Yes the Duel Plugin sounds nice Telanir, but why not implement Knockout while we wait for it?

Yeah... can't we have knockout back on until the duel plugin is implemented? It would make everyone's day.

Can't you remove the knockout plugin when you bring in the new one? Even if it should never be removed. I'd rather have the knockout plugin than have to stay in some little crypt for 5 minutes, because to be honest, I don't care about the crypt, I do care about the knockout plugin and what we loose with it's removal.

Also, the knockout plugin has nothing to do with mob deaths. You still die when mobs kill you. Maybe you should learn to FEAR things, instead? Or hire bodyguards? Or travel in groups?

Coming from someone who has to deal with death related complaint every single day... why remove knockout if you're gonna implement it again later but in a different form? Why not just keep it on until then?

How is this constructive at all?  Do you think they sat down and had a meeting saying "What's the best way we can make player's miserable"?

 

It's fine if you disagree with the decision, a lot of people do.  But a lot of people have voiced their distaste without whining or being snarky, or having a bad attitude.

Knockout gone is a bad idea.

 

1. Pugsy!
2. Klomps and duels are crippled.
3. RP fighting is now necessary. (Death means item boom is what caused RP fighting to start with)
4. We don't have PvP default at this point, so nobody in their right (or left) mind is going to PvP outside of battles.

Without PvP default, there is no benefit whatsoever to removing knockout (the benefit with PvP default is minor) and a lot of setbacks regardless of the default. Removing it does about as much good as adding ghasts to the mobspawn list.

In the meantime, if you want to stay alive seek out protection in the towns.

Capitals, recruit guards to serve duties, and people... carry less life savings on ya. Buy a house, participate in some roleplay. ^-^

These two speak the truth. All of you really need to chill out. Also, mobs already killed you so I'm not sure why some of you are freaking out about 'mobs deaths' now. And mass pugsying? Yeah, everyone is going to simply start mass murdering because of a patch change. Because, you know, that happens.

 

I think you guys just need to take a step back, and realize that you loosing a few pixel items isn't a big deal.
