My trustworthiness I believe is exemplified in that over the past few weeks I have been talking with many people on how to bring Malinor out of its current period of destitution. Why do you feel you are suited for Job Choice 1: I am a strict adherent to the Teachings of Malin. I accept that the peoples of other nations have their own customs and beliefs, and I respect them. I am not a man who judges others based on their national or racial affiliation. I am not violent, I am not brash, I am not overconfident. I am a man of consideration and reason. For all of these reasons I am open to all ideas on events, and already have several plans.

Well, I usually do not get a lot of RP due to my character having little reason to even bother to socialise and talk to anyone unless the direst of needs come to light. Most of the time this leaves me either in my tower on my own doing the wizard thing (which gets boring after a long while) or walking around hoping to bump into a series of events that my character can actually take part in (due to the fact that so much RP is now done by cliques which makes it extremely difficult to get involved in RP. to the point that I have been told to go away by some cliques sometimes which kinda sucks. so that's kinda why I wanted to try and get involved in a group I actually like).

I was the speaker for Shoi in political matters back in Aegis when she wasn't feeling too good and was a little too busy to go out and do all this nonsense RP and faffing around. So, instead, I went out in her stead as a sort of Ascended PR man. Unlike most who play "wise" characters my advise can carry proper wisdom when need. And I am well learned in such things as social economics, psychology, public relations, customer support and among other things that I have learnt over the course of 5 years when I was doing my CISCO systems courses.

Why do you feel you are suited for Job Choice 1:  I feel as though I'm capable of handling the job occupation of Event Coordinator for the reason that: When I'm not busy, which is most of the time, ideas spark into my head though are unreachable due to a lack of supplies, or even help at times. I also feel that my active efforts to attract more citizens and attention to Malinor would be highly successful if I'm given the materials and other resources, or even land, needed to complete such nation-wide events.  Rather than working in the field to defend citizens with my own life at risk, seeing as I'm already reaching five centuries of age, I'd prefer working on 'the other side of the wall' with raising the moral of citizens during dark times of Malinor. Concluding this, I've collaborated with other individuals in several tasks, whether it be merchanting, or even defending Leumaelin's walls.

((Why, as a player, do you wish to join the high council?)): I do a fair amount for Malinor, running a bookshop and writing the Flagship, as well as participating in its defense, but I feel like I can do a lot more good as a Prince of Malinor.

 

Do you have any work experience, if so where and what: I was a Prince of Malinor during Aegis. I was the Okarir’Acaln of Haelun’or during the early days of Asulon, basically the leader of trade. In Kalos, as Treasurer, I built a large portion of the settlement. I owned three moderately successful taverns in Aegis. I also owned a string of stores in Malinor and Oren that sold iron and foodstuffs. I now own a bookshop in Leumaelin, which grosses about 600 minas an Elven week.

 

What is your opinion on the unification of the Mali?: Unification should only happen if a plurality of both sides, being Malinor and Haelun’or, support it. Obviously, I would support unification, however, I do not want to force people into something that they do not want to do, especially if there is a history of conflict.

Express why you are suitable to be a Prince/Princess of Malinor: I have more experience in Elven politics than anyone else you will find. I care deeply for Malinor, as shown by my standing by it in its time of trouble while others fled.

 

State your history of leadership or political role and how that experience benefits your leadership/political skills: I was a Prince of Malinor in late Aegis. In that capacity I was in charge of making certain that the Wardens disbanded, selling, maintaining, and keeping track of housing, and suggesting new members for the High Council. During my time we added Sythra and Haelphon to the High Council at my suggestion. I stepped down when we reached to server as Okarir’Acaln of the fledgling city of Haelun’or, where I felt I was needed more. I was charged with obtaining certain supplies such as dye for wool so that we could complete Haelun’or. I left Haelun’or when the Ellir began to pass discriminatory reforms targeting “impure” High Elves. In Kalos, I served as Treasurer of Malinor, growing the treasury from 600 minas to 10000 by selling shops in the bustling market that I constructed in my spare time will building and organizing housing for our growing number of residents. At one point, we have 65 Mali placed in houses in Kalos. I resigned my position as Treasurer due to the implementation of the Malins economic reform during a brief trip, and warned that it would only further damage Malinor’s failing economy. I was correct, and it has taken years to reverse the damage caused.

 

Explain how the high council works in detail: The High Council only works efficiently when multiple members work together. It is very hard to get something done yourself, however, if you cooperate with other members of the High Council and other citizens of Malinor, you are able to incorporate other people’s ideas and get better results from each project. For example, when I was Treasurer, I worked with Kaun and Titania on drafting a plan to manage the labor system of Malinor, and after making sure that it was acceptable to all of us, it was implemented and worked quite well until alterations were made to accommodate the Malins system. As far as the mechanics of things, a lot has changed since I was on the High Council, and obviously decision making would be handled differently. I am sure that information can be learned on the job, however.

