Crimes Against Silver Peace

 Share

Recommended Posts

A public message is posted throughout Leumaelin, as well as upon the gate of Lin'evaral. It reads:

Z3iOAVg.png

Citizens of Malinor and Children of Malin,

The former Highguard Sentinel Benedict Aves has been arrested and detained for the attempted burning of the Lin'evaral farms. He shall be given a trial and properly sentenced for his actions.

Let this be a message to those who retain bitter grudges and hatred to the Mali'aheral. The High Council has agreed that the laws of Malinor protect not only the Mali within Malinor, but also our cousins of Lin'evaral. They shall be protected by our law, and so any violent or destructive crimes directed to them by a citizen of Malinor shall be dealt with as though the victim of the crime was Malinor herself. They shall be considered as having attempted to commit political espionage and provoke hostilities between Malinor and Haelun'or.

We will maintain Silver Peace.

As he sees the post marked behind him and finally reading it, he does not but mumble.

- But again, for how long?

Lelien raises an eyebrow as she sees the message.

"And yet this law has been in place for long enough, and now they decide to follow it?"

She scoffs. "Perhaps my wish is finally being fulfilled."

((Does the player who plays Benedict have the VA that allows him to commit arson, that being 1c, so that he COULD'VE burned the Lin'evaral farms? If not, then you should report this rule-breaking to a VA/GM so that punishment could go out accordingly. Just wish to know, for curiosity's sake ^w^))

Hiylu walks towards the gate of Lin'evaral, then sees the note. Upon the discovery of aforementioned notice, she takes it down momentarily to read what it says. A small, yet wicked smile forms upon her lips as she continues to read it. She then puts it back, the gate now opened, and walks inside, thinking: 'So the mali'ame aren't so ikru after all.'

((He actually wasn't going to burn the farms down. Few are aware - either in character or out of his true motives.))

Serva scans the note over briefly and murmurs to himself. "My apologies for notnunderstanding what we have just now implemented as a system of 'justice.'"

* Faolin reads briefly over the post and frowns. "Senitel Aves?" He mutters to himself. "There must be some explanation....."

Benedict approaches the ancient remains of one of said fliers, a malicious smile across his face,

"I didn't try to burn it down then... In fact, I was helping the mali'aheral... Now, I think I might just make this false accusation true." He mutters. Stomping out the paper into a wrinkly mess, he tears it beneath his boot before stepping away,
"Lin'everal and its allies will know the consequences of trifling the name Benedict Aves." He waltz's off as though nothing happened, a steely glaze over his blinded right eye.

Ebs laughs, "He doesn't even know we changed the name."
