TornadoWatch 364 Share Posted July 7, 2013 As much as I am not delegating on the Nation Mines, if you are speaking of Hanseti, we can put one up and you can expect the antagonist to rain hell on such a parade  Come at me, bro. I'm waiting on one thing to ruin the antag's day.
Samson Option 9652 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Come at me, bro. I'm waiting on one thing to ruin the antag's day. Oh now you are sounding competitive, before you raged... Very well, but the Pink Cloud ain't going to roll in this hood mate ;)
Silevon 497 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I believe I mentioned this earlier, but no worries. Essentially, it promotes trade. Humans need iron and hardened stained clay (cause it will kill the wool house epidemic), but I would not give them both. Since other Nations also have iron but not clay, we decided that it would be more fair if Humans did not have it. As was mentioned earlier, Nations were not given what they were given because they wanted it or needed it, they were given a mix of what they need and what they don't need. I would not be creating such a fuss if the Humans did not have such a useless ore, and the smallest player base of all Anthos was given the most important. TornadoWatch 364 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Oh now you are sounding competitive, before you raged... Very well, but the Pink Cloud ain't going to roll in this hood mate ;) I'm not Mirtok m8. Back on topic: Iron is monopolized now by one of the smallest playerbases and a playerbase in direct opposition to another. And the biggest playerbase gets a total of: Clay (No one cares) Coal (Charcoal is a thing) Redstone (Yay, I guess.) The dwarves got a sweet deal. I'd be totally fine if they had a unique goal mine, but giving them 3/4 useful resources does not bode well when humanity gets borderline nothing good.
Alan 1815 Author Share Posted July 7, 2013 Clay is absolutely useless. When turned into brick it makes buildings too modern. Why not give humans an iron mine too? As Hunwald said we have one of the largest mountain ranges in Anthos. 1.6 means hardened stained clay. Also, refer to my response to Hunwald about the iron mine. Samson Option 9652 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Also note that the Humans are capable of pimping out the public mine and typically do so anyways.
Praetor 1550 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I'm not Mirtok m8. Back on topic: Iron is monopolized now by one of the smallest playerbases and a playerbase in direct opposition to another. That means the small playerbase might get a little bit of the spotlight and can become a little more important and possibly grow. And if they're in direct opposition to you, try diplomacy, chumming up to them and getting some economical ties and trade routes back.

Silevon 497 Share Posted July 7, 2013 That means the small playerbase might get a little bit of the spotlight and can become a little more important and possibly grow. Isn't the Kharajyr player base meant to stay small? It doesn't need a "spotlight" because everyone already knows what they are, what they do, and the type of RP they offer. TornadoWatch 364 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Establishing trade with a group we're at war with and who we don't like and vice-versa... I'm pretty sure this might actually end up having an undesirable effect, like I keep telling you. >_> Anyway, I'm glad to here that we're getting shiny hardened clay. Will clay swords and armor be an equipment option? Can I dye it pink? Should we go ahead and rip out wool from our walls and replace it with said clay?
Temp 2006 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I would still leave warring metals in neutral territories. It presents some pretty big issue down the line, but.. oh well. Countdown until Kha invasion, I guess.

It doesn't need a "spotlight" because everyone already knows what they are, what they do, and the type of RP they offer. They have no fixed player limit and could grow if they want. And why wouldn't it need a spotlight? A spotlight doesn't mean showing what they do, but turning attention to them. If Oren was a tiny little ratty town with a handful of players it would need a spotlight, something that makes people turn to it and remember they are there. Perhaps even think "Hell, I've never played this race but now that there is something that might attract more RP to them, I might just try!" Thats how it would be here. (Not saying Kha lands are ratty, I love how they were built.) @Tornado Well then cease the war and try to improve relations.

It will give Oren the best item for building, yes it's the best, stone brick is nice, but red colored stone, and blue, and yellow, and whatevery other color you want, is so much better. Hiebe 2493 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I think to make people more happy is to turn the shroom area into the entrance to the mines so dwarves can't have food. Also make 4 separate mines instead of one big one, this will allow open raiding And no perm control, make it so you have to actively defend the mines
