  1. "Didn't despise her like the ginger, nor endeared her like sweet Emma. . . but she waz proper and dobre for the Kongzem and itz denizens, and that'z what matters." "Koengs and Koenas seem more and more to just kome and go. . " Tavisha ruminated this fact, as she now moved on to serve the 4th Monarch of her lifetime.
  2. "Malflame? And given the drawing... shit looks like an imp." Tavisha knit her brows, perplexed by the author's lack of either acumen, knowledge or both. "Will have to see this through with certain someone. . ." She sighed
  3. Fair enough, yeah. Maybe a list of ideas could be compiled to inspire the community to do that kinda RP!
  4. On The Augmented Flame: I think to achieve each one of the 2 greater spells of choice, a Nephilim should develop themselves IRP, and that there should be a lasting effect to achieving them, that'd change the Nephilim forever. Ex: 1) Primordial Descent could involve the Nephilim going in a journey to connect further with their Draconic Roots, living for a brief while in the wilds like a draconic creature, instead of a descendent, thus shedding their polymorphed guises. This all the while also building their own strength, trying attain peak physical strength (instead of other "stats"). As a consequence, when wroth or when dealing with surges of emotion, this Nephilim could accidentally begin mixing in draconic words; or acting more "animalistic". Another thing being they could have a greater urge to sleep after combats, a "Dragonsleep" essentially. Or developing greater appetites ("Dragons Hunger"). 2) Emboldened Strength could revolve around martial art studies and phylosophy, trying tie together as perfectly as possible the Inner Flame to the Nephilim's body, all the while making peace with the Mind (since there's the whole RP about it being a 'descendent mind' with a draconic concious and soul). This Nephilim should also seek physical equilibrium and control of their own body, pursuing a martial artist's path (especially given they'd fight with their hands). Consequences could include them being more temperate than their fellow brethren, and peace of mind. Though they'd often have/seek meditation (which could tie into the World Lore about some of the Draconic Herbs Jentos wrote and what not), and dousing themselves in dragonsflame. 3) Not quite sure about the Cindered Ward, as I didn't think this through as I begun to write it. But it should imply a will to be the vanguard and to protect, and to combat/purge corruption (as reflected in the spell's effect). This could tie into Nephilim who uttermostly seek to honor the Horenic Path. A consequence could be a more paternal/maternal mentality towards fellow Nephilim, Heralds and those they seek to protect. 4) Imbued Roar could revolve around development of the voice, introducing Draconic Throat-Singing as a Cultural mark in the azdrazi community, while also developping the Nephilim's own inner voice, seeking and figuring out ways to better express themselves and reach out to those who surround them through words and expression (a challenge for a draconic being). Why? Because if they are to protect humanity as per the Horenic Pact, they must better understand and commune with it. A distinct taste for music, singing, poetry among other arts could spawn from this within the Nephilim, as a consequence. I think all of the above are ways to make the Roleplay more interesting and in-depth than just "OOCly choose the ones you like the most"; and that's something I've been told the Azdrazi need and seek to build upon. Pretty damn cool rewrite tho!
  5. "Ai... this text waz pretty shit. Wish Ea'd have read it before the Koeng authorized itz publicization" Tavisha sighed profusively, her hands slowly rubbing her temples upon concluding reading. "Celian'or'z hateboner towards Krugmar iz klear, and it'll do us all nye dobre in the end."
  6. "Will be strange without him there. . ." Dame Tavisha pondered, perching down upon a cooled meteorite that struck the outskirts of the city amidst the scorched fields reeking of sulphur and bloody iron of both mortal men and foul fiends. Unbeknowsnt to the fallen Ser, Tavisha had much to thank him for: his ascension to Paramount in her stead in truth freed her, allowing the old adunian to gaze new horizons, keeping past ambitions behind her, as the man fulfilled the role well. Unlike him, she wouldn't settle for being a wall, nor to being locked within them. But even if she did, in truth none could stand as firm and loyal to the very end as Ser Walton did.
  7. Tavisha read the missive from Karosgrad's clinic, still healing and resting after the events which transpired that day, readying for the Siege. Her head shook "Ea told vy this all along, Karl . . ." as she took in a deep inhale, reading the conclusion of his writings "But maybe now vyr eyes have opened."
