LOTC Lore Guide

In this guide, I am going to put links to lore pages on the history of Aegis and Asulon. This way instead of searching through cluttered subforums, you can find it all here!

Creation of Aegis and Asulon

The creation of Aegis and Asulon is one of the basics you need to know when joining the server. Ever wondered how each race came about or what in the world are Aenguls, Daemons, and Aerial? This lore will explain the races in more detail as well. Learn about the curses and blessing given to each race.

Availer, one of the first Admins of LOTC, created the lore page. You can also check it out at the wiki. Check out the links below for the creation lore.

Aegis Lore and the Rise of the Undead

New to the server and wondering what the whole Aegis thing was and how it developed and eventually ended. You can check out the server lore pertaining to the Undead attacks, Aegis itself, and the final assault on the Undead.

Early Wars with the Undead

The End of Aegis

Asulon Lore

Ever wonder about the transition from Aegis to Asulon? Below are links describing the events of Asulon and how the world your character lives in was found and developed.

Modern History of Asulon

The End of Iblees

Races of Asulon

Currently there are six official races of Asulon. There are a few minor ones such as Liches or the new Doomforges which are really not that possible to obtain unless your RP is really outstanding.

I believe as an applicant you can only apply for the four basic races, Elf, Dwarf, Human, or Orc, but I will provide links to the Wiki pages that have the lore for the races.

Human Lore

Elven Lore

Dwarven Lore

Orcish Lore

Mori'Quesser Lore

Kharajyr Lore

I hope you guys have an easier time finding server lore and you have an easier time writing correct application lore-wise. I want this guide of sorts to allow new players to easily navigate to lore and I think it might just do that. Enjoy the long lore reads!

This is in the high elven subforum per special request.

Why in the WORLD should this be in the High Elf forum? This is a guide for server applicants, server applicants don't look here.

An FM asked me to post it here because some High Elf guy requested it. I am confused by why they wanted it here either. Don't ask me, all questions can be directed to firespirit44.

You might want to remove the end of Iblees, it's not very acurate and only a legend on a book.

I am just going to leave it how it is. When I originally wrote it up in the Application Guides, it was accepted by a Lore Master.

It is a good guide, although things do change slightly. And this will allow easier access to already existing members of the forums to access the wiki.

A subtle hint from Dio that our average lore knowledge is lacking?

I am not sure why we have migrated lore discussion to High Elven land, but a hearty welcome one and all! There's tea and crumpets in the back, please do not discuss lore and chew at the same time (looking at you, dwarvies)

Are you sure the "high elf guy" meant this topic specifically? I remember Dio asking why the big high-elf-guide by AspectGC wasn't stickied in the sub-forum.

The reason for this thread having been moved to our sub-forum was as firespirit44 stated, because the most essential lores and histories are linked in it and that knowledge can never have too much exposure. If someone looking for High Fantasy roleplay decides to go straight to researching a race they like on these forums then the Sticky topics are likely to be looked at. Sure it's inconsistent but anyone thinking of taking up a High Elf might benefit from having this guide not surrounded by a dozen others. Once AspectCG reposts her compilation thread for High Elves we can get that turned into a Sticky and we're good to go! Thanks to Wizard too for the plunge.
