You come across a massive ruin of ancient design, strange sounds and lights emanate from within.
 
Nathaniel notices faint wails coming from the distance. He turned to towards the source and see lights glistening from inside what seems to be a ruin. He picks up a piece of dry wood from the floor and lits it with some flint and tinder.
"Ah that should do it."
He holds the torch ahead of him and moves towards the ruin, carefully looking out for what could be a trap. As he approached the entrance of the ruin he begins to sense that magic guards this place.
"This is not a place to come to alone." "I must fetch the others, they will know how to handle this properly."
He places the torch down and marks the location of the ruin in his notebook. Nathaniel puts the notebook in his pocket, picks up the torch and starts walking to get the assistance of the Delvers and Mageshieds.
 
While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".
 
Nathaniel, slowly moves closer to the hooded figures and orders another drink to not look obvious. He gets out his notebook and begins to write down anything he thinks is important about this 'artifact'. 
After a few hours and a couple of drinks Nathaniel sits up and leaves the pub. 
"This should be enough information, lets see what the others think about this."
He then secures his sword and begins walking out of the town towards the other Delvers.
 
Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer.
 
Nathaniel pulls out his sword and walks towards the hooded figure. He places his hand on his shoulder and turns him so they face each other.
"Leave this man alone, and walk away."
The masked man looks at Nathaniel confused "Do you not care that this man is a necromancer? He must be eliminated"
Nathaniel pushes the man away from the accused necromancer.
"I do not care what magic he possesses, I am sworn to protect all users of magic and that is what I will do ."
Nathaniel leaps towards the masked figure and looks back at the hooded man.
"Get to safety I'll keep him of until you are a safe distance."
Nathaniel tries his best to stop the masked mans opportunity to end the necromancers life. 
He looks back and see's that the necromancer is a safe distance away and that there is no way the masked man could catch up. He picks up the sword and brings the hilt of his blade down on the man knocking him out. He pulls out some rope and binds his hands so that all will know he has done a misdeed.
"That should keep him for awhile. "
Nathaniel cleans himself of and walks in the direction of the necromancer to ensure that he has done his duty and protected a magic user

You come across a massive ruin of ancient design, strange sounds and lights emanate from within.: I Investigate, finding the entrance I walk in, Taking notes as I go along. I see an orb. I take about six pages of notes on it, Its Shape, size, assumptions and other things. I would take my findings to the delvers.
 
While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".: I decide To investigate as always, I approach cautiously. I say to one of them , "Wha's this bout' an artifact?" They hush me and tell me to go away. Yet again I tell the Delvers about this, as this might cause some concern.
 
Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer.: I take the threat seriously and walk away, to the delvers, as Necromancers can be quite dangerous.

You come across a massive ruin of ancient design, strange sounds and lights emanate from within.
 
I slowly walk up to it, while examine it with taking precaution. And finally enter inside to find a portal to a hellish wasteland, then I would return to the base to tell my other brethren of my discovery.   
 
While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".
I walk over and take a seat next to one and try to eavesdrop on the conversation, then one of the men spotted one of their eavesdropper and move to another seat. I would get up and ask them, "What is this artifact you two are talking about?"
"None of your business."
" I would pay some sums of minas to obtain the information." While flushing the bag of coins.
"Alright , the artifact is located on the south east coast in a cove."
"Thank you for the information." Then I walk out to investigate.

"So what even if you ask him, you still won't turn a dead woman into a undead. Because that is against that code." " You should do that experiment on dead animals."
The other man put down his sword and I took the Necromancer to the council.

"All, I seek all. Back when I was a boy I didn't get to explore the world much. Just stayed home with over-protective family. So, I haven't seen much of the world, except Salvus. As for companionship, I didn't have much as a boy. My family was stern and didn't seem to have much emotion. They just went to work, come back, eat, drink, sleep, repeat. Plus, I was an only child, so I was lonely. It would be nice to have buddies I can talk to and share stories with."

You come across a massive ruin of ancient design, strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

 

Queshawn strays from the road, descending aimlessly through the thick foliage. As he does, through some trees he can see a stone what he thinks is a boulder. Queshawn inches closer. Closer, and closer. With each step, he can hear faint sounds that grow loader. Louder, and louder. It sounds like the grumbles of some sort of large creatures. He crouches behind a tree and peers around. Queshawn sees light. Light that fluctuates between different levels of brightness. The lights remind Queshawn of when he used to sit home by his fireplace at night. The lights emanating of from within this structure seemed to set the same serene mood. Queshawn watches the lights, his shoulders droop and his breathing slows dawn, along with his heart rate. He sits down for a moment. Minutes pass, the starry night sky sets the mood as well. Then, Queshawn gets up. He continues to approach the structure. He hears heavy footsteps getting louder, audible echoes are heard from the entrance of the structure... he stands still, not moving a muscle. As a large hooded figure emerges, Queshawn quickly takes cover behind a thick tree. The large hooded figure breathes through his nose. It sounds like a cow taking a deep breath. Queshawn knows that this is an Orc. The Orc walks along side of the walls of the ruins, running his fingers along the ancient looking chiseled stone. The Orc is now still. He continues to take deep breaths of the fresh air. Queshawn's breaths become shaky, showing obvious fear. During one of those breaths, he breathes in but swallows some saliva. This causes him to choke on his spit and cough. Queshawn looks up after coughing and sees the Orc looking at him. The Orc pulls out a short sword. Which to the Orc was a dagger, in comparison. "Yub! Git ut ob 'ere!" the Orc shouts. Queshawn quickly runs out of the area, through trees and brush. He finally makes it to the road again, but continues to run. He begins to walk up the steep path in front of the Salvian gates. As people converse in the square, he looks around. Queshawn does not talk about this to anyone.