  8. Got a couple things to point out. 1st) Why not allow for Nephilim scales and flame to come in a greater array of colors? Just a petty gripe of mine, but I always found it interesting how the appearance of a being can tell more about its persona, so allowing for more free form aesthetic customization imo could be nice for those characters. 2nd) Isn't the whole losing all sexual organs thing weird af? Sure, when transformed into draconic form it makes sense, but while disguised? Ehh If it's a female nephilim, would they become entirely flat-chested when polymorphed into descendent form? Because if so, that'd be a rather simple way to spot a Nephilim (if this was discovered). It could also lead to degenerate forms of 'testing', as if looking for heraldry tattoos across a character's body wasn't awkward enough to RP. To me it feels like an over the top solution, when a simpler one would work better and give room for weird thoughts/discussion. Just make it so Nephilim do not feel any sexual desire whatsoever, finding it disgusting instead. 3rd) Cindered Shadow is pretty much shit for all I can tell: an ability that would lead an azdrazi to lose a fight rather easily, instead of helping much at all. The giant shadow hand can tank 3 hits but... 1 hit taken = 1 turn WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO FIGHT. So literally, one could throw 3 rocks at this hand (3 hits) and the Nephilim would be stunned and unable to fight back for 3 emotes, allowing them to EASILY be killed. This makes it even worse given this is supposed to be the melee azdrazi subtype. 1 Turn without being able to fight at all is more than enough to kill someone by stabbing them or striking their heads. Sure, no real damage is sustained, only the pain gets through (if I understood it right) but still... being stunned and unable to fight is the worst that could happen in a fight. And it seems any "hit" would be able to stun the drazi out of the fight for 1 emote. So honestly, why the **** use this ability? It's a death sentence. Just wear armor or/and use a shield, there's no point to this but screwing yourself over. What could be done is: a) have this ability be more offensive and therefore capable of grappling/grabbing and punching instead of being a makeshift shield only (it's a giant freaking hand, symbolizing 'draconic strength' afterall). In this case, it'd simply dissipate after delivering or sustaining 3 hits, leading the Nephilim into a state of fatigue for 1-2-3 emotes wherein they can't attack, only defend themselves. Of course, the size and strength level of the gigantic hand would have to be established. After all, it's a bit awkward imo to say this gigantic hand can only shield/protect and not attack, as logically... how come not? Would it be similar to 'Draconic Remembrance'? Yes, but they already are. The way I see it though, the latter is more like a fist shaped explosive fire construct; whereas the former here as I propose it, would be more like an actual flying hand, providing more utility and defense in exchange for less offense (it can hit as hard as the other hand spell, but without the flames or the explosion, and without any AoE). b) The other alternative would be to remove the self-stun effect of the shadow when it isn't coating the Nephilim's body (for this would be a lesser defensive stance). When the shadow wreathes them like armor, it could indeed tank the damage, but not the pain: they'd feel the hit as it comes normally (perhaps still delaying the pain), but the damage would be halved. Should an uruk strike a nephilim with the shadow coating them, the nephilim would suffer the damage as if a human had struck them instead; yet the pain would be the same (be it immediate or delayed a few emotes). Overall, the worst part of this ability as written now is how regardless of the physical defenses the nephilim might have on (armor, shield, etc), hitting the shadow with anything (no matter the force, no matter how hard) would effectively stun them for multiple emotes. As it stands, it's imo something wiser never ever used.
