I love World Painter - so much you can do with so little effort.  Custom bo2s, pockets of ice in snowy areas... Can't wait to see the results, as good World Painter maps are far too rare!  ^.^

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised =]

actually, not really. The issue is that 3.0 has been almost obtainable for months now, since November. I was excited then. And then when the map pf Asulon went poof, I was excited because surely the staff would release 3.0 soon. But no go. So we have been told that 3.0 will be "soon"  for quite awhile now. After so long the excitement level diminishes and the response becomes. "oh they're releasing it soon? Probably in a another month or so." *shrug*

I do look forward to having a permanent map again, however. And the possible return of my main char. And the builds look fantastic. But really, I'm just tired of the wait. I'll be excited the day 3.0 actually is released.

Trust me when I say that the wait is 9000% worth it.

I might have to find some time to squeeze LotC back in for this. Is there anyone kind enough to share a link of "Lore Wrap Up" over the past half a year.

Then I will get my application on the way......

I am planning on having that inexperienced mage that cannot use magic and is extremely disorganized [for every fantasy roleplay needs that :P]

My word, people! 3.0 is being kept secret, because we want it to be a surprise! You don't open the present before Christmas, so don't try rushing 3.0 before it's released. And trust me when I say that the wait is worth it.

I personally am excited for 3.0. I have a lot of character developments and other fun stuff i would love to do when we are finally on a map that isnt temporary.

And i can guarantee 90% of the people crying about 3.0 taking so long will whine about any flaws caused because the build and dev team felt rushed.

Well, obviously, someone was never a child....

JK

But, seriously, you never opened your gifts early?

I understand we've been waiting for a while, but the people building Anthos are making sure this will be the best map possible for roleplaying. Waiting after a few months is hard, I know, but we shouldn't be disappointed its taking so long. We should be happy they are building us a world, and probably an epic one at that. Patience is a virtue.

3.0 is amazing people.  You will soon forget your issues because you had to wait longer while the GMs and Admins worked hard for you to have a completely thought out map perfect to encourage RP.  The Builders worked to create amazing structures and even consulted with each other to create perfect RP hot spots.  All of this was done to give you, the player base, a place to relieve stress from IRL and just have fun.   Which is what we should be doing.

Don't get so worked up because we took our time on a map.  The wait is worth the reward.  Media team is working to give you a taste for what is to come and we hope you will love it.  I know you hate the word but, Soon people :)

I sense much confusion in the difference between "secrets" and "surprises". The staff and builders are keeping most information closed as it creates more of a surprise, as well as gives them some more breathing room. If they were to update you every step of the way, imagine how some of you would react. It's bad enough you are all already wanting this due date to be rushed, but, could you imagine if you saw everything we had worked on. Upon first glance, the mass of people would be shouting in the status sections "The map looks ready to me. Just release it". Rather than acting on impulse, and moaning about the "overdue" release of the map, take a quick second to think of the thought, and work put in. Odds are, given all the brainstorming and ideas spoken about this map, the staff have decided to go about this the way they have, for just reasons.
