  1. Camilla Falkner read over the missive with chuckle. "When did we have familial bonds in the begin with? No Augusten knows that Elio had any children, and this one is far too old to be one of my triplet brother's children. "
  2. Camilla Falkner giggled at the statements. "They act as though Augusten betrayed them. Meanwhile they betrayed Augusten. A founding family held below new and insignificant vassals, for years. Outcasted even before the talk of vampires. Isn't it some betrayal when your fellow countrymen turn against you, and erase a half century of contribution? Why should a family stay when the entirety of their former friends and allies turn against them, disrespect them, and kill their livelihood."
  3. Death of the White Falconess The Burning of the von Augusten Manor, 1947. Comparable to all evenings of recent years, the former Countess of Hohengarten ended her day in her chambers, seated on the highest floor of the manor. Cosima was helped to bed by her husband, Peter Leopold d’Azor. The von Augusten manor of today was a far cry from what it was a decade ago. A fire, two mass burglaries, and the great flood had ruined the house’s interior. Recent events had driven her kin out of their homeland, leaving the once full and bustling manor deserted. Even now, the lady von Augusten never forgot her place as a founder of Aaun. Cosima was the opposite of eager to leave Whitespire, and other than her declining health, as she told her eldest Daughter the last time Carice visited, “I am from Haense, and I have lived in Sedan, and Bailan. But, Aaun is my home”. As Peter Leopold departed the room, Cosima rested her head upon the feathered pillow. It was a warm night, and the window hung open to let in cool air. Regardless of her unwillingness to leave her home, Cosima thought to herself in that moment just how much she hated Whitespire. The smells from the streets below, the people and how they slandered her children and grandchildren. Throughout most of her life, Cosima lived in the countryside, having been raised to live off the land. As soon as she had moved into Whitespire, the founder of von Augusten had begun to decline in health. Laying alone in the forsaken manor, Cosima Monika made a remark of the stench, before seizing her Lorraine to begin nighttime prayer. She prayed for the soul of her grandson, afflicted by a horrible curse. For the happiness of her daughters. Safety for her last son and his children. She thought of her six children, twenty-five grandchildren, and her seven great grandchildren. Some living, and some dead. She prayed for her two nieces, and her siblings. Eventually, Cosima drifted to sleep. She awoke some time later in the evening, hearing loud noises coming from the base of her home. Cosima blinked, desperately looking around the room, but she was too weak to lift herself up in the bed. With no avail, she laid back down. “Peter will come get me,” she spoke to herself, a small smile forming on her lips when she thought of her long-time husband. Cosima closed her eyes, and quickly fell back to sleep. She would never wake again, unaware of the flames engulfing her prized home, leaving only ashes as remnants of the structure.
  4. Camilla Falkner read over the missive with a large frown. She let out a sigh looking to her husband. "There is a vampire threat, and I hope they can end it. They will not find it going after a little girl, one who is traumatized by all the attacks upon her house as of recent."
  5. Wonder if this will ever get looked at again... Dreaming of Caelia
  6. Camilla Falkner read over the missive with a light frown. "I should go visit my aunt and uncle in this time of grief."
  7. Camilla von Augusten read over the missive in her home thinking to herself. "Perhaps they should have demanded all Haverlocks get tested, instead of demanding it of us."
  8. The Aging former Countess of Hohengarten read over the the missive with curiousity. It was true in their initial arrival as part of Aaun, the old woman could only remember the horror stories. How her uncle was killed by the emperor, what the Orennians did to their people. Cosima Monika looked to her husband, @MailC3p "We started a new after the fall of Oren and we did fine. They will as well, and it brings me happiness to see them advocate to all their message. When not many descendants of Novellen are so keen to make the plunge into disregarding any claim. "
  9. I agree their is obvious bias. I have played female personas in Aaun since its founding and found that unlike others who were doing very similar to me. They men personas get more recognition. They can also stay relevant longer. If you play human females you should just pk at age 40, because so many people just think you are worthless and past your youth irp. On a side note, the issue with Galina may be less about gender, and more off culture. I started my time on the server in Haense, then moved to an Aaun main. In both countries(not all) but most communities are rather inclusive. If you aren't their friend ooc/or have politics to do with them you will get ignored. In the past this issue has drawn people of my community away, because it makes the whole country seem rather harsh and unfriendly. I hope you find better luck with your persona, and feel free to reach out to me if you ever want our personas to meet! This happens so much. The worst part about it is that it means you are putting in all that time as that person as a little girl. Just to get married, get treated bad irp. Usually I hear of it perplexing to the point they just shelve the personas.