  9. She had been remiss, not only in this tragic night but for a while. The loss was iminent, drawing closer and closer, gnawing at the back of her head for the longest, a seed planted into the back of her head since they first met: whereas Gustaf was wholly human, Tavisha's blood flowed with elven intermixed, and she too well knew if she weren't to fall in battle, she'd fall to her knees in sorrow, crushed not by hammers but by the pain of loss of her dear husband, as she sees herself now. Being close to him, as he aged near the century, sickened her stomach with anxiety and worry, so at times she tried to distance herself, never cheating like her father Ser Alric did so many times (which led to her birth, a bastard, loved by almost none, yet by her now late husband), but in attempts to distract herself, and slowly mute feelings, something she never succeeded in. So she spent time trying figure out ways to improve Gustaf's welfare, heck even delving into elden archives of forsaken alchemists in pursuit of the Elixir of Life she so often dreamed of, or even at times contemplating alternatives darker. Whereas for the longest time in her life she was frightened of death, aware of the doom that awaited her, cursed by the old Chieftain of the Nachezer Fiends to plunge into the deepest hells with him; Gustaf was calm and accepting of his mortal end, going through it peacefully - something Tavisha never learned to do. Now she sat by him in the morgue, head peering down onto the floor in defeat, not a word echoing out her mouth, as her very vision blurred, as anxiety and lament churned across her form, flooding her mind, weakening her heart and paining her soul. Her children had moved onto their lives, and now her life long companion was gone, and now she envied those who could still speak to the dead. Perhaps, it was time for her to go too, into hells? Hopefully not - but rather into the unknown, guided by the faintest spiral of flame. She lived with full-blooded humans, and lived her share, it stood to reason to put an end to the chapter and allow for the next to be written by another.
  10. "God damnit Karl . . ." Tavisha wearily rubbed her brows, utterly disappointed at her Koeng for not having listened to her words earlier at the meeting. "At least this weaponry may be of use against the giant demonic figure depicted facing off against the dragon - should it breach into our world - among other eminent threats."
  11. A golden gauntlet folded around the summons paper which reached him, unwreathing the parchment to dissect it's contents. "And so does the mortal lust for power compel men fretful to lose it into slander; and out of trepidation, into antagonizing those who sought to warn and enlighten them. Men who'd sooner turn against fellow brethren beneath Deus than those ushering the ruin of us all, as they did more than once against Oren - flebilis." Said Sagistario, Missionary of the Enlightened. "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely. . ." Sagistario hummed, sending a white dove to Karosgrad's aviary, setting up their rendezvous with the Brotherhood.
  12. "******* finally" Tavisha exhaled a weary huff in solemn celebration.
  13. "An opportunity to humble komplacent noble children, at last." Lieutenant Dame Tavisha chimed with a smile, upon being handed such a pamphlet by Giovanna Florentino. In truth, Tavisha always bore disdain towards those of noble birth, believing and knowing they always had it easy on their lives, leading to arrogance, pettiness and weakness - the Koeng albeit, through this, provided a way to teach them otherwise, to have them grind once in their lives.
  14. " 'Well-traveled' ?" Tavisha laughed. "Praised be Godric, now in the Skies, albeit"
  15. "'Enchanted Forest'..." She repeated upon reading the pamphlet, reflecting upon it for an instant. "Dobry way to encourage children to head into ve akkursed woods of Krusev - right outside of Karosgrad - into ve Beast'z arms." A very concerned Dame Tavisha rubbed her temples after a weary sigh, utterly disappointed at whoever approved of this idea.
  16. Really sad to see you go. We neither roleplayed or knew each other much, but I was fond of the few interactions we had, and wish there'd been more of them. I also find merit in your willingness to involve newer players into deeper lores of the server, as often many of the fantasy aspects of LOTC are kept hidden and gatelocked OOC (a middle-ground imo being the ideal). Hope you have a good time wherever life takes you nextđź––
  17. Staff should also work on a rule to stop people from spam-emoting dodging, given that's what mostly makes CRP a shit show. After all, dodging swings, especially in armor, isn't realistic at all - just look up IRL duels with medieval weapons, they simply go too fast. If you are within reach, you either block or get hit, cus a weapon swings faster than your arms move, and your arms move faster than your legs, which move faster than the rest of your body. I proposed a rule to solve this , dunno if it was ever reviewed tho...
  18. I really like those new rules, but this here is indeed prone to lead into odd situations So in order to solution it, I believe there should be an exception when such combat takes place within a nation's capital. The guards, in this case alone, should still be able to join combat, as it's just truly ridiculous otherwise. Though, this could be limited by forcing them to start a X distance away from the bulk of the fight, among other things. Or instead 'reinforcements' could only be allowed to join in after a certain amount of time (10+ minutes for example).
