Walter read the missive, letting out a small hum afterwards. He handed the missive back to his automaton "I wonder if I could be of help, I have halted my works in the field of medicine for the sake of clockwork for a while now. Perhaps it is time I revisit what got me here in the first place."

Walter woke up in the clinic after the battle. In his beaten state, he staggered towards the pod where the tinkering engine noises were coming from. His eyes widened, he was only able to mutter a single sentence: "It worked..."

Walter read the missive with a curious expression which was followed up with a nod after "Ah, I was expecting more of a letter, but a public missive would do to let me know as well." He said in a sarcastic manner before chuckling. He then placed the missive down and stared at the missive's seal "I sure hope this brings in the right people."

Walter started reading missive from the comfort of his house, frankly far away from the conflict "Oh just get it over with...Vikela is long gone yet she is the causation of this 'crusade'. They are just looking for reasons to fight at this point." Walter kept on reading, then remembered an old missive from the crown of Vortice. "I mean...Vikelians did warn them and asked for unity, only to be met with 'repentance'. Good luck repenting now." He just shrugged, then promptly put down the missive after finishing reading it.

Walter read the missive, with a raised brow, he turned to his automaton that brought the missive to him with a question "Why did you bring me this old missive from the Vikela war? I thought they had already stated their point." His automaton then spoke with its plucky voice "This missive is brand new." said his automaton. "Oooooh...again? Should have known better, truly."

A saddened look donned over Walter's face, as he was notified of his dear friend's passing. Slowly one by one, his friends were passing away. His train of thought immediately went back to the days of Pavia, where Walter had been caught looking for books on medicine in Pavia's clinic when he was but an amateur practitioner. That day, Greg had spared his life and recruited him instead of approaching with hostility. Now going through the pages of the book he obtained then, he promised to keep his friend's memory alive until his last breath. After all, people die twice; once when their soul leaves their body, and twice when their name is uttered for the last time. "May your soul rest within the protection of Feidelhm, old friend."

Walter read the missive in his classroom "All power to Silasia for the support they have given to us when we needed, and now for them to be a host and a bridge to groups of skilled soldiers? Great things are really happening."

Walter himself would be tinkering with his automaton hand when the letter was received, brought to him by his automaton. After reading the letter itself, a deep sigh escaped his mouth, he threw the tool which he was using in a fit of sorrow and anger. "I did take off the mask, old friend...May your soul rest in peace and your journey kept safe." Afterwards, he would wipe his tears which streamed down his face after his fit of sorrow, he grabbed a drink from his cabinet and poured one out for his old friend. "Until our paths cross in afterlife, Grimm.."

Walter lets out a deep sigh after reading it "Gone too soon, old friend, I will pay my respects one way or another..."

Walter was preparing for the upcoming war, the news of his old student's passing made its way over to him. Upon receiving the news, Walter's eyes widened "Oh dear..." He muttered to himself, remembering the short but fun memories he's had with Cedric "May Feidelhm guide his soul, and guard it well." He then let out a deep sigh afterwards.

Walter took a glance at the missive that his automaton brought, a soft smile rested on his face "Perseverance. Perhaps Lurin is restoring its honour. Let us hope Lumia doesn't cry for the throne after Lurin manages to get back up on their feet." He covered his mouth with a gasp and spoke under his breath sarcastically "What if Gundanat forged her signature so that he could be the new Lubba?!"

Walter would arrive in Dunwen to pay a visit to his friend Timothy, but he would be met with a horrifying sight of his friend's house in shambles. He would walk in with a sword drawn, only to see the said shovel and dagger. "What in the...who could have done this-" As Walter could not find Timothy after searching the entire house, he would notice the trail after heading out. "Who would even target the one and only Timothy..?" He said, beginning his search for his friend.

Walter's automaton would bring the missive over to him while he was attending the injured before the upcoming fight. He simply offered a light nod after reading the missive "We had many that deserted for they succumbed to cowardice, pointless accusations masked behind excuses. But life is short to hold grudges. We must stand proud with the ones that stand with us, and honour the ones that believe in us. With Field Marshal's puissant expertise, let us hope and do what we must for Vikela to prosper." His monologue was interrupted by a quiet wince of his patient, he cleared his throat before continuing his duty.

Walter would be handed the missive by his automaton, skimming through it before seeing a familiar name: "Bones". His eyes widened with an impressed expression donning his face "Wait a second, I know that gobbo!" His exclaim was followed up by a nod of respect.
