  1. A private letter was sent to the correspondence of one Alysanne Serena, "Hello Alysanne, As you may know, I have been participating in Northern efforts against the Mori'Quessir with a small, hand-picked team. I would be remiss to not state the precarious nature of the Northern frontline due to the Mori'Quessir's strength and Norland's lack thereof. Alisgrad itself was besieged by the Mori'Quessir. This indicates that the enemy is confident in their capability to secure their supply lines and has the manpower available in the North to last in a war of attrition. Nothing that has currently occurred in the North dissuades me from believing that this is an unchanged fact. Without a change, let me reiterate, Norland’s defeat and the oncoming instability that it’d provide to the North is an imminent threat. This is why I have come to you to request logistical necessities for changing the situation at large. This is a threefold request of: Equipment, support personnel, and foodstuff. Equipment represents not only munitions but also armours and other items used on missions; Support personnel are officers, medical personnel, maintenance crews; And foodstuff is self-explanatory. This will all require the security of supply-lines. These are required as a result of my intention to begin sabotaging supply lines and working to disrupt the Mori'Quessir's ability of waging war, trying to lessen the attritional burden in the North. Let me know if you have any questions, Alfie Fabius.”
  2. Goals: Scouting and, if possible, sabotaging the Bjornfall encampment. Gear: Grappling Hooks Snow Camouflage Cloaks Arbalests Maces Explosive Potions Flame Oil Smoke Potions Winterized Armours Heat/Night-vision Goggles Involved Individuals: Glass Alfie Fabius Astarte Lorenthus Thalia Event Summary by Astarte Lorenthus and edited by Alfie Fabius The involved individuals, now to be called Alfie’s Group, separated from the total Norlandic group near the bottom of the mountain. They moved to the side and used their goggles, finding the battlements supporting about twenty moving heat signatures, reporting that to the Norlandic group. While scouting, the castle suddenly blew a horn. There was then a following, distant horn from the west. Shortly after, an arrow-like object was shot into the sky. It was surrounded by fire, blasting into the sky like a fireball flare. The Norland party, north of Alfie’s own, was spotted. Alfie’s Group then scaled into the castle. Due to their camouflage and the blizzard, they went undetected scaling the wall. As they made their way to the ramparts a veritable legion of Gladiators could be seen, kneeling in front of a statue of some kind of idol. At the center, stood three dark clad figures speaking in a strange tongue. The three figures appear to be leaders, barking out orders to the legion, and pointing at the statues as they go. The dark-clad three figures then went off the pedestal, marching to the far side. The ground continued to rumble, and the gladiators kept chanting. The rumbling intensifies, making it difficult to stand. After a few moments, some kind of giant tower of black spread into the sky, swallowing the statue. Lightning occurred, showing the group thousands of legs and a great mouth. It rose until it hit the ground, and then slid back into the ground. Things began to fall off its body: Six ten foot tall behemoths of metal towering over the gladiators, with crested helm officers appearing to be their leader. Those figures began to spread around. At this, the group began to glance for ways out and final movements, sabotaging the gate controls, and scaling out of their - Hitting a quick retreat after some kind of alarm was raised. The gate exploded and then was broken by the figures. Injuries None Notes Bjornfall appears to have heavy artillery. Bjornfall Gate mechanism destroyed. Horns are the way of long-distance communication for the Mori’Quessir. Camouflage works against the Mori’Quessir. About 20+ within the encampment. 6 Figures, designated Ironclads, are in the encampment.

  8. A pamphlet was attached to it: "Those with only words and without a will to act are of themselves uncivilized and impure; Racial failures such as these commit themselves to unbinding discussions that result in laughter from all others. These deserve nothing but the self-reflection of the race if they fully deserve their own self-given status as a proper civilization that is able to defend itself from attacks upon its culture and its people without needing to keep its city shut and isolated - Pretending the world outside its land hasn't happily progressed without its influences. Humanity, the dwarves, and other races have done more in recent years than the High Elves of Haelun'or have done in those years, locked behind its gates. Steamships from the dwarves and enhancements of governance in Haense to represent its diversity of population & perspectives show how far behind the Haelun'or government has fallen behind these peoples it calls uncivilized and impure. The only claim to fame that the Haelun'or governance has is civil strife and an unfortunate track record for being a complete failure of being a bastion of Constitutionalism, Republicanism, and Freedom. Nonetheless, the pamphlet is hilarious. Keep producing them. - A Republican Mali."