  19. NAF VE KOSSARLY TRIALS & VE ORDEN ABROAD A letter to the KOSSARS I HAENZ Penned on the 14th of Msitza & Dargund of 428 E.S. VA WYZOREN I VE TABLE Lately it has come to my attention how the current knightly trials proposed by the table share a few problems which both work towards heavily delaying the progress of squires and in detriment to their development in some areas. Many of the current trials depend on severe set up by the mentors, of whom many find themselves busy with their other duties, or struggling to do so. By doing away with the old trials, which demanded a knight-aspirant traveled the continent in pursuit of errands from other nations, the squires formed in this era have garnered much less knowledge of the world beyond Haense’s borders, something crucial for such prestigious role, representative of the Kongzem’s best. Knowledge on different cultures, groups, relevant figures and more should all be cardinal in the formation of any highly capable knight, for ignorance most often leads to error and failure in judgment. This has led to the decline of relations between the knightly orders (namely the Crows) and governamental figures of fellow nations and groups, partially reflecting on Haense’s own with said countries. Gone are the times allies and friends of Haense proudly reached to the Knightly Orders of Haense seeking their aid, so are the days of its members actively heading out in errands. For such reasons, I propose the following: In order to become a Crow-Knight, one shall undergo: Three trials listed on the Bogatyrs’ Tome [of which the Trial of the Warrior (Slavomir) shall be a must regardless; and the other two, chosen by the Mentor or Knight Paramount based on the struggles and faults of the squire in question]. Two errand quests on behalf of foreign governments and/or lieges. Those quests must be clearly reported to the table, and must be deemed sufficient to count as a trial. Therefore, they should truly impose a challenge upon the knight-aspirant. In such travels they must actively seek to learn more about foreign cultures, the world and its dangers (such as beasts, hostile groups and threats spawned by the dark). On top of that, a squire must master their fears (as to not be ruled by them) and overcome their short-comings of character, through whatever means deemed proper by their Mentor and/or the Knight Paramount. Only then shall they be sent on their Knighting Quest, as prophesied by the Oracle and/or issued by His Royal Majesty, the Koeng. The Squire’s Knight-Mentor shall also actively seize the duty of: Taking their squire(s) on trips abroad, sharing down his own experiences and knowledge of the greater world. Teaching about its aforementioned dangers, how to identify and handle them. It shall also be encouraged of the squire to consult other knights beyond their mentors on such matters. The Crow-Knights shall return to actively represent Haense abroad, offering their services as knight-errants and participating in foreign competitions and tournaments alike. An Aviary shall be set at Hallasburg Keep, Lair of the Knights of Haense, to facilitate communication with foreign allies and friends of the orders. Should any seek the Knightly Orders’ aid, a letter should be sent its way. IV MAAN I CAEZKI, Her Ladyship, Dame Tavisha Markov “The Independent” Morovar vas Ruthern, Lieutenant of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, Knight of Haense
  20. Dame Tavisha would attend, especially after having accidentally heard things she shouldn't have, things that left her much worried...
  21. " Luthriel, an Azdrazi...? 'Tiz a joke, right?" Dame Tavisha asked out loud upon reading the missive, addressing it with an idle blink of didans towards the written accusation, followed by a wheezy cough - she was too tired for this nonsense.
  22. Dame Tavisha, Jakob's mother, took the announcement with a deep inhale of gladness, relieved to see her children progress and become their own individuals. To know that soon they'd all have their own partners and children brought her joy: she was at long last having a family of her own, that she could truly feel a sense of belonging to. And when they no longer needed her as much, perhaps she'd find sometime to relax and enjoy the time that she's got left, no matter how long it is.
  23. Tavisha, her mother, abdicated from her duties as often as possible, opting to stay by her daughter and husband's side, no matter how much turmoil and anxiety Valeska's state brew within the confines of her mind, skulked from the others, lest they too worried about her. The Dame would try her best to assure both remained on as healthy and distracted as possible, trying see if they could grasp some joy still. She simply couldn't afford to lose yet another daughter, no matter how powerful of a curse afflicted her and her family alike, and was willing to search out for any methods, no matter how unorthodox, to restore Valeska to full health, and so she did, venturing out often to inquire from specialists from all across Almaris.