 When the server
was just starting up, I actually was the first diplomat/ambassador for
Malinor.  At first this meant a lot of
setup both OOC and IC with ShiftNative to develop the position to what we
wanted it to be. Through this I think we developed a system that was both
efficient and helped represent Malinor in the best possible way.

I played for the first year the server was up.
Unfortunately after that college got pretty hard so I had to drop most of my
time I played. However, with summer and my next year’s schedule I should have a

I wish to join the lower council because when I was Ambassador in Aegis and Asulon, I met some great RP'ers and had some of the greatest RP I ever experienced. Additionally, I believe that through these experiences that I was not only able to positively represent Malinor but also benefit Malinor through my experiences as Ambassador.

I was the first diplomat of Malinor when we first
arrived in Aegis. I served as the first and only diplomat of Malinor for
several years before getting permission to expand the Diplomatic Corps. With
the Diplomacy Corps expanded I served as Head Diplomat for a time before being
chosen to serve on the High Council as a Prince of Malinor. I then served as a
Prince of Malinor from Aegis and the transition to Asulon. In Asulon I was
still the primary diplomat as well as taking on my Princely duties. For the
sake of the application I will leave out specifics, but if you wish for them,
simplyw rite for them or ask for them and I will be happy to provide them.

Why do you feel you are suited for Job Choice 1:

 

As stated before, I was the first diplomat of Malinor
and before leaving to travel, I stayed in that position as Diplomat, Head
Diplomat and Prince. During my time I brokered peace between Malinor and the
Orcs when raids were being committed back and forth. As a result, we were
allies from that time on until the Fall of Aegis. After arriving in Asulon I
still served as Diplomat while on the High Council, however, this position was
much reduced due to the fact that Malinor was much an isolationist state during
that time. However, given the current set of circumstances, it is evident that
the Ambassador of Malinor is once again a needed and vital position for someone
up to the task.

 

If applicable, why do you feel you are suitable for Job Choice 2:

 

Under High Princess Sythra Duskwind, I helped to build the first
college in Normandor when the Elves lived in Asulon. After serving as the
Headmaster of the College, for a short time, I passed the title to Dante Flormai
and continued to help him set up classes and seminars for a short time before
leaving on my travels.

Reading over the duties of the Steward, it seems that many of the
duties and responsibilities were the same I was responsible for as Prince.
Assuming I was not chosen for Ambassador or Headmaster, I feel that I could

((Can we trust you to take your job seriously and contribute?)): I will contribute many hours each week to elven roleplay. I have been trying to rp on my character for so long but rarely find one on during my hours.

((How long have you been on the server?)): 8 months

((Why, as a player, do you wish to join the high council?)): I want to create role play and be a contributor to the elven community. I have developed my elf for months, and I want to actually be in the community more of a leader in my timezone, to make Elven RP a 24 hour a day thing.

Do you have any work experience, if so where and what: I own business's all over Anthos, from the Kingdom of Urguan, to Salvus and Baile. I have no experience but I am an Elf the commoners can look to and respect for not being born to high blood or title. I have fought in several war for the protection of my fellow Mali. 

What is your opinion on the unification of the Mali?: I feel the best way for the Mali is too survive and flourish. It is my most major concern about large amounts of Mali leaving the lands for Human lands. I feel our nation is a great nation, but we need to better diversify our leadership, so we don't continue to see our populations shrink. Our military would be weak apart, this is the main reason we have to be united as one entity and make our nation honestly equal.

Express why you are suitable to be a Prince/Princess of Malinor: I will be a Prince that the Elves can relate to, I will be there for them and they can rely on me to bring us to a new era of peace and prosperity. I am not a noble or born to a known family, I can relate to the common Elves of Malinor. I have now come to my senses and instead of violence I am seeking peace by being a diplomat for the Wood Elven people. Combat had turned my heart to coal, now I am trying to restablish myself for a sane solution for peace in our Nation, so we can be one in honor, and representation.

State your history of leadership or political role and how that experience benefits your leadership/political skills: I am a proclaimed advocate for Wood Elven re-settlement in Malinor, to bring us back to our home. I want to see the city of my birth flourish like it did before the brutal war. 

Explain how the high council works in detail: The high council is a group dedicated for the advancement of the people of Malinor. It is the law making body, and heads of state. They make sure that the peace is kept at in any way they can. They try to solve things with diplomacy not conflict.
