The Arcane Delvers

Before the ruin gates of Ac'talareh, a mangled corpse of a blonde-headed Mali lays in a bloodied heap. He dons the Delver uniform, and despite the wounds, the identity of this poor Elf is somewhat ledgible -- the corpse belongs to Almecki, the Laurir of Leumalin.

Within his clammy, bloodied grasp is a note. Should one garner the courage to knick it from the carcass' grip, it would read the following:

"An eye for an eye."

Upon finding the body at the gates, Cyrus is filled with disgust. He looks upon the body for a moment, but does not recognize its tattered visage.

 

He exclaims "By the Gods, who did what this time! Mr Camoryn! You need to see this!"

I wish to join the Delvers to advance both my own research, as well as the Delver's. I may be able to do so through the use of my magic and explaining the unexplained so far. I am interested in what the world has to offer and I believe the Delvers to be just the place for my to increase my knowledge.

I believe a delve would be to go within a place to search for valuable items, such as an artifact within an abandoned ruin. These would be a sort of archaeological search for anything of use, or past value that can immerse the finder in some sort of knowledge, if not the guild entirely. 

 

If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do?

 

The artifact would give me the ability to access any knowledge of the world, within bounds. It would allow me to view what I wish to view, but not overpower me with so much knowledge that I would not be able to understand or be unable to comprehend anything as if overflowed with knowledge.