Queshawn steps into a local bar. He sees two hooded figures as he sits down. He sees them whispering. So, he moves a seat over. He tries to make out what they are saying when... "Welcome, lookin' for a drink?" the bartender asks. "Oh! Eh, yeah. Just give me whatever's good." The bartender looks at Queshawn funny and gives Queshawn some fruity drink. Queshawn hands him the minas for it, he also hears the word, "Artifact," from the corner. He peers around his shoulder for a second, then goes back to his drink. Queshawn is not the nosy kind of person. Plus, he doesn't seem to be interested.

Queshawn is walking down Anthos highway to Abresi. He sees a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer. Queshawn sighs. He turns around and starts heading back to Salvus. When he arrives, he tells a Shield what happened. The Shield pretends to be the incident by rushing into the castle quickly. But he doesn't report anything and walks around in the courtyard, near the sandpit. Queshawn leisurely walks to a bar, walks in, and sits down. He has a drink and leaves. He continues his search for a job in the area.

Hera walks through Ac'Talarah, smiling as the delvers wander about. The base seems to be flowing with prosperity and livelihood. The delvers are busier than ever researching and growing their magical talents.

 

As the Regent of Force, her newly appointed title, walks about something causes her to pause in her tracks. Standing where it has always been is the pillar. That ominous pillar that sits in the heart of the base. Something draws her closer to it.

 

A whisper

 

A breeze

 

Soon she finds herself right next to the pillar. She examines a total of 6 solid cracks on the magegold binding around the pillar. Her gaze drifts to the floor noticing a couple of the darkened skulls missing.

 

With a sudden intensity a violent storm of fear encroaches on her mind. Hera clasps her head as she falls back away from the pillar into a seated position. For a second all she could think of was the fear. However another thought grew in her head. She had heard something... Something whispered maybe or even hummed. 

 

"Ten"

 

She thought the word to herself... Ten. Ten. Ten.

 

In a burst of distraught her hand comes up to cover an audible gasp. Six cracks. missing skulls. Ten. Simple math would lead her to the number four. Motivation swept over her as she picked herself up and rounded the pillar counting the remaining darkened skulls. Backing up and tugging at her chest Hera muttered a single word...

 

"Four"

 

 

 

((For those of you who don't know I will tell you what we have experienced recently. 

 

  • A couple different types of ghosts visited and seemed to cause the apparition pillar to grow more unstable after the spirits were consumed by it.
  • A water imp is still running a muck in the base
  • The delvers reformed into a fantasy type guild instead of a military type
  • Mutant chicken attacked
  • Harpies have been seen roosting in the mountains near Ac'Talarah and one was killed by the delvers))

Gauldrim Irongut runs around like a headless chicken 

"T'ere was a blasted water Imp! We didn't git it but we got it outta teh base! And I'm wet and want hot milk but. . ." his voice trails off

Gauldrim leaves a note on Hera's desk about the occurrence and waddles out continuing to mutter.

"Too many things happen in this world, but this is the most I have experienced in my life..."

Pushing his sword back in the scabbard before resting himself on the wall slowly shutting his eyes.

"Stuck with the icky situations again..."

All applying will be apply for the applicant position. However should you pass that stage what profession might you take on? Note that if you want to learn magic you must speak to a Delver Arcanist personally:

Few years of training, but ive been told im excelent at it. Although i find that hard to beleive. My weapon of choice is my longsword, It does not require a lot of skill to use.

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,
strange sounds and lights emanate from within.


 I like to stay on the safe side of things. I would probably first explore the outside, Check for extra exits or entrances. If the ruin had more than one entrance, i would proceduraly start going in one room at a time at the seemingly safest entrance. After exploring it i would probably stumble upon something i dont understand (yet) and sketch it. I would then bring the sketch to someone i know has knowledge about it and make him tell me what he thinks of it. Assuming he has information i would  go and try and think of a use for it, or just write down the knowldege it contains. However if the dungeon turns out to be dangerous, i would seek assitance.

Asuming the hooded figures were not armed i would walk to them and ask them about it. People ussaly want to keep that information for themselves, so i usually follow them around, listen to them. 

a lot of times they slip up and tell the information, and then i  would simply follow the hunches. Depending on the artifacts properties, i would either take it, and study it in private, or sketch it while keeping a safe distance. Then write down my findings in my journal.

Well, if he were to attack me, i would defend myself. but i doubt a actual necromancer would go around and yell "Im a necromancer! Fear me!". More of a common theif, trying to threaten the simple and saddly gullable people. But being a kind hearted fool i am, i would try and stop him.  But let's say he summoned a undead to attack me. I would immediately try and memorise anything about him. If a finger is missing, or the collors of his robes or anything, and run away. I would then report  him to someone who knows how to handle such forms of magic. However i would still watch the battle (or arrest, or however you deal with such a person.)
