History

Xulore was born in a tavern where his mother worked and lived on Asulon. His father, who had a secret relationship with her was not seen often. Hardly showing up as the boy grew over the years. Xulore’s mother was caring, though allowed the boy to learn his mistakes on his own. Often watching him if he did something wrong and had to pay the price. Which resulted in him being beaten at times for acting on impulse. Though he was never protected by his mother during any of these incidents, he still loved her with all his heart. His mother taught him about his heritage. Explaining that he should be cautious with the other races and instructed him to only seek out other Mali’Aheral. At the age of twelve he left the security of the tavern he was raised in. Having enough of the harsh lessons learned from drunks and other lowly beings. He continued on a path going along the coast till he reached a small settlement. He literally left his mother behind. Everything she did for him and everything she didn’t. There he talked with a few of the people who lived there. They offered him a job fishing on the ship they had constructed. Xulore was interested in their offer as he took them up on it.

He was given a small cabin on the ship to live. He stayed there for years to come. He aided in fishing to have a free meal and place to live everyday. He was given days where he could lay around and relax, though after time, the people seemed to demand more from him as he was a getting to the age of being an adult now. He didn’t mind helping out, though doing more than what was necessary was something he didn’t see himself doing. Being older and knowing how other attempt to use him for their own bidding, he’d ignore the extra work. After a while, he took interest in watching them locals construct ships on the shore. Their ways of building were to make a strong, yet suitable vessel to travel the seas with. He even found himself lending a hand with their builds. months turned to years as he grew. The time came when he was told they had to leave Asulon for good.

Xulore was at the age of thirty five at this time. They loaded what they could on the ship and set sail into the unknown. They seemed to travel for weeks until they finally came across fresh land on the horizon. Anthos as it would later be dubbed. They found a reasonable spot to dock along the coast as they eventually made it to shore. After some months of collecting supplies from the neighboring woodlands, they constructed a small settlement to stay while stationed at land. The placement along the coast was well secluded and far from and other city or town. Perfect for a Xulore to harbor his thoughts and learn to stand on his own two feet. He continued to help those he was staying with, though always keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity.

He didn’t trust others very well, learning from his mistakes in the recent past. He often pushed anything others said to him in advice to the side, unless it made perfect sense in his eyes. Now fully grown at the age of nineteen, he stood tall at six foot seven. Having the knowledge of how to build structures and ships of different models, understanding what it takes to stand on his own. He continued to live in the settlement, gathering materials he seen fit to harbor as the years passed. He found himself wandering from the village in search of things of interest. The land, items, people, the way structures were built. Anything to sate his curiosity. Years continued to pass as he gained more insight on ship building, learning how to construct even larger ships that would be sufficient in staying out to sea for long periods of time. Xul seen this as a skill that could be put to good use for whatever the reason see fit.

Time continued to roll by as Xulore started to grow bored of living at the small settlement. After awhile, he finally packed what few belongings he had as he then set out on the open road once more, not even saying goodbye to the people who had taken him in so many years ago. Now at the age of forty, a very young elf as he had the world of Anthos in front of himself. Though he wished to travel as far as he could. Just keep walking into the horizon. He knew he couldn’t do such a thing as he would run out of the small amount of rations he had eventually. He had to find a suitable place to stay for the time. He continued to venture on the path, leaving the coast as he headed inland. He walked for days as the forest seemed to stretch up around him as he did. Thicker and thicker the trees became on the path until one would hardly be able to weave through the thick branches. Making his way on the trail, he saw something in the distance. A structure. He slowly approached it as his eyes scanned around for any movement. He soon realized the home was long forgotten and abandoned. He made his way up to the door, making his way inside. There he found the place to be in shambles. He began to clean the place and eventually fixed it up enough to call a home.

He was now far in the Witchwoods. Though many dangers lurked in the forest, he enjoyed the quiet, the solitude. He continued to fix the house up as time went on. He started a small garden outside, enough to give him his rations to survive. Years continued to roll by as he lived in seclusion. Not caring to venture into the open world at the time. Feeling safe in the woods. Which the woods were not. Xulore soon found out what type of creatures lurked the woods. Tall, lengthy creatures with eyes that glowed purple. The Dark Ones as they are called. Xul wasn’t frightened by these beasts, more of a curiosity of why they were drawn to this place. He studied them for a time, though they seemed to know when he attempted to look at them. This almost cost him his life as he learned they /hate/ being looked in the eyes. Xulore had literally let years pass as he lived in the makeshift home. Feeling no need to venture out in the world just yet as he continued to enjoy the eerie forest in which he lived for the time being. He did his daily chores, picking fresh vegetables for supper, making sure his house was clean and secure.

These things were constantly playing through his mind day after day. Xulore had let thirty years pass as he lived there, he met a few people who’d stumbled upon his home from time to time. He made conversation to hear what was happening around Anthos, though he never really got out to see the effects it had on the lands. One day, Xulore woke up, the urge he felt to stay secluded from the rest of the world had seemed to lift from him. He packed his things once more as he adorned his favorite traveling robes, his satchel at his side as he then made his way from the home, turning back as he smiled, thinking on how the structure has aided him all these years. He turned back as he then made his way off into Anthos.
