid people shouldn't be allowed in the menocress." Sorry but when you are greeted with such comments on TS. It shows how some of the players and some of the stuff you contributed on did not care. I came to join the mori a little later on but this time for some reason you changed. Sure you got nicer but I just did not feel like you cared about the players still. I never got to know you fully but from my own experience - You not doing any of -my- modreq's does not show enough dedication to the community.

Now I might not have proof for the accusations of this (mainly because the only people who could back me up is either banned or ive cut ties with them) I still have my own word. Choose to believe it or not that is up to you. My word means something to me. I personally think you were just fine as a GM. As an admin I cannot see any good coming from it when people posts some of the stuff they did against you on this thread and past threads made.

I just want to say that everything above is my own opinion. I do not have any proof but my own word. You can choose to believe it. No way is this trolly, be-littling of a person or saying someone should actually be demoted from there past position.

No qualms with these decisions, they can only benefit us.

Buuuuttt, in my very humble opinion, there is no need for claims such as 'We have listened to your voice' etc... because that really isn't the case, I don't recall any specific outcries from the server for new GM's, in fact I recall quite the opposite request, so please stop sugar coating all your decisions and just say that you chose who you did because...(real reasons go here).

Can I comment on all these favoritism claims etc. First I shall state that the following are my own views and may or may not represent the views of the entire GM team.

This is not favoritism in my most objective viewpoint I believe that Rhia is well qualified for the position. She is a nice, responsible, assertive and patient person. The GM team should not be accused of favoritism because we enjoy spending time with an individual, we enjoy spending time with Rhia because she fits the traits of a good GM.

Let me explain this in a diagram type thingy.

(Fits traits of a good GM) ----> (GMs like to spend time with her because of her traits) ------> (Is Promoted)

Just a small tip. Maybe the GMs should try to hide less in their locked channels on TS. If you have something imported to discuss players aren't supposed to know, then go ahead. If you just sit there and talk about Pokemon or how awesome The Walking Dead is (the answer is extremely awesome), then why not do it in an accessible channel.

I think part of the reason why Danny and Urasept are so popular is, because when they are on, they are usually available. You have a chance to get to know them without being super clingy or especially well liked by them.

How can a player who's been here 4 months be GM? 4 months does not indicate the amount of experience with the community they should have in order to be a GM. She is still new to the server.

The question is, why her when there are players interested and have been around a lot longer than she has and understand the community better?