  10. Wondered why the daughter of the Prince of Merryweather was going by your highness.
  11. "Speaking of the ideas of the Founders when one Is still here. It was never seen as just to give a single vassal the ability to demote or remove any of his comrades from their title. This just allows for tyranny, and in particular immense power to the grand peer. Especially power for just the principality of Merryweather who has had members be grand peer since the beginning. This creates good points to the United Kingdom of Aaun, but written with the wrong intentions." The former countess told her group of political students.
  12. The former countess Cosima raised an eyebrow at the decree only knowing the name Amador with its ill. "Haenseni-folk and their tyranny of forcing each of their own to stay within the country. Haense is a home of the highlanders, or at least was... Highlanders must go where they need to." She told her husband @MailC3p "I can't imagine disowning one of our own just for not finding home in their native lands."
  13. Camilla to her cousin. "Look the trash is being taken out." She burst into laughter. @FireAGN
  14. I am a man who only plays female personas. I can tell you there are tons of people who will talk so much smack/ will refuse to have marriages with women played by men. I will refrain my thoughts on it further, because I think it would be very dramatic lol. Butt, on lotc you slowly find people you like to interact with irp and oocly. The people you want to interact with, they won't have any problem with it all. Those with their toxic masculinity, well you will prefer to not interact with them.
  15. Cosima Monika read over the Repentance, sadness flushing over her. For a moment she couldn't help but sob. After a moment she wiped her eyes, and went straight to the stationary. My dearest Blanca, It is not for me to judge you, nor is it truly anyone else. Only Gott can judge us truthfully. I watched you grow, as did I my other nieces and my own children, then grandchildren. Mistakes are a part of life, especially our youth. Yet we live and we learn, those mistakes make us who we are. We learn from them and adapt to become better. When I first met you I couldn't believe your resemblance to your uncle Peter. Those d'Azor genes were always more strong in your mother Renee's children then my own. Except for your cousin Marlena, and sometimes when I look at the both of you, I get confused these days. Then after your mother's death you were having issues with your family, and I told you that your mother always wanted you to be partly raised like she had been. In the Azor keep, where your uncle and she had their best memories. You never need to forgive us for being in our lives, it was a blessing to us. I will never leave your life, and I pray you never leave ours. You may not be my blood, but you share the blood of my love, for that I will always love you. I will see you soon sweet girl. Your aunt, Cosima von Augusten
  16. Laena saw the land on the horizon, and she muttered to herself in her native tongue "Let this be a sanctuary, after this horrid travel. May my prince find us a home here." She took off her shoes, ready to feel her feet upon the sands of the new land. Though her home Mantarys, her family, would always be on her mind. But it is worth it to serve her prince in his endeavors.
  17. I am still shocked by it all, I wish I would have had the chance to get to know her better. She was always so sweet and friendly. One of the first people I interacted with on the server when I started.
  18. Cosima read the missive with a dismissive shake of the head. "These are not the words of my son. The boy is more loyal to Aaun than most of its citizens." She stood, prepared to get her horsemen ready
  19. Cosima sighed reading over the missive. "Ah because to wear a gown is so inferior." She scoffed then looking to her youngest daughters. "Maybe one day femineity won't be seen as making a person lesser."
  20. Guarding the pass with her lady archers, a rider would meet up from the Hohengarten and deliver the message to the countess Cosima von Augusten. She read it over slowly, not missing a single word even. Before turning to her granddaughter Anne, "Our loyalty shall always lie with whom has the Aunnic people's best interest in mind. The way I see it, that can only be an Alstion. These barbarians just want blood, so we shall give it to them..." The group would quickly move to quickly travelled pass and wait for the traitors.
  21. THE OFFICE OF THE EMISSARY IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD, 1911 The Aunnic Office of the Emissary is a vital part of the national bureaucracy. 22. Cosima von Augusten read over the article with a frown and shake of head in disapproval. Muttering to herself. "It seems some move on very quickly."