  9. Only knew you for a good part of a month - Accidentally started it off the wrong way. Unfortunate you're leaving and I will say that I'll miss seeing you around actively.
  10. A post was posted around notice boards all around Almaris. Legio I Alericum “I swear to faithfully execute all that the Officers commands, to never desert the Legion, and to accept the sacrifices necessary for the destruction of forces that’d threaten the Almaris continent.“ - The Oath The Legio I Alericum is based on the military forces of Consul Fabius’ youth, which is declared in many of its sigils, traditions, and virtues. It is made up of volunteers from all nations who are ordinary men and women who have volunteered their lives for the sake of defending Almaris from external threats that would destabilize the continent and its peoples. These ordinary men and women have seen the tragedy of the Arcas Continent, witnessing as Inferni massacred its people. They witnessed as they were thrown off. Lesser men would have given in, fallen on their sword, and wasted away in indifference at the sight of all they knew dying. These are not lesser men. The Legionaries have heard the call to defend Almaris from the same tragedy. They will deploy themselves in centuries, cohorts, and their whole legion to scour the continent for the foe. They will achieve total victory by usage of formations of scale and power. They will do everything for the sake of final victory against the evil that plagues the world. They will refuse to give in, even if the land would crack and burn around them. They will commit every last ounce of strength they have to fight off the darkness, ensuring their memory is etched onto the walls of history. Legion Structure Though the Legion is based on the olden mythos of the militaries of Lucius’s youth, he is not naive. There is, unfortunately, no capacity of an independent group to manufacture itself as a large force subsisting off the will of Legatus himself. In order to better cope with the realities of the situations around himself, Lucius has put more focus onto the centuries of the Legion by making them smaller and giving the leaders of the Centuries integrity to perform as they believe necessary to achieve mission objectives. The total structure is as so: Each of the Centuriis are led by Centurions, with the exception being Centurii I, which is led by the Legatus himself. Each centurii will be made up of four members: Two legionnaires, a medicus, and one centurion. A medicus is equipped with all the necessary medical gear required, an arbalest, and an arming sword; A legionary and a centurion is equipped with two pilums, an arbalest, a steel towershield, and an arming sword. The Centurion will also carry around a bugle for sounding to the rest of the Legion if required. The Legatus is the leader of the Legion, solely responsible for setting required or optional mission objectives. Centurions are officers of the Legion with a wide berth to achieve predetermined mission objectives in the way that they see fit if they believe it necessary. Furthermore, each centurion can plan centurii-specific missions with approval from the Legatus. However, in order to insistently make sure that the missions are able to continue to uphold the values of the Legion, Legatus Fabius has found it necessary to develop rules of engagement for the Legion’s perpetual survival. Rules of Engagement Nothing in these rules of engagement limits your right to take appropriate action to defend yourself and your centurii. You have the right to use force to defend yourself against attacks or threats of attack. Hostile fire may be returned effectively and promptly to stop a hostile act. Proportional response should be given to the hostile act. When Alerian forces are attacked by unarmed hostile elements, mobs, and/or rioters, Alerian forces should use the minimum force necessary under the circumstances and proportional to the threat. You may not seize property of others to accomplish the mission. You may not break the law of the nation’s land to accomplish the mission. Detention of civilians is authorized for security reasons or in self-defense. All Dark Creatures must be treated as Hostiles except in circumstances deemed necessary by the commanding officer: All Hostiles must be eliminated. With this in mind, the Legion and its structures would be able to behave appropriately no matter the scenario. Traditions & Sigils The traditions of the Legion is key to its continuity with its past and it shares much in common in terms of formalities but the Alerians have come to terms that these traditions will hamper its effectiveness in the field. In order to keep continuity between itself and the past, the Alerians have shifted much of the traditions to formal ceremonies. Rank promotions to Centurionship are not handled formally, however, often being given a simple formal announcement and a new sigil and plume showing one’s new position in the legion at a meeting that the entire Legion is gathered with. It is the nature of the necessitated smallness of the legion that only plans for the whole Legion and funerals for Legionaries after battles are often the only formal ceremonies given. However, in these ceremonies, sigils of the legions are given. Among these is the flag, or Vexillum, of the Legion: Furthermore is the Aquila, a golden Eagle, that is carried around with the Legion to formal ceremonies. So important are these two symbols that no funeral or planning meeting can occur without them; They are core to the identities of the Legion itself. These traditions are extremely important to keeping the integrity and cohesiveness of the Legion. In this, they can fully declare themselves for the goals of the legion: Destroying all threats to the realm.
