Bili Hollowmead

-Humble Beginnings-

Bili Hollowmead was born in the year 30 to Rill Hollowmead, in the town of Branborough. His mother, a Halfling by the name of Sandy, unfortunately passed away during childbirth. Bili, however, was born a healthy child. He was not overweight, he was not underweight, and he was rarely sick.

Bili grew under the care of his loving father, who taught him all he needed to know about life in the Vale. He was taught not to steal from the storage burrow, as that would "Leave ye in nothin' bu' trouble, little Bili!" Rill always said. He was also taught not to swim in the Tookwater River, as "Tha' 'll ge' ye eaten, little Bili!" Bili ignored this, and often swam in the shallow parts of the river. No trouble ever came out of it, besides a few muddy clothes that needed washing. Most importantly, Bili was taught kindness from his father. This element of life would give him many more opportunities later, rather than lead him into the darkness of evil.

Bili had a knack for being curious in his childhood. He would often look through open doors, only to be chased out directly after with a broom and an angry Halfling. On one occasion, he climbed into a tree to rescue a bird. It ended with him travelling to the Cloud Temple in his father's arms, needing his broken wrist repaired.

Through time, Bili went from a curious youngin', to an energetic young man. As he was one of the only teenagers in the Vale, he was required to be a helping hand to those in need. Bili was an able-bodied assistant, on and off through his teenage years. This gave him much-needed experience, later in life.

It is no surprise, as curious as he was, that he simply goggled over a Halfling a few years older than him. Her name was Roxanne Littleknight, and she would later become the apple of his eye.

-A Man, Through Age-

At the age of 18, Bili began to search for work in Branborough. He applied as Deputy for Sheriff Lobo, and even considered working at the Drunken Sheep as a brewer. This job did not turn out, but he was often a customer to Belba the Brewmaiden.

Bili had a shock when he received information that Rill, his father, was eaten by wolves. Bili went through a stage of depression, but quickly recovered as he gained the friendship of two Halflings, Bren Brownbelly and Gaeleg Frondor. They would join each other in fishing contests, small adventures, and drinks at the Drunken Sheep.

Bili acquired the friendship of an odd man, by the name of Kore. Kore was often working on a project, purifying water. Bili was assigned to collect water from different places around Asulon, which proved to be his biggest adventure yet. He collected water from Haelun'or, where he was partially dissected by a High Elf named Lucion Sullas. Luckily, Bili is not aware that this happened, or he would probably die of fright. Bili's other assignments included collecting water from Menorcress and Salvus.

Bili, at the age of 19, was accepted by Sheriff Lobo to be the Deputy of Branborough. He makes a habit of patrolling the Vale, and keeping peace. On one occasion, he discovered that a rabbit was destroying one of the gardens in the Vale. The situation is still being investigated.

Bili lived peacefully in Branborough, serving as Deputy to his full extent for a few months, until once again, mischief occurred. While journeying to the lands of Salvus, Bili encountered a curious being who haunted him in a church. The monster, which chased him out of the cathedral, grabbed Bili and threatened to push him over the edge of a cliff. It rambled on about a stolen necklace, which Bili had only seen once, before a mysterious archer shot an arrow of flame towards the creature. It shrieked, before running off into the darkness of Salvus' streets.

This archer turned out to be an Elven woman by the name of Lorial, who was somehow linked to the necklace that this monster spoke of. It happened to be her father, Dedamara's, in fact. Lorial and Bili had to venture to the mountains surrounding the Cloud Temple for safety, when an apparition of Dedamara came and rid the world of the awful beast that haunted them.

Once more, after that, peace returned to Bili's life, just the way he had liked it.

-A Different Sort of Adventure-

Throughout his early 20's of his life, Bili often spent much time with the sought-after Roxanne, and wished to marry her. Due to his family's traditions, however, this would take quite a long time. The Hollowmeads tend to take years to woo a fellow Halfling into marriage. Following the tradition, Bili often took Roxanne on dates and get-togethers, where they would get to know each other and become closer.

Bili's most memorable was that date of their first kiss, in which they traveled south of Branborough's Darkwood Forest, to the wondrous and beautiful Hollowmead Lake. This was named after Bili's father, Rill, found it many years previously, at the discovery of the Vale. Roxanne and Bili laid in the tall, wispy grass, and spoke of many things concerning love, life and even the politics of Branborough. After many hours of time together, they watched the sun rise above the lake, and kissed for the first time.

Just weeks later, Bili Hollowmead proposed to young Roxanne right after a grand festival in the town, to which she agreed. This altogether led to a rivalry between town Elder Tibb Fairfield, who also had caught a liking to Roxanne, but that will be addressed later. Although it took four years of organization, procrastination, fear, nervousness, and many other strange emotions, the marriage of Bili and Roxanne came to be, led by the great Aris Snowbird, one of the most renowned Halfling craftsmen in the history of Hobbits.

One such case of a problem in the relationship occurred about two years before the marriage, when Elder Faldo Featherfoot and Sheriff Lobo Underhill staged the act of Roxanne cheating on Bili with Tibb. This nearly undermined Bili's love for Roxanne, but after a few months of hardship, trust was rebuilt between Roxanne and Bili. Since then, disagreements and strife have been lacking in the marriage.

-Bili and Tibb, a Rivalry-

Elder Tibb Fairfield did not appreciate the fact that Bili was in a relationship with Roxanne from its very start, for she was the girl that Tibb planned to marry. Much of the feuds between Bili and Tibb started because of this, and some of them would lead to destruction.

The first few times Tibb and Bili argued over Roxanne, it was virtually harmless. They just spoke to each other, and made their points clear. But eventually, it grew into a malicious and hateful war between the two, Tibb being backed up by the Elders and the Sheriff, while Bili was backed up by the townsfolk. The first real fight they had was when Tibb spoke of his fiendish, immoral thoughts with the woman. It resulted in Bili punching him straight in the jaw, knocking the bearded Elder out. Directly after, Bili was also knocked unconscious by Sheriff Lobo's shovel. When they awoke, both of the Halflings were fine, but still disliked each other greatly.

Years of this constant pestering happened, until a final event shook Bili's lifestyle. Whilst patrolling the town one warm eve, Bili was approached by Elder Faldo, who was wielding a dastardly knife. Frightened, Bili ran and ran, being chased by the estranged Halfling (who was under the influence of a strong breed of pipeweed), into the great party tree of Branborough. Bili climbed his way to the top, and successfully hid from Faldo. On his way back down the tree, however, Faldo caught sight of Bili, frightened him, and Bili fell the great height down. An extreme fracture in Bili's leg rendered him relatively useless for nearly a year, where he had to stay inside of the Cloud Temple for the entirety of the time. Once back, much of the drama between Bili, Faldo, and Tibb calmed. Since then, little has been argued over the beautiful Roxanne.

-Resignation-

After all of these complexities occurred with the Elders, Bili Hollowmead decided to resign from the position of Deputy in town. With all of the recent happenings, he made the choice that continuing to be in such a demanding position would just add more leverage to oncoming incidents. Avoiding that entirely, he quit the job, and has since then taken on the job of volunteering and befriending those around the Vale.
